Got this from a really reliable source..
Without seeing it on the official web site or on the back of a cd, I'm not saying its 100%, but here goes:

The tracklist:
1. "Not Too Late"
2. "Show You How"
3. "Under the Skin"
4. "I Am Waiting" (Rolling Stones cover)
5. "It Was You"
6. "Try For the Sun"
7. "Cast Away Dreams"
8. "Shut Us Down"
9. "Down On Rodeo"
10. "Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind"
11. "Juniper"

Re: Now confirmed on Amazon.com. Well done to that person for spotting!:)

you should reveal your source - or at least give us some hints.

otherwise we can't get truly excited.

no She Smiled Sweetly?

very disappointed.

but still eager to see the real track list.

Intersting titles...I can't remeber that Stones song though...
Am I just drawing a blank and it's famous??
Or is it a rather buried blues Stones tune like
"Love in Vain"..I love that song...

Thanks for the info:nod:

Do you really need two CDs for 11 songs? (Unless they're all 15 minutes long?)

I wonder if he re-recorder the tracks FM played/sang on as there are several on there that I think were to be on the longer version of SYW that he wanted to release.

Fair doos. I've been speaking to a bloke on myspace that was talking about Under The Skin being released even before the official site. He's got a promo copy. Please take the info as you wish as I have not heard it myself:

He said:

Anything for a fellow Lindsey fan. The album is very thematically unified -- it's primarly acoustic with Lindsey doing all of the vocals himself. There are almost no drums at all. A few of the songs will be recognizable to diehards from the aborted "Gift of Screws" album (though I think "Under the Skin" is a more complete and better record, all told) and "Shut Us Down" from the "Elizabethtown" soundtrack is also here. I'll save extra details for whatever review I might write, but I think it's definitely Lindsey's strongest solo album to date. It's often very beautiful with predictably dazzling finger-picking, but Lindsey himself sounds like he's in a very good place: most of the songs tackle love, mortality, and family in a very compelling and touching way.

OK.. I may have got a bit over excited! :]
Its not the greatest most reliable source, but the list sounds a tad more reliable than the last one!!

I agree it does seem a little short for a CD album. Perhaps they'll be more added!?

Lets hope!!

Two cd's - two seperate releases at different times. This one accoustic, and the other a more rocking version. Not sure if it is going to be the same tracks on both.

Thanks for the info. As for the track list - even though almost half the tracks I've heard before - it's still going to be newly recorded if it's all accoustic, so I'm looking forward to it.

For someone who wants to release his material a la the thought of a double SYW issue - why does he duplicate songs in official releases a la "Bleed to Love Her," "Steal Your Heart Away," and now "Shut Us Down." I mean that was three new songs replaced by reissues of sorts.

Well to me that's a disappointing tracklist if it`s the real one. The only good thing about it is, that there are rumours about a second album in 2007 which I personally only believe when I see it.
11 songs are not that much and then there are just 6 new ones to my ears. Strand I agree with the double publishing a la Bleed to love her. Bring the new ones along instead. I surely hope that the source forgot to mention 4 or 5 tracks.

I agree the list is a little disappointing for new material...

It also explains why his soundstage was delayed for so long since it had 3 of the 11 tracks!

I'm not trying to indemnify this track listing as bogus but I did notice that a few of these song names are actually lyrics to other songs, one of which is already included on this supposed track listing. For instance, the first song track "not too late" is actually a lyric from "Twist of Fate" and Juniper is used in the line "fly down juniper" in Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind, which has already been listed above. "It was you" sounds strangely similar to "It was I" and Cast Away Dreams sounds too much like it's a poke at Stevie's "Dreams". These aren't based on anything other then observation... Also, for a Lindsey C.D. this isn't that sparse. Law and Order only had 11 tracks, and Go Insane only 9. In addition he'll need some material for another cd. only my opinion

stefan
08-13-2006, 01:59 PM
After 14 years 11 songs are sparse. In addition he claimed to write songs like crazy 3 years ago. The second CD... Who believes in that? At least not in 2007. But if there really is one in the making it will morphe into a FM album in 3, 4 or 5 years.

Pretty much my thoughts too. "Cast Away Dreams" is almost like a combination of two Stevie song titles, "Castaway" and "Dreams".

