I would be hard pressed to believe anyone else is experiencing "Political Ad Hell" like we are in Tennessee!
Our guys are off the chain and way past obnoxious... literally every. other. ad. on tv are bashfests.
No wonder there's so much hate in the world... we can't even get along in our own space.
I can pretty much tell the political views on this board.... but I'm not even talking about which side your on.
Personally, I find both sides of the aisle to be filled with knuckleheads!:distress:
Dear God... please let Tuesday come and go ASAP.... :wavey:

it, but I live in what is (sickly) called the "Buckle of the Bible Belt", aka Oklahoma.
The more annoying these ads have become, the less and less likely-hood I will even be voting Nov.7th (The older I get, the more I believe my vote doesnt mean a MF-ing thing in the large scheme of things)
Come Wednesday morning we'll hear even more BS as the winners prance around like strutting peacocks with their chests stuck out like a chin belonging to Jay Leno & how they will change the US for the better (They wont).
The losers will (Once again) whine/cry that they were cheated (ie-The ballots werent correctly filled out by voters) and contest their loss (Even if they lost by 50,000,000 votes - The 11th Commandment of the Bible should have been "Thou shalt not cry or whine like a spoilt bitch when ye suffer a defeat")
God I hate November (Voting BS has worsen this month - Please, Don't get me started on Thanksgiving!)

there's no ads period on the local channels other than those political ads.
Sick of hearing about "Freedom", "Faith" & "Family"...I have a word for 'em here in Oklahoma that has the letter "F" in it, wanna guess which one?

If elected, my opponent will:
Raise taxes, abort your unborn children, and give the tax money to terrorists, who will then use that money to strap bombs onto aborted fetuses and throw them at American soldiers.
A vote for SortaSavageLike is a vote for FREEDOM!

I watch hardly any television, so I haven't really noticed how bad the ads are, but we keep getting political PHONE CALLS. Night and day the bastards keep calling and half the time it's just a recording. Last night we got one from Clint Eastwood urging us to vote for his good friend whoeverthe****itwas. Like I give a flying crap who Clint wants us to vote for!
Not that it matters anyway, 90% of the calls have come too late, my family votes absentee and our ballots were cast awhile ago.

I get 4 or 5 messages on my answering machine every day now too. Most all of them are annoying Republicans. The funniest was a recording from Pat Boone! Pat Boone

Ugh. Political ads are bad here too - and in New Mexico. I hate them - but at the same time they're cracking me up. I enjoy how the opposing side always manages to find the ugliest most unflattering picture of their opponent
I don't have a home phone and I'm thanking my lucky stars for that right about now. Just a couple more days and the ads stop...I can't wait!

I'm sick of the calling me on the god damn phone. That's what they do here. Although we don't have any really hot races like that Harold Ford race you have going down there so maybe that's whey there are less television commercials this season.

there's one here in Oklahoma I continually enjoy laughing at, The race for state treasurer.
The Republican candidate has an attack ad on the current Democratic treasurer where the basic math subtraction is incorrect:
$310 million
- $81 million
--------------
$228 million
Uh last time I looked 310-81=229 correct? Gee, do I want to elect an official who cannot do basic mathematics?
Wished E.Z.Million would have some ads for his run for office, with that name he could have some hilarious ads that poke fun at both the left & right.

I got a poll call at work the other day..which I thought was odd since I work at a NEWS radio station...and we're supposed to be disqualified from them...eh I took it anyway and answered the questions for myself :p
Tuesday...just one more day and it'll be Tuesday...other than me having to work all night I'm really hoping it gets here fast because I can't WAIT for the day to just end...
That said I'm STILL totally nervous about it

Just saw the dumbest TV political ad I have seen in many a year:
"When Democrat candidate for Lt.Governor Jari Askins was asked her opinion on gay marriage she replied she was 'tolerant'...
Jari Askin's, too liberal for Oklahoma"
WTF??? How is tolerant considered 'too liberal'???

no surprise, betcha I know what party this candidate is a member of.
Speaking of candidates for Congress, how come the national Democrats arent supporting the Oklahoma candidates who are running against the Republicans (Going as far as to not even lending a helping hand for the only Oklahoma Democratic Congressman, Dan Boren of my hometown of Muskogee).
According to the Daily Oklahoman's Washington Bureau writer, the Democrats arent being supportive because Oklahoma doesnt have a US Senate seat up for election this year, and the Democratics challengers "have struggled to raise money to get their messages out to voters".
According to the same article Dr.David Hunter (Democrat-Running for the 5th District against Lt.Governor Mary Fallin) has only one fifth the amount that Fallin has spent (Fallin has spent $1.6 million), and that amount is from his own pockets.
