Anyone else going? I can't wait!! I am a little disappointed in the set lists that have been posted on their discussion board though. Only 14 songs and four of them are covers. They are now doing "You Wreck Me", which I am already seeing a zillion times with TP this year, so I'd rather have a JD song instead.
Now that the negative thoughts are out of the way, I will look forward to a good time. And will post a review in this thread. :blob2:

Would you mind posting the set-list? I have seen them before and am considering seeing them again at the fair this weekend.

I'm going to PM you the recent set list, as I didn't put spoiler in the title and I don't know how to edit a title thread.

announced to play the ShowPlace Theatre (Capacity 1500) at the Riverwind Casino in Norman on Oct.12th...Sad, I thought they would play at a larger venue in OKC than at a casino's theater in an OKC suburb (The Chickasaw Tribe must've got 'em to appear at a bargain price  )

bargain price They have been playing a lot of casinos, fairs, etc. I wonder how they feel about it... It just makes me feel like an old rocker seeing them at the GW Forum back in the day when they pulled 18,000 to their shows.
I may see them at the fair this weekend for old-times sake.

Some comments on this show, probably will take a couple postings.
First, and absolutely foremost, I was floored by the talent and energy of Ann and Nancy Wilson. I swear, in terms of vocals and performance, it was the 70's again.
I have gone to so many shows of bands/singers whose vocals have suffered and now either talk their way through a song, or rearrange it so they can deliver it. Tom Petty is an example--he still puts on an amazing show, but his vocals have clearly declined.
Heart was a completely different experience. Not only does Ann nail every vocal, but she includes -- and improves upon -- those "flourishes" that we have come to know and love. The little "whoo-hoo's" before a certain word (Heart fans know what I'm talking about).
I also loved that they played their songs in their entirety. Most of their 70's songs are really long and I think many other bands would do a shortened version in order to get more songs into the list or out of fear that people would become bored. Not Heart -- Magic Man had the great instrumental break, Crazy On You (great opener!) had a lovely acoustic intro, etc.
The other great part was a stunningly beautiful encore of Lost Angel (only one song from JD, such a heartbreak for me) and Dreamboat Annie (with Ann closing the show with a flute solo).
Some criticism in another post. But for now, hats off to Ann and Nancy Wilson!

Is that the instrumental song before Ann came out? I don't know their stuff 100%.
Definitely awesome. Chilling opener. Chilling first 5 songs, in fact. Then some problems...but more on that later.
Were you there?

Yes that's the intro...so Ann wasn't onstage for the intro...that's awesome what did she just come out when Nancy started COY? No I wasn't there but i was at a couple of shows this summer.

Yeah, the band took the stage, then Nancy came out and played for about 5 minutes. Then Ann came out at the start of Crazy On You and kicked ass for the next 87 minutes.
*The 87 minutes comment is a prelude to my next comments, but I mean it, she kicked ass.

Without a doubt. Each cover individually was totally hot. Except for You Wreck Me, which I thought was boring.
But I have an issue with 1/3 of the setlist being covers (which it was...5 out of 16). And I'll talk about that in a bit.
