So it' sunday here in the UK meaning we get this weeks album chart. Lindsey is no where to be seen in the top 40 (I can only find out where it charted officially tommorow but its not in the top 40) Funnily enough Fleetwood Mac greatest hits has found it self at number 24 this week.

Annoying how a greatest hit's that has been out for years outsells Lindsey album has was only released this week. Is there anymore proof that for chart positions and commercial sucses these days it is all about hype. It's unjust how someone who has contributed more than anyone to fleetwood mac in the last 15 years can't get some form of recognition in the UK.

I think it's just a coincidence that the greatest hits gets to number 24 this week, the same week Lindsey releases UTS. They're was a sale on this CD all week at my local store whereas Lindsey new release was no where to be seen.

It didn't even make the Rock or Indie charts!! Tony Iommi's (Black Sabbath's guitarist) solo album last made no 9. in those and it was even less well promoted than Lindsey's!!

I thought it would at least chart in one of those ones...

He is number 51 on the iTunes top albums this week. I thought that was interesting, since most iTunes people are of the younger variety.

i bought the album (and bob dylan's latest) on itunes.
and i'm not young!

i'm predicting a top 40 chart peak sometime in the next month. and i'm also betting it sells between 300,000 and 400,000 copies.

just a hunch...

I purchase stuff on iTunes, and I'm not very young either. Having said that, I just assumed that many people who purchase things on iTunes are young.

I bought my copy from Amazon.co.uk. I didn't trust any of my local record shops to have it in stock and since I needed to buy a couple of books as well I thought I'd take advantage of their free delivery and buy UTS their.

Neil, Apparently it did drop out of the top 200 on the UK charts after one week.
