Here are some very rare & unique live tracks from Fleetwood Mac's Heroes tour. Both of these tracks are from a show in Chicago on October 19th, 1974. This show was previously in circulation, but it was of horrible, pretty much unlistenable quality. This new version now in circulation is of far better quality. Thanks to Gaius for helping me out!
Here's "Bad Loser". As far as I know, this is the only live version of this song that exists.
Here's "I Loved Another Woman". This is a very unique version of this song. It was done as a Bob Welch/Christine McVie duet.

Again, thanks so much for these downloads. They're a fascinating sonic journey through Christine's career.

Yes! I was hoping I'd one day get to hear this in better quality. Her voice is so much more developed here than it is on those 1970 tracks. She grew immeasurably as a performer frm 1970-74.

Anyone else hear the similarities between that '74 version of "ILAW" and what would eventually be "Brown Eyes"...especially toward the beginning?
Christine's "treat me so mean" verse is really cool.

Is there any chance of re-posting these? I've only just came across this thread and the links are no longer available. I'm really intrigued to hear these, particularly "Another Woman". Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

Thank you so much for reposting these - they are wonderful! Christine sounds superb, especially on "I Loved Another Woman". I can't believe how underrated she was as a live performer - she truly is a rare talent.

it pains me to say this... but i think his new music is really boring.... i love LB solo and i waited for this album a while...
i sent it to another friend who is a LB fan.. but married and has 3 kids so he doesn't get to follow music anymore
his response to LB's new music was, "is he out of his mind?"
i'm hoping his electric album is more modern sounding... vs. manipulated folk
i'm still going to go see him... i'm still a huge fan of his... just disappointed

No probs J. If we ever find stuff like Bob's "Angel" sung by Chris then you'll get it too.
I'd just like to add as a random note that out of all the live versions of "Why" I think I like the 1974 ones the most, because the guitar intro was replaced by Chris playing piano. Now if we could add the three-part harmonies to that version then I'd be in heaven. :)

...from Go Your Own Way to Bwana is a long strange trip
But, it was only a very SHORT trip from "Tusk" to "Bwana".
If you think about it, Lindsey repeats himself quite often in style, sound & lyrics (for example, compare his tunes on Go Insane, Tango In The Night & Out Of The Cradle)...but, he's never again really written anything that is reminiscent of "Go Your Own Way".

I have endured this wretched experience. Johnny Stew's take on The Other Side of The Mirror is even more horrific. Being a kind fellow and in the Christine McVie forum at that, I will spare you the grisly details. I hope you never find yourself listening to Johnny Stew tear it up on "Ghosts" and "Long Way To Go." After aural assaults such as those, one is unlikely to recover.
