Just heard the Fight that lindsey has pushing out the vocal-drive of I Know I'm Not Wrong on the Nashville-boot, In the end -just after highly strained AhAhAhA's he can finally shut up and unleashes in what is the best flowing, shaved off, f*ckingfabulous solo I have ever heard in my life.
]
My friggin' goodness.

aaah, just played it again. This is the ultimate crown on the Buckingham search for the perfect solo. I thought it was in one of the I'm so afraid-solo's, but here it is people. Lindsey found perfection, what an incredible piece of musicality. So pretty, happy, sad, regretful, hurt, and love in tone, melody, tempo and feel. I can't believe my ears.

I can't believe nobody relates to my excitement. Have you heard Nashville's ISA? Looks like His personal Ode to Peter Green for G's sake!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and - yes, you are correct!!!!

It is interesting always to hear him without FM. Most of the songs are just different enough to see them in a newer light.

That's why I am not ranting about some greatest hits setlist-Ithink it's not. And WT, IKINW, and ISA get special treatment here. He's PLAYING with them. MUCH MUCH more than in FM.

And that awesome SMAP? SPONTANE!!!!!!!!!! AT LAST!

I would have changed some of the songs, but everyone says that, etc.

World Turning

I LOVE the electronic play with Lindsey's vocal in the end. So playful.

I love this version of BTLH. It's an absolute classic song, and works really well stripped down to just guitar and voice. I like the melody changes he's done here and there. Absolutly great. That whole show is great, and the bootleg is really very clear. It's fantastic.

Well...to go back on topic:

I know I'm not wrong is a folkrocksong again due to this version. The Macversions were so full orchestrated. The tempo of this version is perfect, and the fact that Taku just marches on in the solo gives it a swing that flows so natural you can't sit still. Then the solo glows in. We know his pointy short solo's, always a bit staccato. This one isn't. We know the basic chordprogressions, but now they bow into eachother. His TONE and expression in this tour is amazing, especially on the Model 1. Has all the acoustic playing had a booming influence on the feel on the Turner?
This IKINW-solo is a song in itself. He sings on the strings here. And all those mixed emotions in his tone. I can listen to this all day.

Since I normally have to fill up my own threads these days to talk about the MUSIC, I'm afraid that the reason to be here on the Ledge is disappearing. Why should I bother discuss the music, if everybody's more interested in discussing the music Lindsey's NOT playing? WTF are you all doing? ARE WE INTERESTED IN WHAT HE DOES?

Well I guess just few people do. I'm starting to get fed up again with this place. A lack of soulmates, I guess.

You're pathetic dude.....and right

btw: don't you think bleed to love her sounds sadder than ever, lindsey#1fan?
I never expected this song to just glow in a single guitar and vocal setting. That guitarpiece just does it on its own. So sad and beautiful.

It does sound kind of sad, I'm listening to it again , but the guitar playing is simply phenomonal !!!!

That song just makes me want to run up to him and give him a big hug - :xoxo: (amongst other things that I can't mention)

Listening to the Nashville show, I can't really say that the IKINW solo is my favorite. I enjoyed it while I was there, and I enjoyed listening to it.. but - and this is just my opinion and I'm not trying to take the pleasure you get out of it away from you at all by any means - it's not anywhere close to my "favorite" guitar solo.

a lot of lindsey's solos have the same pieces, just tied together in different order. this one isn't really an exception. it's good, but it doesn't rock my world as far as solos go.

You're right with the same pieces, this one IS not different in the pieces, it's different in the fact that they are not TIED together, but they are STREAMED together. Like I said, He SINGS on the Turner here and the tones have more bittersweetness then I'm used too. So it doesn't ROCK my world either, it tickles my soul.

i'm not talking about his solo music. i'm talking about the individual solos.. on a case-by-case, performance-by-performance basis.

i can assure you.. if his music didn't rock my world, i wouldn't be here.

ISA- wow.. i love this trippy vibe!!! it gives me some thrills :D i even think it's my favorite version ever. Yes, very Peter Green - Albatross! I could live without the solo nowadays but anyway. Beautiful, thanks for posting this.

IKINW- I like this better than in SYW tour. Mick drums were a bit too much for my taste. This is more like the Tusk
recording. I wouldn't put it in my favourite solos list neither, but the articulation and rythmic feel remind me of the solo in Hold me, one of my favourites.

BTLH- His voice seems to suffer a bit, but I would have loved to be there anyway :D

Guys you are really lucky, this tour looks like something special, an "I was there" thing to be remembered in the future. You must enjoy this to the max!

Ok, thanks to MacMan, I downloaded the Nashville show and listened to it all day today while driving. Incredible!

There were two songs I seemed to play over and over: IKINW and Trouble.

The solo on IKINW is awesome. It is beautiful/emotional---I loved the song when I saw it in Nashville, but listening again and again, I'm really able to appreciate and realize how awesome it is! I definitely prefer this version to the SYW version. This one is raw. The SYW one sounded "canned" to me, jmo.

Trouble just makes me feel good. His playing is superb, as well as his vocals. It's just soothing. I haven't watched the Soundstage performance in a long time, so I'm not attempting to compare it to that...it's probably similar, can't remember.:sorry: Anyway, I found myself playing that one over and over again and listening with a silly grin on my face!

Actually, ISA is a total brainwasher. It is such a big step to make his selfdeclared "stage-pitbull" for 30+ years fit in a folkoriented setting. And it works incredibly well. Ofcourse there are no real dramatic changes in the build-up of tension, but he really made it a stripped down version where angst is replaced by a first insecure form of acceptance. Dark, very dark, but without the aggressive fight against it. It's almost his personal ode to Peter Green imo.

So all these files were from the Nashville show? The yousendit files expired. Do you have the whole show?
