Tusk doc question [Archive]

I just got a copy of the Tusk documentary yesterday and was wondering, in the scenes at Mick's house, who is the woman with long brown hair playing with his kids by the pool? Is that Sara (this was not long after his and Stevie's split and fits into that timeline)? Or maybe Jenny was visiting the kids? Or maybe another woman?

Poor John barely got any face time in that whole thing. :distress: For awhile there, it seemed like "the Mick Fleetwood show"! It was nice to see Christine playing on the boat, though, and the part with Angel in the studio is still my favorite. :nod:

It's Jenny, I believe. Most of that footage was probably shot in '78, maybe '79 so they were still married at that point (I think?)

You think so? If I am remembering correctly, Mick and Stevie got together at the end of the Rumours tour (which would be '77 or '78) and dated either a few months or a whole year depending on whose account you read, ending after he ditched her in Hawaii for her friend Sara, whom he eventually married. I have no idea if he and Jenny had split prior to all that (I know things were rocky in his marriage, too, during the making of Rumours), or if they stayed together for a few more years, or if he married Sara right away... :shrug:

I think it's Jenny too. The woman appears to be the mother of the two girls; she is playing with them in a very motherly way.

That's what made me ask in the first place. :) I thought it was an awfully "motherly" type of bond for a new stepmom to have formed with the kids already, so it made me wonder who it was. I've never seen Jenny, and seen only one or two pics of Sara. I don't know if I could ever pick her out of a line-up, but I remember thinking she had very striking eyes. Anybody have pics of Sara to post?

I never really gave this too much thought. But one thing that stuck out in my head about that particular scene by the pool is that I always wondered why her own daughter would act like that to her(assuming it was Jenny). She literally "pushes" her back into the house. Of course you don't want to be angry and upset in front of the cameras, so you just pick up the child with a smile on your face, go inside, and then BEAT THE **** OUT OF THE LITTLE BRAT(kidding). So that kind of behavior would make sense if the woman coming out of the house was Sara, and Jenny's little girl just didn't want her around. From what I remember, Sara is a very pretty model-like figure and Jenny is kind of homely. That woman may be Sara. REVELATION! :shocked: :laugh:

I'm nearly 100% sure that isn't Jenny--their 'second marriage' didn't last long. It could be Sara though.

I don't think John wanted much face time in that; he hates that stuff. Even just the bit he is in w/ LB, being silly-- 'yeah john ,we like it' etc-- after they are done laughing, you can see such 'oh god i hate this camera on me' anxiety on his face when reaches for LB's drink.

I do have sara's playboy pics but i don't think i'll be posting them LOL. if i get a chance one day, i'll crop out the naughty parts so you can see the face; looks just like the chickie on the tusk doc IMO.

BTW Jenny IMO was not homely! :woohoo: She and her sister Patti were quite pretty back in the day.....

But I agree about how Amy did not seem to want Sara around and pushed her back in the house. :p

I have to look at the Tusk Doc again. I think that Mick and Sara did not get married until the late 80s but I could be wrong. I have both the Tusk Doc and Mick's wedding on DVD. I'll make some screen shots later so we can compare.

I have never seen the doc, but I don't think you're thinking of Jenny, who was pretty enough to be photographed for Vogue. Although, she was a boozer for a time, that may have detracted from her appearance...so who knows?

oh crap... i have the tusk dvd and haven't watched it all... i didn't even realise i hadn't till i read this! I think i've only watched the angel bit.... and i flicked through looking for more stevie stuff but found none....

Ok guess what im about to do???? Go watch my tusk dvd!!!!
