Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers during my dad's bout with cancer. Most of you remember he was diagnosed with CNS back in December. He died at 5:30 am Aug 26...(on my birthday the crazy old man!) Please continue to pray for my family ok? I'm flying out of Auckland tomorrow for the funeral in Little Rock, and burial which is on Wed. We may take him back to TN where I grew up because he wanted to retire there.

I'm so sorry, Brandon. And I'm sorry it happened on your birthday. :( My uncle died on my birthday and that was hard, I can't imagine if it were my father. Hang in there. You and yours will remain in my thoughts and prayers. :angel:

Thank you to everyone for your comments. After first I didnt want to post anything at all, but I've been here so long, we're all like friends anyway.

The task given to me, evidently was to come up with the epithet on his stone. I knew he would've wanted something that would've made him laugh. So along with beloved father, husband and friend the bottom is going to read "Papa was a rolling stone"

We're indeed taking him to east Tennessee near Chattanooga to be buried.

Thanks again for holding me and my family up with warm thoughts, and prayers.
