I have been researching and think I will be going to these shows:
Chicago
Phoenix
San Francisco
Denver
Seattle
Vancouver
The only city I've been to is Denver. Back in 1998, we drove through Phoenix. I'm super excited to see Chicago, San Fran, Seattle and Vancouver! I hope it all works out for me. :)

I plan on going to:
Atlanta
Nashville
Falls Church, VA
New York City
Boston
Foxwoods Casino, Ledyard, CT
I am not sure about the rest yet. Of course I have a credit from Southwest air but he seems to not be playing in ciites that they serve when it is a convenient time for me to go.

Deanna...I will see you in Denvah! Perhaps we can meet up at Casa Bonita. LOL We used to have one in Fort Worth, but it closed many years ago. Is that one still open up there?
Pattie....:( I was hoping to meet you. I can't go to any of those shows.
Awww..Gerald. :( If I were super mega-rich, I'd fly you over. :)

Oh yeah - we'll definitely have to meet up!! I'm not sure what Casa Bonita is ...sounds like a Mexican Restaurant? Hopefully some more Ledgies will join?
And Pattie - you should come to Denver - it'd be great to see you again, and then Christy could meet you :p

Milwaukee, Chicago, and maybe Denver ?
My husband has been after me to go to Denver to see his daughter out there, I kept telling him no, so this morning, I asked him if he would like to go out there on November 12th, which is our anniversary, knowing that LB will be there on the 13th - he says to me " why, is Buckingham playing there, or something? " Uhhhhhhh, yes!;) He says "so you'll go out to Denver to see Lindsey, but not to see my daughter?" - well, duh, of course!!!!!!!!! :] I think I can make it to that one, too, with a little prodding.
I would go to more, but we have our own business - sucks sometimes - like now !!!!!!!!:distress:

I got tickets for the show in Foxwoods.
I'm thinking of getting tickets for the Boston show too (it is right near where I work) if I find someone to go with.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Lindsey solo.

I'll be in New Jersey seeing Justin Guarini that night, but thanks, G. :xoxo:
Deanna, Casa Bonita is actually in Aurora. Yes, it's a Mexican food place. They have rides and games and people who dive off a cliff into a pool of water. It's really a place for kids. I thought maybe you'd seen that South Park episode where Kyle has his birthday there and doesn't invite Cartman. He DOES invite Butters and Cartman hides Butters away and goes in his place. Funny ep!
OMG...it's only 5 miles from the venue! We are so going to Casa Bonita. LMAO!! http://maps.yahoo.com/dd_result?newaddr=1621+Glenarm+Place&taddr=6715+W+Colfax+Ave&csz=Denver%2C+CO&country=us&tcsz=Denver+CO&tcountry=us&tname=Casa+Bonita&tdesc=%28303%29+232-5115

while Denver would be fun (Havent been to Denver since 1984. Plus I can do some snooping around about some family history since 3 of my 5 older siblings were born in Denver under weird/mysterious circumstances) I doubt I would have enough $$$ saved up to attend any show (Too many medical bills!!!)

I am thinking about it. I want to do San Francisco and LA too but the darn dates are so spaced out but yet not far enough for me to go out there and fly back and go and fly back out again. I am also thinking about Chicago. If he does more then one date I might go out to see a show. I just wish that it was somehow attached to a weekend.:(

I'm doing either LA or Anaheim or both. I like the Grove - I saw Erasure there last year and with the bar and ability to move your way up close? Good times. I haven't been to the Wiltern yet (nearly saw Eddie Izzard there), but I hear it's fantastic. I'm just wincing at the probable cost - Pet Shop Boys are going to be there later in November and their price is really steep.
Yeah. Synth pop and rock and roll. I feel like I should pick on myself.

Right now, it looks like Kristin (gypsyrhiannon), Tiff (Wldhrt315), and I will be attending Cincinnati, Mt. Clemens, and Chicago (multiple times if more are added). We have a couple non-Ledgies coming too to Chicago - should be quite a trip! I'm keeping Milwaukee as a possiblity, if I can get good tickets.

