About a month ago, I bought these cute pink pants from a funky store right off campus. I wore them once- a button popped off and the zipper part ripped a little. No biggie- what can you expect for $11? Well. I wore them today (after sewing the button and the other part) and this morning in class one of my girlfriends was like, "OMG, Janet! Your ass is showing!". Apparently there was a huge rip (that really came out of nowhere) and there is no telling how long I walked around that way because I honestly could not feel it. Fortunately I wore a little zip-up sweatshirt today AND it was warm out, so I could tie the jacket around my waist. What gets me is that the pants are not too small- they just...ripped.

I do have a picture, but I'm not brave enough to post it here. It is HILARIOUS. :lol:

Be thankful you were able to cover it, unlike having to sit through a date knowing there was a fairly big rip across the ass of your jeans. :nod:

ha ha. oh dear. that's funny. I ripped the ass of a pair of jeans once at a bowling alley. didn't bother me much.

When is was a teen...I went camping with my BF and his friends...we went to joshua tree in california which is basically mountains of rocks that you climb on and down into where you can find caves, etc. It's about a 5 mile hike from the campgrounds to the actual mountain formations so one tends to limit the the items they bring...such as extra clothing. Anyway, long story short...while squeezing my way through a crevice, a rock tore the back of my jeans and for the rest of our day-to-dusk trip I had tiger-print panties exposed for all the boys. Good times. :o

Pretty funny!! Never saw pants rip in a place like that... I'm thinking seam, you know... but that's not a seam. Those were some cheap a*s (hehe) rotten pants, man! Throw them things away, unless you want to dye them yellow and go as Prince for Halloween. Remember that awards show way back when... he wore a yellow pants and jacket outfit with cut outs all over and the a*s was completely out. Also, there was also an old 80s spoof movie about a guy who goes into the designer jeans business, only his jeans are a*sless. I'll never forget the scene where it showed all these people walking down the sidewalk in New York wearing his a*sless jeans.

Oh man! That happened to me once but it was horizontal and lower plus I was with my BF so it wasn't a biggie. I stepped up into his truck and "riiiiiiiiiiiip". :o Jannie, that's too much! :lol:

Heh, you guys are funny. But seriously, I'm glad it made you all laugh. Truthfully, I wasn't all that embarrassed because at the time, I had no idea how big the rip was. I couldn't see it when I tried to look in the mirrow. But man, when my husband (yes, Black Widow, JEFF!) took that picture, I just died laughing. And of course, a big thank you to those who said I have a nice ass *sigh*. :xoxo:

It's a weird place for a rip. Do you think that for $11 you only get fabric that is pressed (like paper) instead of woven?

It *is* a weird place for a rip. When my friend told me about it, I immediately was feeling for the seam. Anyway, cheap, cheap, cheap- Lesson learned.:rolleyes:
