Im loving myself some Blondie @ the moment - "Curse of Blondie" has been consistantly in my CD player for weeks :D
I have to apologise to Josh - after giving "No Exit" quite a ribbing over @ sevenwonders. I bought it again and gave it a listen and, although not as good as "Curse" still has some great moments!
I have heard those two albums - plus 'AutoAmerican' which is turning out to be my least favourite of the three. Im waiting for Brandon to bring me a copy of "The Hunter" over from the US when he makes his big move - so Im looking forward to hearing that :D
Any other Blondie fans out there??

Im still listening to "No Exit" - it was an album I hated for a long time, but it is growing on me...

Blondie rocks my world -- granted, it doesn't take much, but "Good Boys" and "Union City Blue" are enough to make me...:blob2:
I'm pissed cuz I missed Blondie by like TWO DAYS in Vegas. Pissed I tell ya!!
I'll always love Call Me.

Yeah. But actually, almost all albums take a long time to grow on me, so maybe someday I'll like Curse better. No Exit is more accessible, catchy, and pleasantly melodic to me.
Also, I fell in love with Maria the first time I heard it on the Radio. ZZITBBR is a sublime vocal with amazingly whimsical and original lyrics (of course, right?). I love the rap song. etc.

Call me is my favorite forever. I have to miss them when they're playing here on the 27th. :( Well, not here, but at Konocti with The New Cars. either way, it sucks.

Aw, I'm sorry you're missing Blondie too. Although New Cars? No Rick Okasek? Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about that.
Oh, and I'm all over you're rigatoni comment. I feel much the same way about Penne. I've gotta great Penne a la Vodka recipe that'll kill ya.

So cool!! Im still waiting for them to come to NZ.
BTW - has anybody noticed in the booklet for "Curse of Blondie" that in the credits for "Good Boys" that it says "mucis by.." instead of 'music by.."
Sorry - just a random notation

I love me some Blondie alright. Going to see them next month.
I credit dear old Josh for hooking me on them. From there, we proceeded to convert all who did not already worship the Blondie here.
And Autoamerican is like my favorite album!

I also credit Josh for re-igniting my love for Blondie - all my Blondie albums had been sitting around without getting much play - but Josh started talking about what a great album 'Curse' was, and I remembered I had it, and it started from there

It was amazing!!! One of the best shows I've ever been to! On a random note, Deborah was wearing this weird green sweatsuit thingy. I expected her to wear something more like a little black dress.
Oh, and the New Cars were awesome too!

Glad you had a great time. I've heard nothing but great reports about Blondie/Debbie live. Good to hear the new Cars are cool - I actually heard one of their songs on the radio, and it was pretty decent. It had that Cars sound, too. I happen to be listening to the Cars right now.
From what I've heard you can never "expect" Debbie to wear anything...

The Curse and No Exit are great, but my favorite is Plastic Letters. Or at least for the moment it is. My Blondie phases change just as fast as my Stevie phases.

I once saw Debbie Harry & Stevie Nicks perform together. They were both magnificent, I loved 'em!

That would have been something to see. What songs did they do?

Cool! Sorry to keep asking stuff, but what was the date? Venue? Do you know if there is audio/video/pics of this?

I never knew they performed together, what year was this.
Both Blondie and the New Cars rocked sat night in LA.
Not all of The Hunter is rubbish. Danceway & WarChild are 2 of my favorite all time A+ Blondie songs!

I've always had a thing for the Blondie song Island Of Lost Souls. It's great, but not on the best ofs that I know of. I don't even know what album it appeared on. Also liked Atomic when it came out and remember the reaction when Rapture debuted.
Oh, I love Blondie. I've seen them live once at a small venue close to where I live. I was so close to Deborah Harry, I could have touched her, but instead I just blinded her with my flash taking a pictures of her & the band. They were great. Those who haven't seen them live just must.

I'm a sucker for anything that might be a joint collaboration between icons. Like this :