Well, I just bought a plane ticket for Chicago so I guess that I am going. Southwest had an internet sale that I could not pass up. LOL I can only go that Tuesday night ahd I have to fly home on Wednesday. Gotta make sure I work the overtime to pay for the trips.
Is there anyone who is planning on going alone that would like to split a pair of tickets with me? For the Nashville presale you had to buy a pair. I guess that the presales might all be the same.

I think it will be. If they made you buy a pair for Nashville's presale, I bet it will be like that for all of the presales. I guess they have blocks of tickets reserved for it and they are in twos. You know I don't really know. All the others show seem to say GA so I would image that LB would be the same. I guess that I don't need a presale after all.

Seattle is a 3 1/2 hour train ride away from Vancouver. Do NOT- I repeat- do NOT stay at the Presidio Inn on Lombard just past Divisadero. There's a Travelodge right across the street, and within walking distance from the Palace, that should do just fine if you're looking for a cheap, clean motel nearby. Just... don't stay at the Presidio Inn.
If you're going to go to the Wharf, the area immediately west of Pier 39 is a bit more "authentic", although it's all still really touristy (not that there's anything wrong with that). Not sure if you like seafood, but if you're at the Wharf, definitely check out Scoma's.
If you have time to go out and about in the city, North Beach is a blast- tons of great restaurants (especially of the Italian variety) and bars (Mr. Bings!)... plus, you're right next to Chinatown, which is an experience you can't miss.

Luke, thanks for the headsup! I was looking at that Americas Best Inn Presidio, but if that's a no-no...I'll pass. I'm so easy to please in the motel arena. I've stayed in some crap rooms and I've stayed in some very nice places. I've seen roaches, water leaks, no air, no heat, smoking rooms, nasty stained sheets, etc. LOL I just need a small, clean room. Clean being the most important word. I like fish, but other than that...not a seafood lover. A good fish dinner sounds good in San Fran though. :) I don't drink either, so I'm mostly interested in shopping, eats and of course, the touristy stuff.

christy- I am going to Denver too - just got my ticket- third row center (yes, it's confusing) I keep trying to see if there is closer but that's what keeps coming up - I am happy though. I was in the front last time FM came thru and got LB's autograph so honestly cannot complain.
C means center section and row B is 2nd row, so you are right. I remember getting my Brian Wilson tix there a few years back and it was sooo confusing with the L,R and C and then you have to find the row - and you have 2 min of course to figure it all out - LOL!
I would love to say hi to anyone going!

awesome Deanna!
would love to meet everyone - I see a lot of new faces and I don't post a lot anymore (no time) but was here way back in 1997!
Paramount is such a great venue too. We saw Brian Wilson there a few years ago - incredible show and very pleased with the intimacy of the venue. Good choice for LB!!!

Ledgies in the first three rows!! WOOHOO!!
I just got San Fran (2nd row) and a lousy Vancouver seat in Row M. 13th row...not bad, but not terrific either. Last show...I was hoping for first few rows. I don't wanna go for the Row F. If I can find Rows A-C...I'll grab one and sell this one. Hopefully.
Now, for round 2 tomorrow with Chicago and Phoenix. But at least they aren't at the same frickin' time.

My San Fran ticket was $55. The Denver ticket was $59.50. Then, you have to add the convenience charge, the CD ($15.19) and order processing fee. Close to $90, but I ain't complainin'...second row baby!

Me too, second row! I didn't notice the seat numbers when I was checking out, though. I got seat 12, which is exactly halfway between the center seat and the end seat, left side. I'm still happy, though.
Which seat are you?

I just checked and Seat 14 is up for grabs. Since they skip...that's right next to you. I am in seat 6. Closer to the right aisle.

Are you going to the show? Hopefully there will be a dinner thing beforehand....
I'm way excited...and I actually had forgotten about the presale - so I didn't even get to buying until after 10:30...luckily I still got a good spot!!

I guess I'm lucky that tickets are quite a bit cheaper for the shows I'm going to. Cleveland is only $35, Cincinnati is $33, and Detroit is $36. Go figure? I'm not complaining though!

Seat six is closer to the left aisle, my side. I mean left for us, looking at the stage. Well, we'll totally see each other, you are six seats down from me.
Maybe LB will point at me, and you'll get all jealous. And I'll be like "thank god I'm barely closer to the center!" I'm totally kidding, of course. Plus, he'll probably recognize you from all the other shows. :p Tee hee.
I'm kinda glad I was forced to buy the CD - I mean, I wanted it, but I "never" buy CD's. I'm really looking forward to it. I haven't even listened to the tracks, really - I want to listen all at once.