Also, if track #1 is actually "Twist Of Fate" then I take the title change as a wry comment on aging and the gap between the last solo album and this one: "Not Too Late".

Of course if this is just a promo copy then someone from the record company probably just hastily scribbled down what he/she thinks are the track titles without asking from Lindsey himself.

nichora
08-13-2006, 02:59 PM
I appreciate everyones a little dubious about this list of titles - myself included.

Lindsey does tend to copy himself though:

* Dreams is also on out of the cradle as 'Street of Dreams'.

* 'Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind' was mentioned in shuffle riff.

* There's 'play in the rain' on go insane and 'surrender the rain' on out of the cradle.

* He even rips off a large section of lyrics from 'You do or you don't' and lobs it in 'bleed to love her'

I agree about being a bit short for a CD album. The LP's were restricted to 45 minutes, so you would expect something about the length of Out of the cradle!?

....and the acidpissing starts again. :distress:

11 songs on a record that is a unity is fine for me. Alot of albums are just too long in my opinion. (how many ledgies dissed SYW for being too long? Stop being so opportune)

Shut us down was given for the movie and Back then I clearly have read that it was from his forthcoming soloalbum. I am pleased to see it on the tracklist and I'm curious how it fits in a concept. The fact that a gem like SGCYM is on an official release is more than logic: If the theme of the record is interpreted well by the lucky owner of this copy, it fits perfectly. By the way, I really want to hear a good quality recording of that anthem. DOR is the most wanted song by ledgies from GOS. He clearly recognized that himself. I'm personally not so fond of Try for the sun and I am waiting has never been released, only in a liveversion.

I'm sure we will find some GOStracks on his next one: they were just too damn good.

Embrace the fact that he's coming out in the open again and mark my words:

We are facing a new masterpiece.

L&O and GI were records, which can only hold so much music. His first oppurtunity to record an album onto cd, he put 16 songs on there!
No, it was 12 or 13 songs. 13 if you count "This Nearly Was Mine" which is roughly 90 seconds long. Three of the 16 were short introductions which I'm sure most of us wouldn't count as songs.

OOTC clocks in at 48:42 on my CD player which is still within the normal lengths for a vinyl album. There was a vinyl issue of OOTC outside of USA with none of the music omitted. And it was possible to put out a vinyl album with 50-60 minutes of music on it even back in the old days (check out Genesis' Foxtrot or Selling England By The Pound, or Todd Rundgren's A Wizard/A True Star). If Lindsey had wanted to do an hour long album on one piece of vinyl in the '70s or '80s he would have done it.

We don't know how long these tracks on the album are going to be, so we don't know how long the album itself will be. Going by the average song length on SYW (four minutes) I'd say that Under The Skin will be well over 40 minutes but probably slightly shorter than OOTC. Unless Lindsey has gone all "D. W. Suite" on our asses once again.

I'm not really too considered about the length of the album. Some of my favourite albums like Nick Drake's Pink Moon or Francis Albert Sinatra And Antonio Carlos Jobim are less than half an hour long. Yet there's nothing that I could ever imagine adding to those, they're short and sweet perfection as they are.

Maybe Lindsey actually took some hint from the critics of SYW, most of who wrote that the CD was way too long. And according to what we've read he stripped down his songs so most of the fans get what they want too. Is the old man catering down to our tastes? ;)

If the album is cohesive like this, it'll be good. The only thing that bothers me is the amount of "new" (meaning "new to us") songs. I agree with Stefan that the electric CD won't probably happen at all. So in that case maybe an album with the length of SYW consisting mostly of songs we haven't heard before would've been better anyway.

I am not looking for a collection of 16 loose songs. I want an album that lives on it's own, where the tracks need eachother and hang together. I want quality, not quantity. Believe me I've waited just as long as you for this but nonetheless, the remark 11 songs in 14 years is bull to my ears.

And that electric one is ready. I'm sure.

Lindsey does tend to copy himself though:
Not to mention my username which has so far appeared in three of his songs.

Personally I'm more interested in the (likely) musical self-quotations this time around. Will we get another piece in the "Big Love" > "Doing What You Can" > "Big Love" (acoustic) > "Miranda" continuum? How about another guitar solo in the vein of "I'm So Afraid"/"Tango In The Night"/"Murrow"? Not that it bothers me much, because so far the atmospheres on those "recycled" tracks have differed notably to me and that's what matters to me the most.

