View Full Version : Do You Think Stevie Will Tour Again Solo?

I personally haven't seen Stevie in concert solo, and really hope that she will. IN this thread I think it would be cool if we hypothesized her touring future.

Screw 50. I like whole dollars, not change.
Stevie isn't going to tour again without FM or some special guest. It would be a carbon copy of the TISL/GD tours if she went out alone.
Much Love,
Schmike
PS, thanks for not turning this into a poll. :wavey:

I definitely believe Stevie will be out again on tour SOLO. I remember reading an interview that stated Stevie is married to the tour, married to her fans and that life. She loves being out there. Stevie once said, "This is what I do. What else would I do?" I don't think Stevie Nicks is ready to sit home and do nothing but write her memoirs and do needle point. I don't know that she'll tour extensively, since she has pretty much done short solo tours. But I really think you'll get a chance to hear her LIVE. You might have to travel to see her, but if you are a big Stevie fan, you'll be up for it.

She will tour again.
She LOVES her lifestyle, she's said it herself, and her lifestyle requires a cash injection every few years. Even with ALL of the money she has, and all of the money that Landslide has brought in the last 9 years, one must have cash coming in to buy a villa in italy, send a niece to college, furs, jewelry, hotel suites... Her Dad (and mick) taught her well - keep working.

Ethan,
I think she will tour "solo" meaning without FM, but I do think it might be part of a duo thing like she is doing with Tom now and with Don this past summer. If she goes it completely alone, I agree with what others have said that it would probably be on a smaller scale than in the past. You will most likely get a chance to see her live though.

I hypothesize that somewhere between the crucible of Intelligent Design and Evolution, lies the pregnant possibility of multiple futures such that the entire concept of fate is nothing more than a cosmic game of "pin the tail on the donkey"...

*whew!*
ennui is one of my favorite words ever, and for someone to have used it so aproposly, well, it was just heaven. apropos is another of my favorite words, BTW.
But it's okay, Stevie has ennui. See "dreams unwind, love's a state of mind" for evidence of her ennui.

Ennui has become ubiquitous of late. Mine could only be subsumed by the sublime osmosis of a monotreme into our midst. A flippered monotreme. An abstruse vision, but one I covet. If not by osmosis, then by fenicular.
Lots of my favorite words !:blob2:
Another fab Ennui Stevie moment is "She's home now, and she says 'I've gone far beyond that song.'" Most of all in the rare version of the song. Swimming in ennui. Wallowing in weariness.

She will... I think she'll keep herself busy up until the next FM tour... Whether that's on her own, or one-offs here and there, or maybe again with Don next Summer if the Eagles aren't touring again... I think if she stops too long, she'll find it harder to get back out on the road.

I think if she does do a farewell...it'll be a 5-10 year ordeal like Cher.
Speaking of farewells...did you hear about Bob Barker retiring from Price is Right? Effective 07/07/07

I think it's really hard to tell with her. I'm going to just say no because the Mac is touring in '08 and Mama Nicks will be 60 then. I mean, sure she's Stevie Nicks, but there's a certain point where it's just been enough. But, then again, who am I to say she'll be too old? Maybe she'll never stop.
Let's hope. :xoxo:

unless she does a few shows in really small places (like at Largo in LA),
i can't think of anything less interesting.
if there are still people out there who get excited when she rolls out yet another tired version of Rhiannon, then i hope she does. but for me, i'm content with another FM tour and more Lindsey solo projects.
i would love to see Lindsey tour with just John and Mick. that would be fun.

Not only that, but she's got to get Jessica James Nicks through college. Both of her parents work for Stevie, so Mama's gotta keep the revenue stream a-flowin'. She's also gotta pay/support Karen, Sharona, the limo driver, the real estate taxes, the bodyguard, etc. And let's face it... Brett Tuggle would be in the bread line without those relentlessly touring Macsters.
I'm sure she is still getting sh*tloads of royalties from "Rumours," but Mama also has many mouths to feed as well as a certain lifestyle to maintain.

It would be horrifically dissappointing to me if she didn't put out some songs about the loss of her beloved father. I mean, she wrote one about growing up and leaving home... Beautiful Child... right? This worries me... why would she want to seal that part of herself off from her fans and not produce a few beautiful songs behind it. She could put them with some more of the old ones we've been waiting to hear. (TISL II, whateve) She could do a short Bella Donna type tour behind it. We'd fly in from everywhere just to see her in New Jersey or something. Right?
Actually, I'm already dissappointed because I thought she'd have been writing her brains out behind the loss of her father. And if she has been and she just doesn't want to share them and all.. well, then she's not the person I thought she was. 'Cmon Stevie... don't let us down now! That would leave me to also believe she's at home eating Gino's Pizza Rolls and watching AMC. Maybe she's back on Prozac. :( (love ya Stevie)
