Pirates 2 and the NEW RIDE!

[jkmaletic]

I just watched footage on MSN.com of the Red Carpet event held at Disneyland last saturday. Those invited got to attend a screening of the movie AND were able to ride the newly renovated Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. All the stars were there, including Johnny Depp. :) They showed clips of inside of the ride where Jack Sparrow was added and it looks awesome! They also had a clip of Johnny meeting his own likeness on the ride and he was totally tripping out. The audio-animatronic figures of him look VERY realistic and very much like him! I can't wait to go to Disneyland again to see it! We're trying to wait until Oct-Nov after the summer crowd dies down, but I don't know if we'll make it!
As for the movie, I want to see it bad enough to brave the theatres. I swore off theatres awhile back due to all the rude people and the general gamey-ness of the seats in the theatres, know what I mean? So gross. But I'll do it to see Pirates on the big screen. Anyone got any chair condoms??

I saw that MSN clip and the likeness is pretty freaky. For something that's animatronic, the movements were very lifelike. Sadly, I've never been to Disney-anything.:distress:

Wow, I really want to see this! I loved Pirates when I went to Disney but it's been many years.