I can't even imagine the "acidpissing" (good term that, Gerald) when we actually hear the music on the album. But maybe at least I should hear it before I start speculating any further. :o

I agree with you, Gaius. But Don't stop speculating. I've tried to survive as a ledgie all this time and now that we can use our fantasy in interesting times I don't want you to bite your tongue. But let's use our fantasy to provide some nice foreplay so our boners will be gigantic on october 3rd. I don't want to read Ï'm dissappointed because there are just 11 tracks. We waited so long, I just don't understand that this tracklist only can put people down. Nor the fact that His masterful Shut Us down is on this record is considered copying from yourself. It was written for this album, not for that boring movie.

At least we're facing the best albumtitle in FM-related releases since decades.

I'm probably going to get crucified for this, but if "I Am Waiting" is indeed on 'Under The Skin,' I hope that Stevie's backing vocals are still in the mix. They were so pretty, and since they're rather unobtrusive, hopefully Buckheads wouldn't complain too much about her presence.

No different from the cover and the message of Law And Order where Lindsey intentionally imitates old '30s and '40s Finnish movies: because 99,5% of the people in the country had seen just whiteys most of their lives some actors just put some shoe polish on their faces and pretended to be black.

Well, to give Lindsey the benefit of the doubt, since he didn't write "It Was I". That track on Law & Order was a cover of an old late '50s/early '60s hit by Skip & Flip. ("Skip" being recently departed bassist Skip Battin who would go on to be a member in a late '60s/early '70s incarnation of the Byrds and a mid-'70s incarnation of the Flying Burrito Bros and even later, New Riders Of The Purple Sage)

"I Am Waiting", yeah, is a Stones cover (therefore NO relation to "I Can't Wait" whatsoever), but "Try For The Sun" is also a cover, written by Donovan.

Knowing THAT tidbit of trivia, then could "Juniper" be a nod toward Donovan's song "Jennifer Juniper", and NOT "SGCYM"?

I AM surprised that "She Smiled Sweetly" didn't make the cut on this album...maybe it'll be on the next one. (and, hopefully "Gotta Get Away")

And, to all those who are sniping about Lindsey "re-releasing songs", get real, GOS was never OFFICIALLY released (nor at this point, INTENDED for release), therefore, we really should never have known about those songs.

Chili you're right about this. But on the other hand there still is the Soundstage DVD, where 3 tracks from this supposed tracklist appeared. I compare that to the Bleed to love her (The Dance, SYW) thing. He claimed to have a lot of material- so to me it was a nice thing, if he brought it on.

Gerald, you're right too. My main feelings are excitement and surprise about the release of the album. I didn`t believe in this solo album project. I think I am extremely biased because of my experience from 1997 to 2003 where I visited the Reprise website every day and learned to love the "tentatively scheduled" phrase.
Of course quantity is not the main aspect. It was just my hope, knowing Lindsey`s album output rate to build a musical fat belt like some wintersleep-nutria. Musical fatbelt= a lot of songs, which will help us LB fans through the next years. So living in Lindsey world you tend to regard things from a different point of view.
My favourite artist Niels Frevert put out an album with just 37 minutes of music. I didn`t mind because his album fit together perfectly and he doesn`t need 14 years for the next one.
The quality of the LB songs- I don`t have any doubts I will be pleased. What was missed on SYW- the cohesiveness (is there a word like that in english?) of the album, will be there on the new solo record. I am sure about that. And that`s a good thing.
What we can expect musically... I wouldn`t have classified SGTYM or DOR as acoustic songs. But yes, bass and drums are not prominent there. There still is some vocal layering also. The inclusion of that one indicates what he means about it. A mixture between SUD and DOR So I guess style-wise it won`t be like Springsteen's Ghost of Tom Joad.
All in all I am very much looking forward to it.

I know what you mean and for me it wasn't different. We all know that frustration. But hanging on to that frustration kills the pleasure when things ARE going to happen.

Musical fatbelt= a lot of songs, which will help us LB fans through the next years. So living in Lindsey world you tend to regard things from a different point of view.
We both live in that world where time didn't seem to exist. Let's take the man's words serious: "It's a turnaround, time-frame-wise, for someone who's been sort of the Terrence Malick of rock," . With that remark, he acknowledged our feelings in this matter. So for once it seems he has put his things together and distilled two cohesive albums, totally 20+ songs, and wants to release them back to back. I bet Twist of fate, shuffle riff and Gift of screws will be there too among new stuff.
.

