Sounds awesome! I saw them recently at the Reading festival and they were AMAZING!
I actually had tickets to see them in Dublin too but at the last minute couldn't go, which really sucked :(

That's a damn pity!
Vedder is in absolute topform, I was totally amazed how powerful he sounded and from minute one to minute last. They opened with Release and even the walls had goosebumps. By the way, this thread gains alot of interest again, don't it!

Yeah, I think we're the only PJ fans here Gerald
They played the Mother Love Bone song Crown Of Thorns and The Who's Baba O'Reily at Reading.
I can't make myself look at the Dublin setlist though, it makes me feel too sick :(

Aaarghhh, sorry dear, but that's the show where they played Crazy Mary and The Boys Are Back In Town.
:sorry:
I would have killed for that. There must be another show where they did Hungerstrike in addition to the aforementioned.

AAhh, did it hurt that much? Don't be mad at me, dear, I tried to get you over the frustration with a little reality. Didn't mean to hurt you. Boys are back in town, how apropriate to play that in Dublin.

I'm just kidding! I'm not mad :)
Yeah, Boys Are Back In Town: very cool of them to play that in Dublin.
Wish the Mac were as spontaneous with their choice of tunes as PJ!

Yeah, but let's face it: what PJ does with setlists is amazingly unique. A friend of mine, a freelance tourmanager-soundman, saw that the setlist was handed to the soundengineer 5 min. before show. When you look at their setlists some new tunes and some old are skeleton, but 16 of the approx 23 songs change constantly and span their entire career. That's how you keep it fun for yourself too.

earlier. I am a PJ fan, but an even bigger Mother Love Bone fan (Busted my ass to find a mint copy of their "Shine" EP on CD). As I have said in the past, if ya listen to MLB's "Bone China" (From their album "Apple") ya can hear that Led Zep vibe.
PJ has played "Crown of Thorns" only a couple of time in the past so that would be cool (Gotta remember that both Jeff & Stone were members of the GREAT MLB, RIP Andrew Wood!!!) and in the recent past they used to close shows with "Baba O'Reilly".
Hell, They sometimes they even toss in the Temple of the Dog classic "Hunger Strike" for ****s & giggles.