I look pretty much the same so hopefully, he'll remember I'm the gal who wrote him that letter and gave it to him in England and also, the girl who made him that book and poster. Hehe.
Oh yeah, we'll totally meet up in San Fran. It would be awesome to meet for lunch or something in every city with all the Ledgies.

hey all - I am seat 7 as well but in the front row- yeah (which I scored AFTER I got my third row and checked back 30 min later just to "see) (I also have a seat 7 in the third row I will now need to sell at the venue so if anyone wants it let me know - face value just to get my $$$ back).
I won't be able to meet up ahead of time for a dinner thing - my in laws will be in town for my son's first bday so I'll have to come to the show and leave but I will be there a bit early (as always!) to get my seat and get situated!
I hope he will sign stuff again! I am going to bring the new CD in case. He signed my BN album at the last FM show - such a doll he is! I can't wait! So thrilled!

That's it. I really think that I am going to try to do SF, too. I missed out on the CD presale but maybe something good will come-up for the radio sale.
Is it easy to get from the airport in Oakland to San Francisco? How far is Santa Barbara from SF and are there any cheap airlines that serves both cities?

Hey, Deborah, that is really cool! :blob2: I'll see way more of you this year than I saw of my family. You are soooo giving me a ride. If you drive. That venue requires, like, BART then MUNI. I'll have to figure the stupid busses out. I'll have to walk and stuff. Blergh. :p Plus then, we can eat at a restaurant a bit farther from the venue, if we want. If you are eating. With us. Or something.
Okay, I have the whole ride thing planned. (It's fine if you can't give me a ride, of course.)

Yeah, the plane thing (Oakland to SF) is easy, just a BART ride. Same as SF airport, just a BART ride. And a shuttle ride. Santa Barbara is waaay down the coast from SF, much closer to SoCA. I don't know about the airlines. When I want to know that stuff, I turn to the trusty internet.

I'm super excited because the venue in Seattle is actually a hotel too! I'll be staying literally right there!
Just be careful...that area of town can be shady (like the heart of downtown in most big cities).
A very awesome venue choice, though...it added to my excitement because LB will sound great in there! The Moore is a very cool, old theater.
Not that you won't be scoping everything out anyway, but performers typically enter the building through doors located in the (delightfully urine-scented ;) ) alleyway behind the theater.

Seattle is a 3 1/2 hour train ride away from Vancouver. I think flying to Portland, seeing that show, flying to Seattle, seeing a show the next night and then taking a train to Vancouver...little too much for me. I like the fact that some of the cities may have more than one show. Cluster, Lindsey, cluster!! LOL
Aaah.....I pictured you driving, which is why I was so puzzled.

I am excited about the train ride from Seattle to Vancouver. :)
Heck, I'm just plain excited about this whole deal!
ETA: I just got my Phoenix ticket. Section A-7, seat 3. It was being stupid and not letting me get one seat, but finally, I picked one it would let me have.

Not 100% when I'm going to fly up but maybe the day before the show so I can enjoy Seattle a bit. Then again...I may just go up that morning since I'll be gaining two hours. I can see the Space Needle, Pike Market, etc. then go to the show.
There is good public transportation in Seattle, right? I've done a little research but not a ton.
Any and all tips, recommendations, etc. are welcomed!

You bought a Phoenix ticket? I cannot understand the map. How many seats are in each section? I keep getting A-4, seat 8 and 9 or A- 7 Seat 12. I cannot find a good map. Does anyone have one for this Celebrity theatre?
Edit, nevermind. I see you just click on the damn section. Uh DUH. I love how this venue shows you how many seats have been sold. Very cool.

The Metro bus system is pretty good, the buses are free within the central downtown area. You can probably walk to quite a bit from where you're staying. Good restaurants, shopping, Pike Place Market, etc are only a few blocks away. We'll have to chat a bit when we get closer to November.

If you can, see Paul Allen's Experience Music Project museum. It's also by the space needle. I believe they call that area Seattle Center. There used to be a roller coaster and a monorail that would sometimes be operating. There are several hotels right in that area too.
