I am watching this move. I'd frgotten how much I loved this movie! I also forgot how sad it was. Tom Hanks, Sally Field and Gary Sinise do such an amazing job!
well, just thought i would share!

It was ok but i'm not sure it merited all the Oscars the film took home.I liked Zemeckis's next flim Contact more and think it should have gotten some nominations ..Wrong genre I guess.

I liked this movie. It's the only thing I can stand Tom Hanks in.

that's funny. because I used to like Tom Hanks until this movie. for some reason he irks the **** out of me now.
as for the movie, it's good. sappy, overdramatic and a tad cliche, but good.

I loved the movie but it's a bit overrated, it's not a "cult" movie, but very very good. and eveybody acted very good
but most of all.. the soundtrack. IT RULES! I was thrilled when I heard Go your own way. Unfortunately it was not included in the CD

Well, they put him every goddamn thing and act like he's Sir Laurence Olivier or something. All I can say is, does anyone remember Bosom Buddies?

I LOVED Bosom Buddies!!! I've loved Tom Hanks since I can remember - I used to watch the show - then I saw Big and I have loved Tom Hanks ever since.
Olivier he's not - but I enjoy him :o

I think there's great acting in Forrest Gump but the script was an essay on hypocrisy, exactly like Philadelphia (no wonder MicKey Mouse is in both of them and for both won Oscars).
Contact otherwise was brillaint, even if the final is ludicrous. (Hollywood on a new age trip corrected with some drops of Catholicism... ).
