i watched this show somewhat this season & remember them praying for this baby & wanting a little girl so badly~ this is very sad news~ my brother who lives in L.A. now but used to live in jersey, hung out w/ their eldest son several times & said they are a very close loving family & this just has to be devestating to them~

What was supposed to be a joyous occasion for rapper turned preacher turned reality TV star Joseph Simmons (aka Run of Run DMC) ended up becoming a nightmare for the reverend and his wife, Run's House co-star Justine Simmons.

As fans of the show know, Run's wife became pregnant last season and the MTV cameras were on hand this past week to film the birth of the baby.

Unfortunately, the birth became a burial as the baby girl was born and quickly pronounced dead.

Doctors delivered the baby via c-section, only to reveal the sad occurrence that the girl was born with organs outside the body. The newborn died a short time later.

Our sincere condolences.

There is a little girl in my town, I used to work for her grandmother, but she was born with her organs on the outside. She's now atleast 6 or 7. Then a couple of years ago they found out she had cancer.

I watched Run's House a coupld of times and I remember them saying they were pregnant. This is so sad. How did they not catch it on the ultrasound. I'm sure since they have a good bit of money they were able to get the 3-D ultrasound. I know an amnio is optional but isn't it highly reccommened for women over what 35?
Tragic story.

on the last episode they were at an ultra-sound, not sure if it was 3D one tho, that was the cliff hanger of the show, the DR asked if they wanted to know the sex of the baby~ i feel for them, i can't imagine~

I don't know who rev run is, but that is very sad. I too am shocked that they didn't see this on an ultrasound  But maybe they did (and wanted to keep it private) and were told that surgery could correct it. May I just say that I have a second cousin who was born this way and is now a healthy 20 year old young man.
