Are any of you going this year? The Spring fest has Patty Griffin, and Los Lobos headlining. We are leaving for Camp Mather and the fest Thursday morning - I can't wait!

Are any of you going this year? Cool Eliza! Have a great time! Have you attended before? Do you pitch a tent or RV?

I have never been, although I went to the Kate Wolf fest last year, and that was great. We are bringing our car camping tent, but leaving the stove home and camp cooking stuff at home: I want to have time to enjoy music, and not do dishes.
I used to work Ren Faire and I was a Burning Man regular, so I already know I love to camp in big festivals, and then adding in all that music and jamming makes it perfect. In fact, my entire band is going, and there are activities for my son, and a lake to jump in, :] and....damn I am excited!

I would have to say that some of the better times of my life have been "camping" at music festivals...you are going to have a BLAST! :D If you can, obtain some photos of you all chillin and maybe eating a big strawberry tart...that would be cool!

 You could just bury your face in it (if that is of concern.)
If it is an appendage, just rub it on and we will love it! :wavey:

I am silly. Enjoy your holiday! I love music fests!

Then you only have Reggae on the River left. Call me, pick me up. Please.

I always want to go to those things, but I have to be honest - the camping/swimming/frolicking aspects are at least 50 % of the draw. Probably more like 75%. In my head, they are actually camping festivals with swimming and cool free music.
Have a great time, I know you will.

You know tons of kids go, and there's kids stuff all around, right? :D There's even a tiny kids stoner area! Buds for kids!

I'm totally kidding. Of course. There's actually a kids area away from everyone to minimize the bud exposure....

Exactly! Only make more puppets AFA. :p

You know what's funny, is that I only barely remember this from being little (no teevee in the house) but I saw it on I love the 70's, and I could't believe it. Was there ever a more stonery, hippy-ey, show? For kids?
*also, I never liked puppets or muppets*

only Liddsville was as stonery, and it was created by the same group. I like puppets, but not those big old puff-headed costume characters. I think the show might have already been in syndication even when I was a tot. I would love to step back in time and check out the creative team for those shows, in action!
