Who knew politics had such a power over you?

I can't wait to sit back and watch the election coverage tomorrow. Too bad I can't watch at the White House. Oooh to be a fly on the wall in the Oval Office.

Personally, I think he's another one of those closet-case whack-jobs who doth protest too much.

Here are some races to follow tomorrow night as we watch to see if the Dem's can take back control of either or both houses.

Senate races:

Tennessee: Harold Ford Jr.(D) Vs Bob Corker(R)
Missouri: Claire McKaskill(D) Vs Jim Talent(R)
Virginia: George Allen(R) Vs Jim Webb(D)
Pennsylvania: Rick Santorum(R) Vs Bob Casey(D)
Ohio: Mike DeWine(R) Vs Sherrod Brown(D)
Montana: Conrad Burns(R) Vs John Tester(D)

There are more house races obviously that are competetive, but Pennsylvania is a swing state, watch the hosue races there closely. Also, there's a very interesting thing going on here in the first district in Minnesota. Gil Gutnecht, the 6 term Republican rep from Rochester is facing a fierce battle from Democrat Tim Walz. The interesting thing is Gutnecht has won each race with at least 60% of the vote each time. He really hasnt had any personal scandals, so the fact that he's facing a serious challenge to his seat is very interesting.

"As the hobbits are going up Mount Doom, the Eye of Mordor is being drawn somewhere else. It's being drawn to Iraq and it's not being drawn to the U.S. You know what? I want to keep it on Iraq. I don't want the Eye to come back here to the United States."

in the eyes of some in this area, since I tend to vote for who I think can get the job done instead of kissing a political parties ass.

Let's say that alot of state Demos will be lucky this year in regards to receiving my (Independent) vote...I guess it's my early X-Mas present for 'em.

You should add the Rhode Island race to the above list. Chafee (R) vs. Whitehouse (D). Dems are poised to take that state.

We already went to vote this morning. I'm sure both Deb & myself were the youngest people at the poll (Most of the people voting this morning were between the ages of 60-80, and NONE were confused about how to vote...Unlike idiots in other states!)

One state question on the ballot is rather a waste of time:

State Question No.733-Which, if passed, would remove a ban on alcoholic sales on election day.

I voted before work. Not too much of a line, but there were a steady flow of people going in/out.

Here, the local races are the most hotly contested - mayor and city council. Only one Congressional race on the ballot -- the incumbent Dem has it in the bag.

I'm watching our govenor's race the closest. The r-tard we have in office now is responsible for the only government shutdown in Minnesota's history. We desperately need to get him out of there. Our AG is running on the Democratic ticket, and with all of the antcis Pawlenty (incumbent) has pulled I hope we kick his butt right out of the capitol.

I have a good feeling about today!

I have a good feeling about today!

I'm sure our governor (Brad Henry-D) will easily be re-elected, and I am hoping Lt.Governor goes to Jari Askins (D) though I was very tempted to check off for E.Z.Million (Like I have said before, that is the greatest candidate name to ever run for office ANYWHERE!!!)

The rest of the state's results seem somewhat predictable, though Lt.Governor will be close (I didnt care for Todd Hiett's 'negative' ads-He seem to slam Jari Askins in each one, which turned me off bigtime...I will give him credit, His ad with "E.T." residing in Oklahoma and receiving 'public assistance' was kinda humorous in a way-But that was the wrong kinda "illegal ALIEN" if ya want the truth.)

I voted for the Demos for Governor, Lt.Governor, State treasurer, Superintendent of Public Instruction & Insurance commissioner

I voted for Repubs for State Auditor, Attorney General, Commisoner of Labor & Corporation Commissioner

Now to sit back and see if the winners coincide with my votes.
