Gift of Screws!

[mylittledemon]

Does anyone have any CD quality MP3's of the individual tracks from this album that they can share?

I know it may come as a shock to some of you, but I don't think i've HEARD hardly any of the GOS stuff (except that which has made it onto later albums).

PS..... I know I'm being a dick begging for files. But, my brother back in the States refuses to send me my Mac/Stevie/Bucky CD collection and I'm Mac-less! It's driving me INSANE. So yeah, everyone's been real gracious putting up with my ****. Especially Jazmen and FoxyLuva

[shackin'up]

I remember sending you some long ago. Shuffle riff, GOS and Twist of fate, if I remember correctly.

I guess you forgot about them. You said you thought they were fairly OK.

Ripping it from the CD as I type...

Whoa...there was a CD? Cool. Cant wait to hear them.

Are the versions of all the other songs different from the versions we currently have..? Like "Come" or "Miranda"...? Are any of them "better" than the SYW versions?

~brandon~

Nope, but I put them on a CD awhile ago.

Hmmm, some of them are different in subtle ways. Come doesn't sound much different. Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind is exactly the same as the UTS version, and so are Bleed to Love Her and Red Rover, if I remember correctly. Minus the Stevie backup.

I'm missing Go Insane (Live).

Also, I'm confused...is it Shuffle Riff or Someone's Got To Change Your Mind? They're both on the track list and I searched for Shuffle Riff and kept coming up with lyrics for SGTCYM. So Somebody's Got To 'Splain It To Me.

[TulsaMINI]

Thank you TulsaMini for responding to my request. :D

Here is the link for anyone else who would like She Smiled Sweetly:

I would love to help you out with goinsane, TM, but I can't find any GOS on my system!

You're very welcome!

Have you lost all your GOS? I could zip all of it together and upload it to yousendit.com if you (or anyone else) needs it.

EDIT: the zipped file is 59mb. That's everything less Go Insane (Live), plus Deep Dense.

[TulsaMINI]

OK, here ya go! Now somebody needs to clear up my Shuffle Riff/SGTCYM confusion and get me a copy of GI (Live). :)

Now somebody needs to clear up my Shuffle Riff/SGTCYM confusion

OK...I get it now. Shuffle Riff has a Someone's Got To Change Your Mind lyric and so the copy of the song I got somebody named it that. I haven't ever had SGTCYM from the GOS tracks.

I have everything now though. I found a bit torrent of the original .flac files. Here's what the info file that was with it states:

Artist: Lindsey Buckingham
Title: Gift Of Screws
Date: 2000/2001
Type: Studio Masters
Quality: A+/A
Media: FLAC Level 8

Track # Track Name
1.01 Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind
1.02 Miranda
1.03 Steal Your Heart Away
1.04 Red Rover
1.05 She Smiled Sweetly
1.06 Come
1.07 Down On Rodeo
1.08 Gotta Get Away
1.09 Try For The Sun
1.10 Shuffle Riff
1.11 Murrow
1.12 Gift Of Screws
1.13 Bleed To Love Her
1.14 Twist Of Fate
1.15 Go Insane
1.16 Say Goodbye
1.17 The Singer Not The Song

I haven't converted them to AIFF yet, but I'm anxious to compare the quality of these with what I already had.

So anyway, that's why I was all confused and sounded like an idiot.
