EDIT: BTW - this isn't my recording, I just found it on Youtube. It was taken by someone (can't remember screenname, sorry) on the Sevenwonders board.

*sobs, again*
Her voice sounds delicate. It sounds more beautiful. It sounds exquisite. It sounds higher. It sounds fluid. Can someone with a better ear confirm?
Thanks Paula.

The audio isn't matching up with the video for me. Anyone else having this problem, or is it my computer?
Still incredible, though. She's singing so high. Harmonies. Damn.

The audio isn't matching up with the video for me. Anyone else having this problem, or is it my computer? :shrug:Happened to me, too. In fact, that often happens with clips I watch on YouTube.

oh. oh. oh. :o :o
just when i think she can't really impress me anymore...
how lovely was that? i actually caught my breath when they sang "well, i bet your his masterpiece..." thanks for posting, paula.
and y'all want to hear something REALLY frustrating?? saturday night i was out for dinner. and i got a text message from my friend who lives in washington:
"hey! i'm at the t. petty concert and stevie nicks just came out and sang a song with him!!!"

ARRRRRRGH!!!! i had contemplated calling my friend and seeing if by any chance she'd want to go to the show; in the end i had no time off, no money, and figured she wouldn't be into paying big $$ just so i could see stevie - again. she didn't even have any idea stevie would be there!!!

I am so thrilled to see this, and I am just waiting for it to load. One question while I wait, though. Is her hair trimmed shorter, or is it just in shadow? nevermind, it loaded, and the hair is still long. Now I am listeing to the voice, more important than hair.

This gives me chills. Stevie sounds so young here, so sweet and angelic! And of course I never tire of the song. It was great to see how happy they were with the song also. I want a whole record of them together.
Want. It.

words do not even express how much love I have for this song. And really, it's not even the words, it's the passion this song is sung with. Thank you so much Paula for posting and to whomever out there recorded that. My life is complete now.
well.....not so fast. I still need birthday tickets to go see them saturday *L*
on edit-yeah, the words didn't match up for me also. I first noticed it when she was away from her mic and words were still coming out. doesn't YOUTUBE know how important this song is??!!!! and they should have known better than to F*CK it up!! ha ha

I absolutely adore this song too!! Its just such a sweet small song... and because of that is held so dearly and is bigger than some of her biggest.
I love the live version more than the studio. I actually a few years stumbled onto insider, before i started getting right into everything she had made. I had only heard the live, till i think a year ago when i found tom petty's studio album with her on it. I shall just go on to say that although the live insider doesn't sound much like a duet, i love her vocals on it, Tom's are dwarfed entirely to my ears.
I love this 2006 live version, strong yet tender and a gorgeous duet. I am SO looking forward to as many of these audio's and if lucky a video of each performed Insider. Fingers and all 99 toes are crossed!

its just gorgeous isn't it!! I only have audio from the charlotte show, im hoping to collect as many audio "insiders" as i can...
You know what i have my fingers and toes also crossed for "needles and pins".. she's pushed herself and done a brilliant "i need to know"... and just a couple of steps more and "needles and pins" is accomplishable!!
please oh please oh please.....

I know, seriously, whenever I think I have stevie figured out, She pulls something random and great.i.e. Sleeping angel, rose garden, if anyone falls, how still my love, beautiful child, sara, and now Insider. There still may be hope for storms and sisters of the moon yet.
