Does Connecticut have a Republican or Democratic Governor?
If Republican, then I think a plausible scenario is Bush appoints Lieberman to Secretary of Defense, and then the Republican will appoint a Republican to the U.S. Senate and Dems lose control again.

Q: Are you considering sending more U.S. troops to Iraq? What would be the justification for it? And how reliable is this new timetable of 12 to 18 months?
BUSH: I will send more troops to Iraq if General Casey says, I need more troops in Iraq to achieve victory. And that's the way I've been running this war.

If he would shoot himself I will make a prilgrimage to the town where Hella-burton was founded (Duncan, OK-Only 60 miles from here) and piss on the founders statue (To re-create the cover of the Who's classic album "Who's Next")
Edit: Darnnit, seems Cheney is hunting alright, hunting for "something else":

Imagine: any juvenile, lowbrow, classless prank you want to pull can be emulated from the vast array of rock icons' behavior! Lucky Day!
not that it isnt a worthy endeavor to be sure, its just hilarious to me that you can find some sort of parallel for just about any crude act you want to perform from copying some joker in rock and roll!

"What's #1?", you ask?

I must admit when I read this I thought, as I have been for a long time, that we will now begin leaving Iraq because all the money to be made has been made/pilfered - thus, his job is done.
