Does exactly what it says in the title thread, this one.

Anyone got any cool pictures of Le Wachtel for me? From concerts or whatever.

To feed my new-found interest in the man. As you can imagine my family are thrilled to add yet another name to the list. ;)

Not too clear, but pics taken last week. Enjoy. I'll try and dig some of up of he and Nicks. I just found some the other day that were fab. Ye olde days shots =0)

I can never get many pics to load, so didn't wanna push my luck trying all at once. lol. The last one is of Brett, but oh well. I have some on my phone also. Have yet to learn how to get them to the PC.

I made some screen shots of Waddy from the movie 1978 movie FM. He was part of Linda Ronstadt's band at the time. Photobucket is down right now but when it does hopefully come up I will post the pics.

PS: If anyone has a video of this show, I would love to work out a deal to get a copy. It was the first (and maybe the last) time I was in front for the Edge Walk and got to shake Stevie's hand. It's been a dream of mine to see that moment on screen.

Damn Waddy was SOOOOOOOOO young in those "FM" Movie shots. Funny how the hair NEVER changes. No thinning, nodda. heehee

And yes Tiff, nice of me to post them, but failed to have sent em to ya. D'ope! lol. Will get the others off my phone stat, and during my 2 days off, will continue to thrill the Waddy...AND...Brett fans.:wavey:

Thanks... too bad the flash made us look like ghosts, but it's a great memory nonetheless.

Funny, I thought the same exact thing about the FM shots. That man totally defies nature. He doesn't look as though he's aged much at all over the years. Good jeans... I mean genes. ;) :D

Here are some pics of WAddy in Newcastle 2006. These were taken by Brisharry (harry) and i think he would be happy for me to put them up (fingers crossed). Harry was lucky enough to run inti him twice (the second time i was with him) and harry got to have a decent conversation with him. Waddy certainly doesn't look or act like a famous person. As i recognized him as we were walking towards each other he is someone i would normally not walk to close to.... :laugh:

He really is a sweet man. Before the show in Santa Barbara/TISL, he was standing about 100 ft away from my friend and I. We were standing around like everyone else, waiting for the show to start and buying t-shirts, etc. I kept looking over and noticing Waddy. We kept catching each other's glances (probably because of that dress I was wearing... it was just as sparkly as any Las Vegas strip billboard!! LOL.) Anyway, I motioned for him to come over near where my friend and I were standing. The crew and band were behind that "fence" you can see Waddy leaning his arm on in the pic of us. He didn't hesitate for one second. He came right on over there and posed happily for that picture. I asked if he could get us in for the meet and greet afterwards and he said he would certainly try, then told us where to meet him after the show. We kept looking for him but must have missed him or something... :( Lenny also posed for a picture, but he was not as enthused about it as Waddy. Honest to God, I cannot remember if I said much more to Waddy because I get this crazy star struck thing that is just ridiculous... it makes me so I can't say much, if anything at all. I HATE it!!

Sorry for going on, I just wanted to emphasize that Waddy did seem very personable when I met him that day. I will cherish that picture forever. :) I can imagine how you people that have a picture with Stevie must feel.

You know, I'm not sure. I don't know when he & Waddy wrote Werewolves of London, but I think the album it was on (Excitable Boy) came out in '78. That microphone looks pretty "vintage" and Waddy appears a little bit younger than he does in the Stevie videos of the early 80's, so if I had to guess I would say it was a couple years earlier. Great moment, though.
