now i really thought this would be one couple that would last ala newman & woodward:distress: :distress: :distress:



this in: after several years of marriage, Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe have decided to separate, a rep for the actors announced on Monday.
The timing of the announcement is very interesting!!

Most of the celebrity weeklies in the U.S. close the magazines on Monday [ today ] -- which is the same day they make their "comment calls."

We suspect the couples' rep announced the split as a preemptive strike against what will come out in the mags later this week.

Lets just say ... we had been hearing very loud chatter about Ryan's behavior in Texas, where he's been shooting a new film.

And, another one bites the dust!

Why am I still occasionally surprised when celebrities split? :shrug: Not often, but this time I am.

Yes, and they tried to save the marriage by having another baby. Normally I don't care about these breakups, but I like both of them a great deal and kind of sad about this one.

ok, ok. I'll fess up. I am the cause of this breakup. I tried to get Ryan to return to his family. but he just kept saying he was assmatized (similar to dickmatized). I do feel just turrible.

at least now we can start living our life together in the sunlight and not in the back alleys of West Hollywood.

Seems weird things happen to couples around the 7th year of marriage. Certainly hope they can patch things up. They are a cute couple or were:distress:

It IS sad. I liked them together because they had a family and got thru their whole 20's together...

Oh well...neither one will have trouble finding a date.
