So I was making a list of DVDs I want to purchase and several of them are movies from my youth that are geared toward kids - but I still love them!
What are some of the movies you saw as a kid and never grew out of/still enjoy?
My list:
The Parent Trap
Mary Poppins
Cloak and Dagger
Flight of the Navigator
Newsies
The Great Muppet Caper
Muppets Take Manhattan
Muppet Movie
Muppet Christmas Carol
Free Willy
These are movies I either own and watch or will soon own - I just enjoy them :p

The Wizard of Oz
The Goonies
Mary Poppins
Beetlejuice
Dirty Dancing
Home Alone
I'd love to see Pippy Longstockings again. Haven't seen that one in YEARS!
I know some of these movies came out when the majority of you were teens and 20's, but I was born in 1984, so I was just a babe.

My main favorites from my youth are Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, the 80s Pippi Longstocking, Newsies, and Dirty Dancing.
Also, movies I feel I shouldn't love but do (with every fiber of my being) include Clueless, You've Got Mail, Legally Blonde, and Ever After.

A movie I never outgrew (nor did many people who saw it) is Richard Fleischer's "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" with Kirk Douglas, Peter Lorre, Paul Lukas (a drag as the moralizing professor), Ted de Corsia (Creepy Ted of the old noirs) & James Mason in a landmark performance as the tormented Captain Nemo.
The movie's got verve, great production design, cool music ("Whale of a Tale"), Technicolor & a cute seal. What more could kids -- or adults -- want in a movie?

Bahaha... HEY, THE LION KING!! DUDE. Why did I forget to include that? When I first saw that, for some reason, I cried at the beginning where all the animals flocked to see baby Simba. I need to watch that again.
Hm, what else? I'm not crazy about Free Willy.

And yeah, I do count it as a kids movie. And you're all lying if you say you don't want a cool rider. If I got a jacket like that it would totally match my future skates (see sig).
Naturally, I haven't ever outgrown Grease, either - it includes the unexpected star turn of Olivia Newton John's bangs - a tour de force performance:

A little trivia - I believe that cigarrette was nominated for a supporting actor oscar. Tragically, it was posthumously awarded because if you recall, right after its appearance it was cruelly stomped out, its bright fire forever extinguished.

 MP is still ridiculously hot. ridiculously. i used to watch up close and personal like 3 times a day when i was in middle school, and i would tell people it was because robert redford was in it, but it was a lie.
actually, i'm adding that to my list. it's not a kids movie, but i saw it as a kid and totally loved it, and always will.

True, her surgery hasn't been tragic, but it sure is severe.

Well, I think it looks more severe, too, because your face tends to thin out and get drawn when you get older. Most especially on people who stay so thin. I think she looks okay, I mean, the surgery dropped her from like, second most beautiful woman ever to second and a half? :p She kind of looks like a really beautiful alien now more than ever. I don't think she looks that different - besides age.
See look here's a fairly early picture (Ladyhawke) , and she looks weird face here as well.
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y12/antisnark/17-1.jpg
Here's a really early one. Weirdface. It is odd that she got her lips done, though. It seems fairly unnecessary.
