I love Emmylou but I have to say I'm slightly underwhelmed by "All the Roadrunning' .It's really more of a Mark Knopfler solo album with Emmylou contributing a couple songs and singing harmony alot.I guess she has just been so brilliant since "Wrecking Ball' I expect her to walk on water every time.

I have only heard one song from the album, and I haven't listened much to Mark Knopfler in many years, so I don't know if I will be into the album. Of course I love "Desire" for the Emmylou contribution, even though she is only doing harmony. If Julie Miller isn't going to record again for a while, then I wish Emmylou would do a record of duets with Buddy Miller, who already sings with her so often.

I love her, too. She plays the annual bluegrass festival at GG Park in San Francisco every year, but I couldn't hear a word of her performance this year. I think she is gorgeous, talented, and with impeccable politics.

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is the name. Because it stopped being strictly bluegrass over the years.

You're really not missing anything. It was great at first, but now is so crowded that you can't hear the most popular performers. Dolly played there last year and we had to push our way to the front to hear, missing 1/2 the show. I think they should start charging admission; that would eliminate all the people that come just because it is a "happening" and wind up talking the whole time.

However, I have been able to catch some amazing performances on the smaller stages. I saw the Drive By Truckers this year and loved them, and also caught a riveting acoustic performance by Richard Thompson.
