I think it possibly could be legit. Chris Kable was her secretary. She originally worked for Dennis Wilson & then for Chris.

If four of us bought it(see, I'm making an assumption that it's going to go for a high price-truth be told- it probably won't), we could all have it 3 months at a time. April 1st, I have to ship it to you.

Even though I'd like to have it, I can't IMAGINE my friend's or family's reaction to seeing it on display!:o :o :o :o :o Well, I just couldn't. They just wouldn't understand my love for Christine. Not on display anyway!

Wow, that sounds like a cool item! What's it like?
It's just under a half hour long. It's called an EPK(electronic press kit). Koch Records put it together. It includes the footage from those video clips on her website & there's about an additional 5-6 minutes of extra footage that isn't on her site, mostly shots of Chris walking on the grounds of her estate, riding her scooter & a little bit of extra footage of her and Dan recording in her barn/studio. I've watched it about 10-15 times already. It's so cool to finally see that stuff on DVD, instead of the tiny Windows Media Player. That's the first time I'd seen it on eBay in 2 years. And, it only cost me $5, including shipping. Nobody else bid on it.:D

WOW! Both the jacket and the EPK sound SO cool! I don't find cool Chris stuff on Ebay. I don't look daily, but enough. I DID just get the Japan GAHOM 45. I had coveted that for a long time. Are there other Chris Japanese 45's? I still seek one LB one as well. The Holiday Road 45, but am unsure if there were more Chris Japan 45's. Surely there had to be one for LWSUH right? I wanna see a pic when you get the jacket. It's puuurty!

Argh... I'm so jealous! I was going to scoop that up when I first saw the post, but hesitated when I couldn't find a pic right away. That's definitely the same jacket in the pic that was posted. And it really looks like something Chris would wear. I have the complete outfit she wore to the 1987 MTV Music Awards when they were nominated for LIttle Lies. I also have a concert video where you can see her wearing the top... it shows it for only about 5 seconds. Are you going to wear the jacket? I can't wear the outfit I have because the skirt is way too skinny and the material is totally covered with royal blue glitter. I don't know where I'd wear it... even the boots have a wide band of glitter from top to bottom It's not so much that Chris owned the stuff as it is that these are great pieces for probably a fraction of the cost, even if they're old... it's "vintage" and that's cool too - Wonder if the seller plans on putting any more pieces up on Ebay. Hope you're happy with it when you get it. Post a pic if you can and wouldn't mind... we'd love to see it on you!

I thought about bidding on the jacket when I originally saw the listing, but I wasn't sure if it was legit, even though Chris Kable was mentioned in the listing. Then Homer asked if I had a picture of Chris wearing it. Sure enough, I had the picture on my hard drive and then I knew it had to be the real thing. I thought about it all day & then decided to bid on it. If I didn't have that picture, I never would have bid on it.
I'm not going to wear the jacket, but I'm certainly going to try it on. I'm probably about 5-6 inches shorter than Chris, so it's not going to fit. The seller told me that she had wanted to get it framed, but never got around to doing it. I'd love to get it framed, but I don't think I have enough wall space in my house to hang it. The seller also gave the history of this jacket. Right after the BTM tour ended, Chris donated the jacket(through Chris Kable) to an AIDS charity benefit. Someone bid on it at auction and won it. That person then donated the jacket 5 years later in 1996 to a Cystic Fibrosis benefit auction in Indianapolis. The eBay seller hosted that auction. She won the jacket at auction. The jacket has been hanging in her closet for the last seven years! I won't post any pictures of me wearing the jacket since I'm not really comfortable with something like that over the internet, but I definitely will post pictures of the jacket itself. It should be soon since she's mailing both of my packages out Monday afternoon via Priority Mail. She has other Chris/Fleetwood Mac auctions up right now. One is for two Chris posters, one is for some Fleetwood Mac posters, one is for Chris/Fleetwood Mac magazines & another is for Chris/Fleetwood Mac videos. Three auctions are already gone...the jacket, Fleetwood Mac tourbooks/books/clippings & another of Chris photos/memorabilia which she ended early for me.

I never got too much into collecting 45's, but I do have 5 Chris singles. I don't know if any Japanese 45's actually exist. I'm getting more stuff from this same eBay seller & there will be some 45's in the lot. If any Japanese 45's are in the lot, I'll let you know.:)

That's great that you have the story behind the jacket too. That makes it all the more precious. I wont my Chris outfit on Ebay too. The seller bought it at an auction also and it hung in their closet as well. The boots looked pretty worn on the bottom, so not sure if Chris wore them a lot or the seller did. I have one very blurry picture of the outfit taken at the awards show where she's posing with the band. I also have a paper print out picture of her and Stevie on the same night where she's wearing the outfit. I'm attaching a pic of it hanging in my room. I also have a Stevie blouse that I framed, originally. It cost a LOT of money to have it framed. It's not in the frame anymore. I took it out because it was so big there wasn't anywhere to put it where it would look good. That way I can wear the blouse once or twice too. :) I was going to post a pic of me wearing the Chris outfit, but it was taken before I started working out and it just doesn't look that great on me. My shape is more like Stevie's.

