I'm back babies!!!!! (saying it like Frank Costanza)
Well, ok, not really...just dropping in to offer a hearfelt "HELLO" from Kiwiland, and say that i hope all of you are doing well. I've been traveling in NZ for the last 3 weeks and have just been balls-to-the-wall busy. I'll be settling in Wellington on Friday and should be on more often. I have a web page up with some pics already & will be updating it more often, so bookmark it if you're feeling frisky.
Lots of love,
BRANDoN

Hi Brandon,
Some Nice Pics there, NZ looks Class. I see you managed to get your white Les Paul accross the water with you. Did it cost any extra to ship it. Did you take it on as hand luggage or did you have to put it in with the rest of the lugggage. Just askin as i might take my guitar over to California with me
Beautiful Chet Atkins Gibson who owns that lovely guitar. What songs were you playing on it ?

Aww Brandon....I'm so glad you finally got there! Whats more youv'e posted lots of photos of my home town!! Actually I lived at the other end of Wellington harbour (The Hutt) but it's good to see those pics :]
The big silver ball is fabulous, so are the silver fern trees in the civic centre, its all part of the revitalised harbour area, as is that wooden structure sculpture thing in another photo. Anyway, hope you had a great holiday and looking forward to some hard work at Massey. The meat pie pic was great btw  keep us posted with your progress.

Yes, it can do. I remember an NZ tele ad about 20 years ago, which showed a young NZer about to embark on his big "overseas" trip, backpack at the ready and it said something like "see your own backyard before you go" and it's so true, we see home as just another place but in reality, to other people it's amazing. It can take years to appreciate it wherever you live.

NO! I didnt manage to get the white Les Paul here...I was too afraid to ship it. I had 3 suitcases, so my hands were full when I got to customs. Thats why I bought the Chet Atkins when I got here. Not sure what I was playing in that picture...?

You have to be careful of those $1 Big Ben brand of pies - they are infamously known for the people who make them spitting in the mixture

So, why did you move to New Zealand? For work, or just a change of pace? It looks beautiful there, reminds me a bit of Seattle with the water and snow covered mountains. Oh, and I love your tattoos... I'm a big Tolkien fan.

Thanks Ken. =) If anyone can tell me what my "lizard" tattoo represents I'd probably have to get naked. Er...anyway...
I wanted to attend school here, which is nigh impossible unless you're sponsored and/or can get all of your american credits to transfer and THEN must also get accepted to a program of study. Anyway...that fell thru but I had a visa good for one year anyway to work, so here I am. Just enjoying my life again (I was bitter all thru my early 20s) but I'm "back" again.

Oh I WANT to go to Vic or Massey, but they wont accept me into the program of study because I dont have a porfolio of work. I could "mock" up one...but then I'd be that much further behind than all the other students...you know...the dumb American! haha...I basically would have to enter as a first year and start all over again. Not quite sure what to do there.
