I can't play them at work, because they try to load their own player software and I don't have Administrator privileges.

I can't play them at home, because I use my DVD players as my audio source and the discs skip and jump like bastards.

I object to the fact that in order to listen to something I have shelled out good money for I have to make a copy of it.

Which leads me to another point about EMI "Copy Control"...

funny about EMI, they were a military contractor besides a record label:

"[with whom the Beatles had a recording contract], Electrical and Musical Industries (EMI) was a weapons contractor to the British War Office.

.According to [Beatles biographer] Philip Norman, the Prime Minister of Britain, Harold Wilson, had called Sir Joseph Lockwood at least once [in 1965]...RCA also owned a major part of EMI...RCA was led for 50 years by David Sarnoff"

Interesting to know dont ya think?

That's the stupid thing.

You can easily burn the CDs - either with or without the "Copy Control" included in the copy.

The so-called "Copy Control" doesn't stop me copying the discs, it only makes it hard for me to play them!