Of the 5 singles that I have, 3 are from the Christine Perfect era. But, they're all in Blue Horizon company sleeves, no picture sleeves unfortunately. In the picture from the auction that she ended early, there is a very cool looking picture sleeve for "I'd Rather Go Blind". It's probably from Germany or Holland. Chicken Shack was quite successful there around that time.

Thanks.. :) Do you ever go into your closet and commune with your stuff?! I do and I can't believe I'm admitting to it in public. heehee. Ya do have to leave some stuff out where you can see it, some of my favorites are hanging in the newly constructed music room... a pic with Waddy, a signed SA Stevie, a signed Chris, a large Stevie/Chris and a picture disc all from TITN.

Yeppers... I was convinced to frame it for "protection" - but since the blouse was made of such delicate lace, over several months time, it began to stretch around the collar. At first I thought it was my hyperactive imagination, but it bugged me so much I finally painstakingly removed it from the backing and frame. I tried it on again and it had stretched. So removing it from that expensive frame ended up being the right thing to do, I think. If I ever sell the blouse, the frame would be offered too. Oh and the other thing about those huge "shadowbox" frames... you have to sink several big bolts into the wall to mount it... maybe even with a 2x4. They weigh half a ton. Makes moving it from one wall to another rather tricky. Isn't it great to learn from others?!

I'd be afraid to wear it if I were you('course I'm a guy, too!), that I'd rub the magic off of it.
Then again, the previous owner might've worn it alot. If it were mine, I'd frame it, so I could see it when I entered the room(yeah, I know that's not your intention).
I really jealous of you Mary Anne, having something SO personal of Chris'.:o :o :o

I don't know what kind of fabric it is, but it is very, very thin. That's why I had to be extremely careful when I wore it. The eBay seller's picture made it look pink, but the color is definitely red. It also looks red in that picture of Chris wearing it. It IS small across the waist. She must be very skinny around the waist. I'm not overweight myself, but it is slightly small around the waist even for me.:D The sleeves are also a bit long too since Chris has about 5 or so inches on me. But, all in all it does fit a bit better than I thought it would. The shoulder pads are bit annoying though.:D

I got the jacket yesterday. I just took a few pictures of it this afternoon. It even has the shoulder pads still attached.:D
Did it have a couple of cigarette ends in the pocket?
It looks very cool by the way

Actually, the jacket doesn't have any pockets.

cigarette "ends" - I love it! :p That's one thing I dig about this board... our great friends across the pond. Love reading their posts! In the U.S. we call cigarette ends "butts" - perhaps not the same thing as "arse" though.

We call cigarettes "fags" which you may find amusing!
On more than one occasion I've nearly described Christine as having "a glass of wine in one hand and a fag in the other"

Yes definitely, Chris is/was a tall skinny one. The sleeves on the top I have are long also. Oh and the shoulder pads.... girl, they could poke an eye out!! ;) So when you store your jacket be sure to use a padded hanger. If you put it in any kind of garment bag (recommended) be sure it is the 100% linen kind so it can breathe... no plastic or the threads will "melt" - check it once or twice a year to be sure the shoulder pads are positioned correctly on the hanger. Once those buggers go cattywumpus the whole thing gets stretched out and crazy. Also, try not to store it next to another garment or at least not where it will get moved around a lot... any friction and the glitter rubs off. There's so much glitter on the outfit I have, I don't worry too much about it. I used to think if I wore it anywhere I'd leave a puddle of glitter in whatever seat I sat in. :D ... then the bottom would be noticeably devoid of glitter.

It is funny! I knew that "fags" meant cigarettes, someone told me that one many years ago. I tried to use it in everyday conversation, like when asking for a cigarette, but it didn't go over so well. :D I love it when you all post using your native words, don't change them! Next time I smoke a cigarette with some friends I'm purposefully going to say "where's the ashtray, I've got to put this cigarette end out" - heh, they probably won't bat an eye.

Now that is funny. I'm not sure what sort of reaction you'd have gotten here if you'd done that. You would have had to translate it a bit.;) :D

Thanks for the tips. It is on a padded hanger now & I do intend to store it in a garment bag. I had thought about a plastic bag, but I'll go with a 100% linen bag instead. Right now, the jacket has one side of my closet all to itself. I have a pretty big closet, so that shouldn't be a problem. Thanks again for all the tips!:)
