Sorry, I'm a thread starter today.

I'm thinking about seeing Dolly at Mohegan Sun Casino in November. I would visit my friend in Boston and take a bus there.

Anyone been there? What is the venue like? Do you have to sit at tables with freaky casino people? I'd probably have to stay overnight, what are accomodations like? Is it in a pretty area?

I've never been inside the arena, but I think it's just set up like any performance venue. The casino itself is very nice! And the area is nice as well, although you may miss the peak of the foliage.

I've seen her 3 times in the last 4 years. Would love to see her again this year and she's only doing a few casino shows. If I see her, then I will have seen 5/5 of my favorite female singers this year. Stevie, Lucinda, Maria McKee, Cyndi, Dolly.

Oh, okay, I'm going. :)

I was supposed to go to Boston and Maine this week and see the leaves, but had to postpone. I've never had the thrill of a New England fall. :(

I saw her in November of 2005. It was great! She made about 8,000 people think we were all just hanging out at her place, listening to great stories and even better songs. If you get the chance, try and make it to one of her shows.

Nothing really thrilling for me. It's more like a sign for me to say, "Oh WTF, its getting cold." For those not from around here, I hear its very pretty!

I'm going...November 16th, Dolly Parton. Anyone care to join?

I'm going to stay at the Comfort Suites in Norwich, the rooms at Mohegan are too expensive!