Hail to the man who finally breaks the silence.

As happy as I am that Lindsey's FINALLY releasing some new (to some of us) material, I'm trying NOT to get TOO excited and let my expectations (for the previously unheard material, especially) get too high that I end up being let down.

But, with the exception of Out Of The Cradle, most of Lindsey's material takes more than the first listen to assimilate and digest.

Between SYW and these next couple of albums, I think I'm going to regret ever knowing about GOS and its material. Congrats to those who have resisted them all these years.

You say that like it's a bad thing! Typically, the songs you like after one listen are the ones you forget about in a week, and the ones that take some time to sink in while you absorb all the nuances are the ones that you love for a lifetime.

Hello all---

Wow. What a surprise---I just visited Lindsey's website for the first time in months, and I was shocked to read that he has a new album coming out soon. Of course, I came straight here to find out the REAL scoop...!

I honestly thought we'd seen the last LB solo release. He's obviously got all the money he needs, with steady income from catalog royalties, and he's probably well-settled into his family life. So I figured he'd keep doing the occasional soundtrack tune...you know, keep it simple and relaxed.

And now THIS.

Taking a look at the supposed track listing, I'm a little disappointed, but I'll try to reserve any judgement until I hear the real deal. I'm just happy the thing is being released at all...!

I just hope that it's good. I loved GIFT OF SCREWS and I liked SAY YOU WILL, but I have to admit, I was disappointed with the SOUNDSTAGE show, and I've always loved Lindsey's acoustic performances. I'm thinking specifically of the many promotional spots he did for OUT OF THE CRADLE---acoustic versions of "Countdown," "Street of Dreams, "Never Going Back Again," and others.

On the other hand, the SOUNDSTAGE show just seemed...I don't know...sterile? Maybe even a little boring. I know---blasphemy! Believe me, it hurts to even have such thoughts, but I just hope the new album will be a fun new direction for Lindsey and that the songs and performances are good. I'm not one of those people who prefers "the old Lindsey" or "the solo Lindsey" or whatever. I like the guy's music, and I know he's capable of great things in any given moment, so I guess my expectations are just a little higher when he's concerned.

Welcome to the board, Matt! :wavey:

If this is the real tracklisting then I really can't complain at all. I think for an acoustic album he's pulled the best stuff off GOS and put it there, I think it's a nice mix of those songs and new (new to us) stuff.
My originaly reaction to eleven tracks was "That's a bit short" but now that I think about it it's fairly reasonable.

Exciting times!! Sounds like everyone thinks it will be a triumph. Woot!

Hello all---

Thanks for the kind welcome. I've actually been reading The Ledge for many years now...maybe 10 or more? I know I was checking out The Penguin site back when I first started my current job, and that was over 10 years ago. I've posted messages a couple of times, but not very much and not in several years.

As for the new album, I'll believe it when I have it in my hands, and if it includes "Down on Rodeo," then I'll be happy. The fact is that I'll buy a Lindsey album whether I like it or not...*grin*.

If this is the acoustic album and there's an electric one coming next time around, my question is:

Will this version of Down On Rodeo be some special new acoustic version (something between the rough demos and the Soundstage), or the full bass+drums 'complete' version from GOS?

I know that we don't have confirmation that this is even the official tracklist (although it seems like a very likely list), but still it's worth pondering.

If the next album is more rocking, I imagine we might get everyone's other faourite, Shuffle Riff?

I like the idea that LB is sort of 'offloading' all of the GOS etc material into these two releases, then if there is another FM/BN record it would be the 'from the ground up' or even 'writing together' that he mentioned he wanted to do in the future during the SYW recording.

"Shuffle Riff" is okay for me, but what I really want is a quality studio version of "My Little Demon." I've heard a couple of different versions of the song---I think one was a demo and another was a studio version---that have been circulated by fans, but neither sounded as good as the rest of the GIFT OF SCREWS tracks that we've heard. [I've been out of the loop for a while, so maybe a high-quality version of "Demon" is out for trading---if that's the case, would someone be kind enough to share...?]

