Here are some "how have the rock stars aged" before and after photos.

Stevie is #123 and 124 - they didn't get the before year right either, it says 1978 instead of 1987.

Some of the other photos are downright scary.

Michael Bolton looks way better now - glad he cut off that ridiculous hair.

Ok - the now photo they dug up of Patti Smith may give me nightmares for weeks.

Queen Latifan looks fabulous. Rick Springfield is still a cutie...

Eddie Van Halen :distress:

Ok - that's all I have time to look at now...

lord, Lil Kim did nothing but eat in jail.

Dolly is always fab...as is Jon Bon Jovi.

Grace Slick actually looks better.

poor Linda Ronstadt.

awww...they picked the most adorable picture of Stevie! :blob1:

but, um, why are Christina and Britney in this set?

Seriously? You coulda picked better photos of Chrissie Hynde, NBC. She looks amazing, though. I saw The Pretenders up front like, 5 times this year, and got to chat with her for a while, and she truly looks fabulous. She looks the same as she did back in '79.

Other thoughts -

- Noooo, Barry Manilow didn't have any work done at all.
- Michael Stipe looks scary.
- Rod Stewart is scary.
- I still love Adam Ant, even though he looks like a Weebl right now.
- The Beastie Boys are still awesome, and they look great.
- Tom Petty & Elvis Costello = adorable.
- Dolly = fabulous.
- Roger Daltry is a fox.
- -____- Bon Jovi -____-

Yeah, the pictures of Chrissie could definitely have been better.
And I think you should add Barry Manilow to the scary list! He's creepy.

Ugh, Gary Glitter's recent pic should be behind bars.

EDDIE VAN HALEN - Howard Stern Interview Highlights Available
Posted on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 22:05:33

As previously reported, VAN HALEN guitarist Eddie Van Halen appeared on The Howard Stern Show on September 8th to promote the upcoming porn movie Sacred Sin, for which he recorded two songs. Rollingstone.com has posted the complete highlights from the interview as follows:

On curing his tongue cancer without chemo or radiation:
Eddie Van Halen: “I cured my cancer in a way that’s not exactly legal in this country. I’d tell you, but I don’t want to go to jail. When you drink your damn draino it just holds it at bay. It comes back. Cancer is like a cockroach. It just comes back stronger. I’m tearing apart the immune system of the cockroach and seeing how it ticks. I’ve opened up my own pathology center. Some of us open tequila bars in Mexico, I’m curing cancer. They cut a healthy piece of my tongue off and grew healthy cells outside of my body and tested them. I’m missing a third of my tongue. They butchered me. I didn’t quit smoking after I got tongue cancer cause smoking didn’t cause it.”

On a possible reunion with David Lee Roth:
HS: “Diamond David Lee Roth never wanted piano in Van Halen.”
EVH: “You mean cubic zirconia?”
HS: “You’re never going to do a reunion with him, are you?”
EVH: “Ummm…You know, I’m open to anything.”
HS: “Really? He makes it seem like you are never open…”
EVH: “In 2000 Alex and I tried to pull something together with him.”
HS: “What happened? You couldn’t stand being around him?”
EVH: “No, the guys’s a loose cannon - but I can deal with loose cannons.”
Robin: “Everyone says you’re the problem.”
EVH: “Yeah, because I don’t respond or talk about this stuff.”

On Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony’s current Sans Halen tour:
EVH: “Michael Sobolewski [Michael Anthony’s real last name] is out touring with ‘the little red rocker’ … I mean the little red worm. I got no problem with these guys, but they’re billing themselves as the other half of Van Halen. My brother is the other half of Van Halen. They’re out there selling hot sauce and tequila and playing all my songs. It doesn’t bother me. It just makes them a cover band.”

On the porno movie he wrote two songs for:
EVH: “I don’t call it porn. I call it sex. It’s like Braveheart with a cum shot. Everyone’s giving me their dweeb opinion about this - but without sex you wouldn’t be here to give me your dweeb opinion.”

On his new girlfriend:
EVH: “I have a girlfriend. Her name’s Janie. She’s a press agent…You’re damn right she’s super hot. We met at a press conference. We’ve been together two months.”

On his fifteen-year-old son Wolfgang joining Van Halen:
EVH: “My son Wolfgang plays drums, guitars and bass. This kid is f**king dangerous. If I excel at the speed of sound, he excels at the speed of light. My brother goes, ‘This is the first time I’ve had bass in my headphones.’ He’s only fifteen years old and he’s getting laid. He’s spanking it too.”
HS: “How do you know that?”
EVH: “When you spend 45 minutes in the bathroom you’re not taking a shower. … Valerie and I have joint custody of Wolfgang. For the last couple of weeks Alex, he and I have been jamming together.”
HS: “You wouldn’t go back on the road with Hagar, would you?”
EVH: “I’m pretty much open to anything. What’s going to happen is that there’s a new member of Van Halen, and that is my son.”
HS: “I’m hearing your son is in and Michael Anthony is out.”
EVH: “My son is in and Sobolewski can do whatever he wants. The name Van Halen, the family legacy, is going to go on long after I’m gone. This kid is just a natural. I’m going to have him play on a solo record, and it’s going to be out - he and I.”

Willie Nelson cited for drug possession Mon Sep 18, 1:06 PM ET

BREAUX BRIDGE, La. - Willie Nelson and several members of his band were issued misdemeanor citations for drug possession early today during a traffic stop in Saint Martin Parish.

The traffic stop was conducted on Interstate 10 near Breaux Bridge.

Trooper Willie Williams says troopers smelled a strong odor of marijuana when the driver opened the bus door.

