I Feel Like Sharing: "The Visitor," "I'm Not Me," and bonus!

[SteveMacD]

The files are mp3, and large. I reripped "The Visitor" at 256 bit rate, which I'm told is much better than 56 bitrate. Honestly, to my ears, I could barely notice the difference. But, I'm all about keeping people happy.

Also included is The Zoo's "I'm Not Me" album, but don't get too excited. It comes from a CD-R that was burned with a cassette tape as the master source. There are about 15 seconds of silence with the tracks that lead off their respective sides. Not great quality, I realize.

BONUS!!! And, just because I love you people, here's Billy Burnette's "It Ain't Over" from his "Try Me" album. I post this because of the amazing vocals and keyboards from one lovely Christine McVie and the oh so sweet drumming of one Mick Fleetwood. This was ripped from the Japanese CD "Brother To Brother."

Thanks for these. I haven't heard them in a looooooong time. And thanks for the bonus!!!!

[Dan B.]

Thanks Steve. I don't have the time right now to download them because of work, but is the first track from The Zoo album the song by The Beach Boys from the late 70s? Angel Come Home is one of my favorite songs of all time, perfectly delivered by Dennis Wilson, I didn't know there were any covers done.

[Peestie]

Thanks! Can't grab them right now, but will do later!

[HomerMcvie]

Thanks Steve, I don't have I'm Not Me.

This was right after he died. I know Mick considered Dennis to be a friend, and was feeling the loss. (I'd be willing to bet that Steve Ross and George Hawkins also knew Dennis, as they were in the Mac's circle of friends, but I'm not sure about Billy, who had only recently become part of the Mac's circle.)

Great ears, Josh! :)

[joshywashy377]

Yes, he is.
Great ears, Josh!

Lol, I'd know that voice anywhere! Thats how I figured out Linds and Stevie were on Magnet and Steel, i was sitting there and it was on the radio, i had never heard it before and i could hear them clear as day! I Want You back and Angel Come Home are both great songs (Of course they both feature Mr. B) I Want You Back is addictive!

[HomerMcvie]

Is anyone else having trouble with Just Because?

[SteveMacD]

I'll repost "Just Because" tomorrow or Tuesday. I'd do it tonight, but I'm just about to go to the Columbus Blue Jackets preseason opener against the Nashville Predators.

[jbrownsjr]

Christine is on Angel Come Home too they don't list it properly

[FMtastic]

I think she is, yeah

"Angel Come Home" is the best Fleetwood Mac song NOT written or recorded by Fleetwood Mac (as a whole). And, it definitely should've been included in either or both the 1990 tour and the 1994/95 set, too.
