hi everyone, i went to the a/c show last night and it really was amazing. he did basically this lineup with a few changes. He took requests and ended up with Down on Rodeo and finally Bleed To Love Her. I think that's because I was screaming for BTLH throughout the concert! I think he got tired of listening to me. I'm not sure he did Murrow but I could be wrong. He was really at ease and was having some fun with the audience. A few people were yelling out for him to play some really old songs and he said "Wow - you people really know your stuff". He laughed a couple of times too.

On a side note, this concert was the first time out for me in awhile. I had two kids (and a miscarriage) over the last four years with some issues throughout the last pregnancy with my daughter. I missed the both recent FM tours also. I really wanted to go to this concert. My husband and I thought it was best for him to stay with the kids with this being my first night away from them since birth. So, I had to go alone. I thought it would feel really weird but the two couples I sat next to made me feel welcome. I just wanted to say thanks to them if they post on the Ledge.

Hi, DJM -

I"m glad you had a good time and I'm glad we got better seats!!!! I think my hubby was glad he didn't have to sit next to me and hear me screaming the whole night, LOL! What luck that nobody came to sit in those other seats!

What a great, great show! And it was so nice to meet you!

If it did include Murrow then that would be more or less the show I'd want to see, though I'd put To Try For The Sun and maybe I Am Waiting as well.

Glad you'd a good time, sounds like all these shows are fantastic! You are all so lucky getting to see them!

Thanks for posting your review DJM. Glad to hear you had a good time. Yeah, this was the show I would have gone to if I could have. I was even in town Saturday. I went to see John Edwards & Sylvia Brown @ the AC Convention Ctr. I even saw the Bogata from there & took a picture of it. I had already made these plans though before Lindsey made his concert tour announcement, & I couldn't stay another night. Oh how weird. As I'm typing this, they are playing Stand Back on the radio. I really can't believe that he's not playing anything from OOTC. Someone should request a song from that CD & see if he actually plays it.

People have but no go. I think someone should bring a big poster with the album cover and wave it around for the man to see.

People were screaming out songs like Souldrifter and Don't Look Down..but he is only playing certain songs. In Falls Church no one yelled out BTLH but LB said "did I hear someone say BTLH??".... ;) I love DoR and BTLH and was thrilled to hear them but its not like he is really taking requests. He seems to be playing things that the guys have rehearsed already. He made a comment at one of the shows that he is hearing people yell out stuff that they " could not really play". I wish someone would yell out SGCYM because I bet he would play that one...they know it from SS and I bet they rehearsed it for this tour.

People were screaming out songs like Souldrifter and Don't Look Down.. Curious...what with all the shout-outs...is it really distracting? I heard that people are actually yelling thoughout songs as they are being played...is that true?

I guessed it, although I do think the first BTLH he did on this tour was a tad shaky without the backing. However, the whole "spontaneous requests" thing is a nice illusion to give to everyone. ;)

So now that he's not going to be playing anything from his three previous solo albums, other than the two obligatory hits, I guess the only songs we can get him to play are songs from SYW and UTS. Miranda, Shut Us Down, Flying Down Juniper and SGCYM are still probably game so let's start yelling for those! Even I will participate in the yelling all the way from Finland. ;)

I thought it was a bit much with all the yelling (like, some didn't know when to stop). And you got some smartasses who had to have the "last word". But, on the other hand - what a compliment to him! The crowd was clearly into the show, which is always a good thing. AND knew his work. Gotta keep perspective I guess.

The guitar thing during GYOW was downright crazy! People came out of nowhere and were really pushing toward the stage, lol. Like, REALLY pushing. He came by me to play his guitar and I was like, no, it's ok -- I just didnt want to be so pushy like everyone else. Plus, others were just too eager, and I started getting crushed into the stage. He just smiled, kept going, and tried his best to watch everyone's groping hands!