During a search of the bus, Williams say approximately 1 1/2 pounds of marijuana and approximately 2/10 of a pound of mushrooms were located on the bus. :]

The 73-year-old Nelson of Spicewood, Texas; 59-year-old Tony Sizemore of Saint Cloud, Fla.; 75-year-old Bobbie Nelson of Briarcliff, Texas; 54-year-old Gates Moore of Austin, Texas; and 50-year-old David Anderson of Dallas, Texas were issued citations for possession of mushrooms and possession of marijuana and released.

Seriously - Eddie looks totally like a homeless woman....I didn't know he had cancer - so I feel *a little* bit bad bagging on him.

And Ringo looks great - he's going to be the last Beatle to die - I've already predicted this  Poor Macca's jowels seems to sag more and more each year :distress: I still love him though.

Ooh them's fightin' words - my sister claimed him for her own years ago

Actually even she, in her undying love for Paul, claimed recently that he's crossed that line and it now going down the slippery slope of looking like an old British woman :distress:

George would've been the last Beatles to pass on.

As for Sir Paul, I was CONSTANTLY reminded how much I looked like him when I was younger...Guess I know what I'll look like if/when I ever get into my 60's.

As for EVH, I try not to bag on him, But when one survives cancer and then proceeds to knowingly do things that may have caused the disease in the first place I cant hold back at that point. I wish him luck.

Belinda Carlisle used to look like... uh, whatsername. Brett Butler. Just a little. Am I the only one seeing this weird, Frankenstein-esque patch on the side of her head? What the hell is that?

There have GOT to be better pictures of Chrissie Hynde. And Bonnie Raitt, c'mon.

Hey, Michael Bolton cut his hair! Never thought I'd see the day.

Patti Smith.

Queen Latifah is pretty. Maybe not in that particular pic, but I think she's a good lookin' chick.

Has anyone seen Rick Springfield on that 80's CD collection infomercial? His face doesn't move anymore...

 Adam Ant.

Dolly looks terrible.

Grace Slick looks nice. I like her hair in the '93 pic.

Whoever pulled these photos together did a piss poor job. There are a few that are decent. However, many of them are just bad photographs. They aren't close up, sometimes not even solo shots of the artist specified, and aren't at their peaks in terms of looks. I mean, why show Robert Plant in the 90's ? He was already rode hard and put up wet. Show him in 72. And Linda ! How about a shot from 1977 ? This was just sloppy photo editing, for the most part. Some, however, made a point. Just not good pictures and not a lot of contrast in some cases. I mean, come on, a Tango promo shot of Stevie, mislabeled, shot from 20 ft away, through a filter and then airbrushed to death ? Silly. Thanks for posting the link though.

It's funny, some of them are good, and others are lousy.

Some excellent ones, through sheer horror, are Adam Ant, Michael Stipe (WTF ? he looks 70 years old), Boy George, Patti Smith (though they should have used that Annie L. photo of her with the flaming oil barrels), and EVH, though the EVH after should have been a close up. Seems like whoever did this was just in a big fat hurry.

I was surprised at some of the people that were included (Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera in a grouping of AGING stars??? They dont belong in this group IMO.....also some of the "before" pictures were too recent compared to the "after" pictures....

Cat Stevens and early Lindsey had some of the BEST hair in Rock IMO....and I confess, I actually enjoyed the 80's glam rock era in terms of style (I know, I know, most people HATED it~~) Thats ok tho, it takes all kinds right?

The "after" photo of Stevie just reinforces my view that she looks FABULOUS for not only a woman her age, but for a woman who has put herself through the wringer and was substance abuser for the better part of her life. Wow. She is gorgeous. And yeah, that first photo was not from 1978, but I'm sure that's already been discussed at length.

info from Billboard.com:

Born: November, 03, 1954

"One of the seminal figures of new wave, Adam Ant (born Stuart Leslie Goddard) had several distinct phases to his career. Initially, he explored a jagged, guitar-oriented post-punk with his group Adam and the Ants before giving way to a more pop-oriented, glam-tinged musical direction that brought him to the top of the charts. After that had run its course, he refashioned himself as a mainstream singer, which enabled him to stretch his career out for a couple of years. Once it seemed that his musical career had evaporated, he made an unexpected comeback in the early '90s as an adult alternative artist."

Thanks for posting that EVH interview earlier. That guy is a total douchebag, albeit one of the best guitar player douchebags ever to have graced a stage. That makes me sick to think about, but whatever. I think EVH is on the edge of total emotional and physical collapse. He has totally self-destructed. I wonder what kind of cancer treatment he had. I thought Rod looked great for being 60ish. Patti Sith Ughh!!. Linda Ronstandt looked horrid. The Eagles memebers looked pretty good for approaching 60+. As for FM I have always found that Mick and John have really aged. I hated the pictures of them used on the cover for the SYW Tour program, as it totally makes them look really old. Manilow looked alright and Dolly looks ok. All in all some good ones but more time should have been taken for some of the before and after photos. As well where was Tina Turner or Cher for that matter?

Still fun to look at though.

I just know Ringo will be the last to go...call it a hunch but I've always thought that...and he's my least favorite

Nah...Pete Best will out-live 'em all...and have the last laugh. :D

The "after" photo of Stevie just reinforces my view that she looks FABULOUS for not only a woman her age, but for a woman who has put herself through the wringer and was substance abuser for the better part of her life.

Yeah, but whose face is she licking?

I know, that's what I thought! They couldn't find an old picture of Stevie by herself... or a current pic of Stevie where she's not kissing a dog and you can actually see her face?! I only looked at a few of the pics... would have been fun to see old and current pics side by side. How's this?

She didn't age a day. ;)

I don't want to sound narrow-minded... especially for a guy who digs hairy underarms on men... but that was a total EWW.

That's kind on a double standard isn't it?? :D
