I was wondering about her yesterday. Hope everything's okay.....I mean I dont want to givew the impression that the flames were right at her doorstep, but it looked like they might be 15 miles or less away. Also I heard that this fire was a confirmed arson!:mad:

I know it's been a week but I re-injured that sciatic nerve and this is the first I've been able to sit on my boney ass to get on the puter...gawd you wouldn't believe the pain! May you never hurt your sciatic nerve!!!

David....I have a home in yucaipa at the base of san jacinto mountains...but I live full-time in Laguna. I haven't been too worried about the cabin as the fire is far enough away but it has been scary and the lives of those firemen lost (4) has devestated the surrounding communities. I am well enough to head out there tomorrow morning but have been told by neighbors that everything is A-OK.

I re-injured that damn nerve through a combination of lifting Beau in and out of the truck (he is too small to do it on his own - or too spoiled!) or while I was helping my sister move her treadmill out onto her driveway for a yard sale. Either way...it has been a bitch. I will be on-line here and there as I work through the pain with these killer drugs. ;)

medical bill which arrived today: $7323 (Which is a small amount-Deb & myself estimated her medical bills from her cancer bout in late 2003 to the subsequent checkups/followups now at $600,000+, thankfully insurance has paid about 80% of that amount.)

I am supposed to have another MRI performed on my brain this month, But I dont see that happening (Which will be another $7,000+ shot-to-hell) so I will try to control the daily headaches the same way I have before (Aspirin & sleep).

As for shoulder injury, I fractured my left shoulder while on-the-job back in 1989 (It never healed correctly).