Somebody threw him flowers at the end and (accidently?!) hit him in the you-know-whats! LOL! He was a good sport about it.

No Murrow, though, in the set. I would have liked to hear that one! Or Lola or something easy to play from the old days.

One thing tho -- he is so FREAKIN SKINNY. I mean seriously. I'm thinking of starting a Feed Lindsey campaign, LOL! Skinny or not, the guy still has it goin on!

What a great show! Can't wait for the next one - and he shouted "we'll be back" more than once too!

I can't stand when people yell out during songs and act like total jacka$$es. Hopefully, if that happens at my shows...I'll have the cojones to yell "Shut the frick up!"

I think I'll make that Lindsey Rules sign and put Shut the Frick Up! on the back towards the audience.

Yea, I thought the shout outs were utterly annoying. It was ok if it was done in between songs and kept to a minimum but it got nuts at some shows. One guy yelled out RHIANNON and LB cracked up and said "I will take what I can get". He was a good sport. He was very cute when someone screamed out Buckingham NICKS. He smiled and asked if we wanted that on cd...everyone hooted and hollered and he said "We are working on it".

The whole request thing is cute but contrived. He is not playing just any ole tune he hears. lol The band rehearsed DoR but he did play that one alone. BTLH was a bit shaky all the times I saw it...esp in CT. He changed the melody at one point because the timing was all off. I still loved it. He sang it with alot of passion, eyes closed etc and it was incredible.

some of them were annoying but i think for the most part, people were respectful and restrained themselves from yelling out during songs. i only noticed people yelling during those times in between songs when he was silent. the guy who yelled out frozen love made him smile like a cheshire cat [though it isn't feasible for him to do that song, obviously]. i really think it still surprises him that people are so in love with that album.

i know you didn't care for it but i absolutely thought it was hysterical and adorably cute when the guys were attempting to find the right pitch for save me a place [i think it was more for the benefit of brett and neale that he was doing that].

The guy standing next to me at the Foxwoods show was downright embarassing. He kept screaming things like 'you are a guitar god, Lindsey' and 'there's nobody better than you'. And he was in the front row also, so Lindsey must have heard him. I think it says enough that he ignored that person.

Though, it was majorly hot when he whispered 'I love you too' into his microphone at one of the shows in response to someone yelling 'we love you, Lindsey!'. I think that was in Boston.

No, I thought that was adorable. However, he did the same schtick in Falls Church with Neil saying he was playing the "thick string" etc. Its all for show...but very sweet.

Yeah, I have to agree with this one. Of course, I haven't seen him in the flesh, but from the pics I've seen, he is way too skinny. Lindsey, jeez, please eat already.

"What a great show! Can't wait for the next one - and he shouted "we'll be back" more than once too!"

Hmmm.... I wonder what he means by this "we'll be back". Does he mean he & Fleetwood Mac will be back or does he means his solo tour will go around again & then maybe I'll be able to catch him then. :blob2: Well, either way, I'll get to see him.

I see he's alternating SMAP in and out of a few shows.

I'm glad you finally got a night out!

I'm thrilled Lindsey did Down on Rodeo. I thought it was so great in Boston. I don't think requests were that bad. Once he said he would do a few at the end, people stopped shouting. Then at the end, everyone went nuts.

May I say: the REASON it was so incredible IS the fact that it's shaky. The passion MAKES it shaky. I LOVE it that this perfectionist is letting the perfectiondrive go on stage.

I was there too, in AC. What an amazing night!

The show did start, then stop, then start. He came out and was totally on, but I don't think he was as much into interaction as he seems to be in the other shows...he was more into the music-which is just fine!!!

The guy next to me kept screaming " Sould Drifter" and other things...that was a bit annoying.

At one point, Lindsey smiled and said " you guys really know your stuff" because of all the solo songs people were screaming out ( it was really half empty and extremely intimate...everyone was in the front by the end)

I was just so happy to be there, but now of course I want a cd of this show...

:)
