My favourite album is "Erotica" - such a over-looked classic :distress: Every song on this album is elite...
"Confessions.." is a close second - every song on this album could be a hit
Whats your favourite Madonna album??

My favorite albums are Erotica and Bedtime Stories -- both from my favorite Madonna era.
However, I have enjoyed most of her albums in varying degrees, with the exception of American Life, which I don't even own anymore.

I LOVE American Life - really great album  :D
My favourite Madonna is also the early 90's sexual period of her career  I don't own any of the 1980's Madonna albums...

I like it, but don't love it. Little Star is the reason I bought the album and pretty much the only song I listen to...besides The Power of Goodbye and Shanti/Ashtangi

The whole album is fantastic. "Frozen" is the reason I bought the album - the whole album is amazing though...

It's good. "Ray of Light" is one of her best singles, ever. But as Towie would assert, "Candy Perfume Girl" sucks.

I really love Ray of Light, but Like a Prayer is right up there for me, too. Right now, I still can't seem to put Confessions down! I think I've been listening to it since it was released!

I actually like Music I think...but I prefer 1984-1991 era Madonna...so the early stuff like "Angel" and "Get into the Groove" are my faves.

I actually love American Life. It is Madonna's "Tusk"! Misunderstood now, but in ten years, people will call it a masterpiece... Trust me. :)

Some of you people are so young. Honestly the album where EVERY song sounds like a #1 hit is True Blue. Theres not 1 non hit sounding song on it. Minus "Cant Stop", her Who's That Girl materail is SO overlooked, forgotten, and underated!
I prefer the 80s Madonna ofcourse. She hasnt put out an awesome album since Like A Prayer in my book. With the last 4 albums, its like she quits after what 10 tracks. Its like ok we got 10, who cares if half of them suck.
How one can think that bull shiit dreadful boring Drowned World 2001 tour of hers is better than the 1990 Blond Ambition I dont know? To each his/her own!

Erotica is my favourite even though it loses its way by the last quarter of the album. My second favourite would have to be I'm Breathless. I like that it's not like anything else she's done.
Ray Of Light would easily be her worst album in my opinion. There's only one really stellar song (Drowned World/Substitute For Love), and I think it has some of her worst songs on it (Mer Girl, To Have And Not To Hold, Little Star). I do like Candy Perfume Girl though.

I remember when True Blue came out. It was around my fathers birthday, and he is such a big fan, so we bought him True Blue on vinyl! I've been singing True Blue all morning, and my daughter is suprised it's a Madonna tune! I'll have to play it for her later. Thanks for the reminder of this album... it truely is wonderful!

yeah, i'm still here, i just had a few rough weeks with some extra working hours, due to my ongoing tendency to live more extravagantly than i can actually afford, but i'm okay now. :xoxo:

... in order
Erotica
Bedtime Stories
Like A Prayer
All the rest? I hardly listen to them in their entirety. "Madonna" is classic Madonna however, those versions run too long. The edits that ended up on "The Immaculate Collection" are much better. "Like A Virgin"? Actually, I do enjoy that whole album but I'd have to be in an 80's mood to hear that. Love me some "Angel" and "Shoo Be Do." "True Blue" is actually pretty good too, but I really did not like her image during the 86-87 era. "Love Makes The World Go 'Round" is a forgotten gem. "Like A Prayer" is what made me a Madonna fan. Love "Express Yourself", "Keep It Together" and "Promise To Try" is very beautiful. Love all the tracks from both Erotica and BS. "Ray Of Light" eh, never got into the "enlightened" Madonna. I enjoyed "Music" better but not by much. To this day, I still do not have the "American Life" CD, but I have liked all of the singles I've heard, AL, Hollywood, Love Profusion, Nobody Knows Me and Nothing Fails. I have a feeling I'd really like the CD. Oh, and I love the mixes on the 9 track CD that came after it. The name escapes me right now. And as far as COAD, there are some gems. My favorites are "Jump" and "Forbidden Love." But the CD as a whole, eh, I find it too heavy.

Don't forget Causing A Comotion too. It went to #2 and had no video. Hanky Panky never had a video either and it went to #10.
Yeah growing up in Nashville Angel was a HUGE radio staple well into the early 90s. I heard that on the radio growing up more than LAV and Material Girl. Borderline always got the most play off the 1st album. (In Nashville) Cherrish got the most play from LAP.

The Immaculate Collection. I feel in love with Madonna when I saw Lucky Star. By Borderline, I was hooked. If I had to pick just one favorite song it would have to be La Isla Bonita.