As for "Down on Rodeo," it's always been one of my favorites from GOS. But yesterday, I listened to the demo again for the first time in a long time, and I was struck by how simple and elegant it sounded, even in its rough form. That's a tune that works well as a fully-arranged [i.e. GOS] version or as a stripped-back version. In fact, I think there's something about the demo that's lacking in the full studio version. What a fine song either way, though.

All this talk had me pulling out my GOS CD as well, to which I haven't listened in many months---probably since SAY YOU WILL was released. Some of the songs that were originally my favorites---"Murrow" and "Come," for instance---didn't hold up as well for me. On the other hand, some of them---"Down on Rodeo," "Gift of Screws," and "Say Goodbye"---sound better than ever. I've already mentioned "Rodeo," but I love the manic sound and vibe of "Gift of Screws." I love it when Lindsey just cuts loose like that. Makes me wonder if the song originated from a studio jam between he and Mike [that MUST be Mick behind the kit, right? Sure sounds like him...particularly the drum fill and stinger at the end of the song!]

As for "Say Goodbye," I still think it's one of Lindsey's best tunes---solo or Mac---EVER! But I don't care as much for the arrangement---the clicking, chicka-chicka sound of the percussion effect and guitar effect didn't age well for my ears. Last night, I pulled out the SOUNDSTAGE DVD and watched this song. Wow. It sounds so much better with just Lindsey's guitar and no other effects. Of course, I also prefer it without Stevie's harmonies, though I have to admit that she sang it better on SOUNDSTAGE than she did on SAY YOU WILL. [For the record, I am NOT anti-Stevie---in fact, although I am definitely a Lindsey fan, I was more impressed with some of Stevie's SYW tunes than I was with Lindsey's, probably because I'd already been listening to all but one of his songs for many months! *grin*]

Oh, but I'm getting hopelessly off topic.

I like the idea that LB is sort of 'offloading' all of the GOS etc material into these two releases, then if there is another FM/BN record it would be the 'from the ground up' or even 'writing together' that he mentioned he wanted to do in the future during the SYW recording.

I absolutely agree. Let's get the GOS tunes out of the way so that he can truly get to some new material. I hadn't heard about Lindsey wanting to "write together" with others---presumably Stevie or FM? What were his exact comments? I've often wondered why he and Stevie haven't written together more often. Have they ever truly co-written a song? ["The Chain" notwithstanding]

I have to admit, though, that part of me is wondering if Lindsey is trying make a last strong effort to release the songs he's got in the can to strengthen his legacy...as if it needs strengthening! He certainly knows himself---that it takes him quite a long time to prepare his songs for release. And let's face it---he's not getting any younger, and he has a family now, and his kids are reaching the age where they're starting to get very active. Could he be looking ahead and realizing that he soon won't have the time---and perhaps not even the inclination---to want to record or perform any more?

Hah. Maybe I'm just projecting my own experiences onto Lindsey...probably NOT a good thing. I've been in a band for many years, but we all have young kids, and about 4 years ago, we stopped performing live because we missed our families. We still record occasionally, but I guess our priorities just changed. Of course, WE all have day jobs, unlike Mr. Buckingham, whose music IS his day job...

I've often wondered why he and Stevie haven't written together more often. Have they ever truly co-written a song?Apparently not--at least not according to Stevie. But then many of her co-written songs in her own solo life weren't genuine two-writers-in-one-room-at-the-same-time types of endeavors.

Well, by all means, tell us what you REALLY think...!

You certainly have every right to that opinion, but I have to respectfully disagree. Some of the best songs are sad songs, so if "Down on Rodeo" is lugubrious, then I think that's a GOOD thing. I'd add "Street of Dreams"
and "Say Goodbye" to that list, too. And they also happen to be some of my favorite Lindsey songs.

What do you mean by "antimusical?" Do you mean "not musical" or "anti- musicals," like Carousel, Chicago, etc.? I'm not trying to be a jerk---I sincerely don't understand what you mean. Sorry if I'm being dense.

11 tracks seems fine to me. Most of the "classic" albums by plenty of artists have fewer tracks than that, so I can live with 11. Especially since Lindsey says he's planning a second CD.

If he doesn't release the "electric" CD then I'll be disappointed in the length of UTS because I liked how SYW was long (I would have liked a double album) and would have liked to see him do a really long album. As it is, releasing 2 CDs (I hope he does...) back to back will be enough for me.

