It's a really beautiful silk (?) jacket. His attire was usually so much more austere on the Tusk tour that I was surpirsed to see him wearing that.

I don't think these are from the Tusk tour. I think this is from that little 1978 tour they did -- where Stevie trotted out SOTM for the first time.

I usually am, too, but this is just tooo sweet, and there really aren't many pics of Stevie smiling or with her hair up or smiling with her hair up. It would be a hard choice, but there are more excessive pics of Stevie out there, I think.
But the sweet one is only 2.5"x2.5". :(

Nope. You're right. In looking at the description of the photo, it says 1978. I thought it was Tusk because of his hair.

I have to say that for the money that some of these go for, I can live with the watermark :shrug:

I mean maybe not in this instance, but certainly many of these people are making money off of someone else's work that they either dewatermarked or that they lifted from the web.

From the proportions of that photograph I 'd hazard a guess and say that's not a poloroid. It's a black and white print from a negative.

It's just that with this message: This is an ORIGINAL VINTAGE SILVER GELATIN print on HEAVY FIBER PAPER!! This is a very rare and beautiful photo!! it's a little bit strange that a press agency has it also. Not to mention that it's going for almost 100 bucks now.

Ah well, I can easily photoshop it now.

I know. It kills me thinking how long he must have had feelings for her. Especially in the Rolling Stone interview for the Dance, where he actually thought there was a chance they might get back together. Now he's married with three kids.

There is something hot about the way he is leaning up against her back....I know the chair is there...but still. :p Combine that with the way he is looking at her! I agree about there being a tinge of sadness...he seems very protective in the way he is rubbing or holding her shoulders/upper arms.
I like looking at both photos together because he has that goofy little boy smile in the one and the hot, protective manly look in the other. :lol:

Yep, and didn't belong to Judy Wong at all. I bought the whole set from the Belgian photographer called Bouduain Struye in '79 or '80 who took the pictures. Well, my Mom bought them for me because I didn't have any money and she died in 1980. I sold them in 2004 and posted them on my website I think in 2003.

I don't know why they call this the "wong" collection. It has some pretty good stuff in it. :lol: Judy Wong died a few years ago, & someone who had access to her private photos has been selling off many of them on eBay for the past year.

It's weird because we've been staring at Polaroids in the tourbooks for many years, with the credits saying "Judy Wong," & now we're seeing a lot of the original Polaroids up for sale!

These rock SO hard...but I wonder if some aren't fake. Being as some look so legit, I find that hard to belive, but I wonder if they aren't just poloroids of this person's collection. Because you can NOT hand tint a pol. I'm pretty sure they didn't even have b&w pol film, and even if they did, they wouldn't have had this aged look to them. No, I think they are pics of aged and/or hand tinted pics. This seller has a great feed back rating, and there is nothing to gain by faking the pics, but still I wonder. :sorry: (<seller if you lurk boards...)
Even still, I'd die to have just about any of them. Well, cept the one where SN has her hand to her mouth. I swear that's not even her. But one is so vivd in color, and I'd say it's late 80's early 90's, and it's hardly aged a day. That one has been perserved real well. The one that has SN and you can see the camera in it as well, that's just like out of the Enchanted booklet. Weird. And really, damnit it all to hell...MORE sessions of SN that you have to wonder where the hell all the rest of the pics are?!?!!??! I'm just jealous that's all. Someone has em' and I don't! :lol:

Those polaroids are gorgeous, but some of those are very obviously from the RAL era and not early 90's as the description mentions.

Anita, you have a good point. These two are the same picture, just different "crops", and definitely tinted. It looks like a pick was taken of the original at two different angles to give it the look of two different photos. I'm not accusing the seller of doing that, I'm sure that's how they got them from Judy Wong or whomever. Very cool though.

Everyone has vaild points and something doesn't seem right with some of these pics. After looking at them again today i remembered that one of the pics looked the same as one in the enchanted booklet so i checked and it is the same picture only in negative.

As for some of the Polaroids looking hand tinted like Anita said, maybe after hand tinting a original photo that Stevie or someone would take a Polaroid of it.

^ I think it's odd too. Most of the pics are great (love the one above!) but have we seen any polaroids from the Wong collection yet? I thought they'd all been actual printed photos. Not that they can't exist, but it's just surprising. And I was under the impression that 1 person bought all the Wong goodies - is this not the case?

Oh, and I agree that some are definitely RAL era. For sure.

Stevie's channelling Courtney Love in these pics. Hard to pinpoint them to an era, I want to say RAL- but the big cross wasn't being worn then, was it? I thought the 'proclaiming Jesus' period (according to Bill Gamelson) was around the post-SA/pre 'Dance' period when she was performing at county fairs and such.

I guess you could handtint a Polaroid, if you sent said Polaroid to a lab and they made matte prints out of them. Or, if they made permenant markers back then in a wide range of colors. Gawd, I can't even be in the same room if someone is using one of those. Pheww.

She started to wear the big crosses on the TITN tour actually, and for the OSOTM tour they were even bigger and more prominent. Her hair and the huge shoulders in these big cross pics make me think they're from the BTM era, but they could be from anywhere in the Klonopin-years.
