Her wigs are crazy this season, although nothing will ever top the orange 'do she was rocking for awhile. But about the show...I loved the shoot they did. The model stereotypes were funny, and I hope Naomi saw the "throw your cell phone at the assistant" shot. I don't have a favorite girl, but I know the drunk chick, the creepy twins, and Melrose have to go.

I know. the thing that gets me is that Tyra's known them for what...2 days and already labels them. she was like "I feel like you are constantly making excuses" - I was like, you haven't been around her long enough to come to that conclusion...but again it's just the show trying to make someone a bitch, someone a holy roller, etc. and speaking of holy roller, Ginger made me sick. I was glad she didn't make it.

Tyra loves her some Tyra. and good thing she's got pictures from her past cause girlfriend has gained some weight. she wore black, black and more black and they rarely shot her below her neck. even her arms are bigger. I ain't hatin cause she still has major sexy curves. her wigs are a little better, but jeez, they need to tone down the shadow near her hairline...that's SUCH a drag queen trick, but it was overdone last night, especially at the judging.

Amanda is the hotter twin, IMO.

Eugena's eyes are amazing.

Monique's ass would've been kicked by me, but I do think she is really pretty. I don't think they'll cut Anschal's hair, at least not too much. It would be ridiculous. Normally they do it because they have a vision that the person would look better with different hair, but if they think that about her, they are sadly mistaken. Her face goes perfectly with that hair. Her jaw is wide, so short hair will look icky.

yeah, I was like "oh, she's been practicing". I thought she sounded mostly fine the way she talked before - she's southern, she's black, and I thought she sounded charming. :shrug: She still has some accent, though, which I am glad to see. She wasn't the brightest bulb sometimes, though - didn't know what a lot of things meant. But I'm really glad she won, she was very cool. Not like, over the top, "I'm so cool", but just laid back and easy going cool.
I'm happy she mastered the talking thing, b/c it seems like during the show, that was tough for her. They would tell her every week, but at the time she seemed a bit incapable of refining her speech. I don't know if she practiced, (I would hope so since they told her all the time) but I didn't see much "improvement" during the show.

I'm kinda on the fence about the whole accent thing. It's not like she cussed, or employed super undecipherable ebonics or anything. She was just a nice southern black girl with the according accent. :shrug: I know people who sell products want their models to sound kind of uniform - California TV accent - but there's a whooooole other country here besides Cal, and I don't think it is a problem to represent those different accents. Like I said before, I would probably place the line at super undecipherable ebonics, (for you ebonics defenders, that is fine, but sometimes I can't understand people. lol.) or hella cussing, but otherwise I think accents are fine.

I thought Danielle was really gorgeous, too. A little short on different expressions, but very long on looking great and modely in every pic. :nod:

Regarding the makeovers, I've said this every cycle. If I was one of those girls and a hairstylist, who probably charges $100 or even more, to do my hair for free I'd say GO AT IT! If you think my hair would look good purple, green and red do it. You're the expert.

Meg's poof ball bangs were distracting - like bookends or Princess Leia cinnamon rolls. I thought she got one of the worst makeovers, not flattering at all. But you're right, she was funny and cool.

Ah, thank you, I'm glad someone said that. I don't think they will pick a black girl also because Danielle won last time. She is the actual prettiest one. Her eyes don't pop as much as the others', but I don't really see that as a problem, most models look blank anyway. And I like her real life personality, she is calm and poised, and that makes her seem elegant and dignified.
The other two are spazzes. I like Caridee though, and i agree she will win, but if she does that will not be fair, because Melrose did the best in everything. :shrug: How will they justify that? I don't hate Melrose except for when she makes this one face - it's like a smile, but then she tightens her face/mouth, and it makes these ugly muscle things pop from her neck to her jaw, and gives her jabba frog face.

Thank goodness. She had just the kind of crazy emotional acting dorkiness that I love. She's so geniune and expressive and natural.

I really liked Eugenia, what a face. But knew she wouldn't win. But I am kinda bummed that they mistook her natural dignity, calm, and circumspection for having no personality. And did you hear Caridee say Eugenia was really kind hearted? I mean, does everyone have to roll their eyes and foam at the mouth to be thought to have a personality? Ridiculous. I think dignity, calm, and circumspection are admirable traits, and can look good in a model, and especially a spokesperson.

yay for Caridee. I was a little worried there for a second. I wasn't impressed at all by either of them at the runway show. I was like, hmmm, next. but after looking at both of their portfolio's it's clear Caridee deserves to win.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Tyra Banks, who has gained weight since her days strutting the catwalk, says she was upset when unflattering photos showing her in a one-piece bathing suit were mocked on the Internet.

"It was such a strange meanness and rejoicing that people had when thinking that was what my body looked like. It was really hurtful to me," the 33-year-old talk-show host says in an interview in the February 5 issue of People magazine.

The photos show Banks on a beach during a recent trip to Sydney, Australia. They had popped up earlier this month on a celebrity gossip Web site with the not-so-nice headline: "Tyra Banks is Fat."

Banks, who hosts the syndicated "The Tyra Banks Show" and the CW network's "America's Next Top Model," tells the magazine she weighs 161 pounds and has fluctuated from 148 pounds to 162 pounds, depending on how well she's taking care of herself, since retiring from modeling in 2005.

"I don't want to sit in front of you and be soap-boxy and fake and say, 'I love myself, I'm beautiful, it's great,' " says Banks, who is 5 feet 10 inches tall. "I still feel hot, but every day is different. It's when I put on the jeans that used to fit a year ago and don't fit now and give me the muffin top, that's when I say, 'Damn!' "

In other words, yes, she has put on weight, though not nearly as much as recent tabloid stories have suggested.

Banks says "I'm not the healthiest eater" and isn't required to "live up to that model standard anymore."

"I've made millions of dollars with the body I have, so where's the pain in that?" she says. "If I was in pain, I would have dieted. The pain is not there -- the pain is someone printing a picture of me and saying those (horrible) things."
