Plus..I see him out in public...it was obvious to me. He was at a few events with gay friends here and in NY.

Isn't Jodie pretty much out? I thought I read a bio that talked about her living with a partner in Paris.
As for Tom, I don't want him on my softball team, thank you.

I'd like to have seen some of the near cartoonishly macho cowboy-hat stapled to head new country music guys come out in the wake of Brokeback Mountain, or at least Garth Brooks...
"Yeeah doogies" as Jed Clampett used to say.

First Lance Bass and now this guy??Don't forget T.R. Knight from 'Grey's Anatomy' and Darren Hayes from Savage Garden. They both came out this year, too.
None of these admissions are really "surprises," but I think it's commendable that more and more gay celebrities are officially coming out of the closet instead of just coyly dodging the rumours.

Darren Hayes came out this year? I hadn't heard that. Still I wonder why he waited so long. It's been obvious from the get-go. I thought Lance Bass was pretty obvious, too.
I suppose they decided to wait until their fame had pretty much already run its course so that it wouldn't have any negative affect on their careers. T.R. Knight, on the other hand, had pretty much already been outed over the whole on-set fight scandal between Washington and Dempsey so there really wasn't anything to lose.

He plays that character really well too. At first I thought, oh yeah right, that gay guy is a womanizer? But he got me! Yes, he set off my gaydar, no huge surprise. The surprise is that he came out. A delightful surprise that I applaud.
Jodie came out? I have never heard anything about her personal life, she is very private, and I am amazed that she is able to maintain that privacy! But yeah, gaydar gaydar. What was that old western movie she was in? No sparks at all. And the close encounters style one? None. Clearly not attracted to men! Although there was something odd with Lechter. :shudder:

Doogie never pinged my radar, but I tend to not read much on the sexual orientation of children or men who resemble them.
