I don't feel it, though, and people say I don't look it, so it's okay....
I was supposed to spend the morning at my daughter's school as a volunteer for Beach Day, but they postponed it due to the stupid weather. :mad: Damn rain. And we've been out of town for a funeral the last few days, so it's just been a great week! (My stepmother's father passed away. I've known them for 28 years.)

Anyway, thanks again for the nice birthday wishes!

Let's count: How many people forgot my 40th birthday???? Ready?
My mom
My sister
My grandmother (but she's got Alzheimer's, so she's excused.)
But not you wonderful people!! THANK YOU!!

My hubby remembered but forgot to say "Happy Birthday" until about 2:00. Oh, and he didn't have so much as a card for my daughter to give me. But she was thoughtful enough to make one in school. She was disappointed about not having anything to give me. We did go out to a Japanese steakhouse for dinner. But my best friend came through and sent me an awesome video of her and her son and husband. I have seen them in over 4 years, and I cried like a baby watching it.

So it was an okay 40th. Thanks again, everyone!

Thanks Amber! What can I say? My family is effed up. :] But I'm going to NYC this weekend and gonna hit Canal Street/Chinatown. A little retail therapy always makes me feel better!!

Look at it this way, some people would rather hide under a rock and totally forget their 40th birthday -- so your family was just trying to help out! ;)
