Went to see The Tubes last night in a small club outside of Boston. Fantastic show! They still do a big stage production. There were a dozen costume changes, stories, skits, etc.

3 hours of non-stop music.

Lots of early stuff and not too much from the wimpy Top 40 days. A few bizarre covers - "Bali Ha'i," from the musical South Pacific, Tom Jones's "It's Not Unusual," an impromptu "Jumpin' Jack Flash" by Roger Steen during one of Fee's costume changes, and a killer version of Gene Pitney's "Town Without Pity" (while slow-dancing with an inflatable sex doll).

And after 35 years together on the road, these guys have got their chops down cold. Very tight musically.

If they come to your town - Go see them!