Hey Matt -

I remember in the Destiny Rules doc Lindsey saying he wanted to write some songs with Stevie from the ground up next time around. Or was that in one of his articles? Sorry, I've been out of the loop for a while here, it's all a blur. Maybe someone else here has a better recollection?

As for David's critique of DOR as unmusical, don't worry as his posts are invariably unserious!

Good to "see" ya! I do remember him saying that, but like you, I can't recall if it was in DR or some article. Of course, with those two...I'm not sure it's possible. LOL It would be very interesting if that ever happens. I wonder if it would be like Lindsey writing the music and Stevie writing the lyrics or they collaborate on both. Who knows.

WRITING HABITS

Buckingham: "I've built a studio in my new house, and I'd love for Stevie and myself to sit down and do some stuff from the ground up with two-part harmonies. If we had one complaint about this album, it's that we used a lot of older material, and a lot of mine was set in stone. Co-writing would be interesting. We've never done that."

Nicks: "Since 1969 in San Francisco, Lindsey and I have always written separately. And we've always been respectful to each other. He'd never say, 'I think you need to change this line.' I'd never say, 'I don't like the chorus.' We both understand that once a song is written down and presented, it can't be changed."

Of course it would require holding back parts of their egos but who knows? Stranger things have happened.

And welcome back Joe!

You certainly have every right to that opinion, but I have to respectfully disagree. Some of the best songs are sad songs, so if "Down on Rodeo" is lugubrious, then I think that's a GOOD thing. I'd add "Street of Dreams" and "Say Goodbye" to that list, too. And they also happen to be some of my favorite Lindsey songs."Lugubrious" comes from the book "Conversations with Pauline Kael."

What do you mean by "antimusical?" Do you mean "not musical" or "anti- musicals," like Carousel, Chicago, etc.? I'm not trying to be a jerk---I sincerely don't understand what you mean. The concept--& possibly the word itself--comes from a nearly forgotten review, possibly in Rolling Stone, of Stevie's contribution to the "Boys on the Side" soundtrack. When I post stuff, I just combine bits & pieces of everything I have ever read or heard. It doesn't necessarily make linear or logical sense; it's more my form of painting. The Ledge is my canvas.

It's funny but I thought that Frozen Love was co-written for some reason. No doubt if I go check on that it will be an SN song, but I thought it was the 'one song BN wrote together'? Or was it 'sung together', in terms of the shared singing parts?

And, I'll bet it WON'T be titled "Shuffle Riff", either. ;) That is a CLASSIC case of a "working title". (like "Brushes" was the working title for "Never Going Back Again"...or "Scrambled Eggs" was the working title for the Beatles' "Yesterday")

along with "wear you down" ...cuz that was the real business. i .loved. that demo.

11 tracks is not a bad offering, considering how lindsey's songs seemed to have increased in length. the shut us down cover itself is over 5 minutes. but really, i'm not holding my breath that this list is accurate (although it does make sense in its own ways), and i'm not putting any .02 in until i see the track listing on the cd itself.. or if it is officially announced before hand. that being said, i won't be sad either way in respect to the appearance or absence of the GOS songs. what lindsey wants us to hear is what i want to hear. i hope sneaking a listen at the demos won't have ruined some of the excitement of the new record for me.

as far as 2nd record speculation goes.. if there is a 2nd "electric" album, i'd bet that it was near completion if not already.. maybe a little explanation for the length of time this has taken?

i have never been disappointed by this man and his music and i am not going to start acting like i am now... before the record has even been released. ridiculous.

I just hope that Lindsey found -again- a new way to morph his incredible talent into longlasting songs. Shut Us Down is a masterpiece, so if that's the norm for the rest we're up for another mindblowing and intriguing album, that will gather a big critical acclaim. Editorial reviews has this:
Product Description
Buckingham's first album in 14 years, Under The Skin, is a pop masterpiece worth the wait! All tracks were performed and produced by Buckingham, and all but two were written by him.
So no more covers, other than the ones we know. Of course it doesn't say anything about co-writes, which is what "Shut Us Down" is.

Thanks Nico! And I won't be posting there either because I don't have an account, but I'd like to say the same thing I said earlier in the thread: "Indeed, it's 'Not Too Late', Lindsey!" ;)
