That was in August and may those tapes NEVER resurface - because if there was ever ANY reason to bitch out Brian (LiquidBlue) that was it as he totally backed out of singing SB so I just HAD to sing it :] :]

While true, I can carry a tune, I believe after the 95 cocktails I had that night, it might have been time to decline the mic. Oh well, sometimes "what the hell" is the best answer.

You did wonderful that night! I can't believe after your 95 cocktails you were able to do some twirl as good as you did without hurling.
I have to agree with Paula, those too were some of the best times of my life.

Just got done strolling down memory lane myself, listening to the cd.
Great time.

"When she did "How Still My Love"...I...I...just wanted to have sex!"
A quote from someone who knows who they are, right after the show.
If I mention her name she will kill me.

You just wanna PULL that hair, just yank it & yank it!

WelshWitch, you take such close, clear, beautifully framed & composed shots. Truly you rank with Tiffany & John Ninney himself for framing & compositional interest in your concert shots.

Well, thank you David. :) However, Photobucket does not do that photo any justice. Actually that photo looked so much better on the back of my camera but I am positive that I formatted the card.

That you were in any way reluctant to sing Stand Back is the greatest lie ever perpetrated on mankind.
In fact, I'm thinking what really happened is that you pushed Brian down, hit 'im in the kidney, grabbed the mic, and ran onstage.

I was just in Vegas a couple of weeks ago and was cursing the Caesars Palace Celine Dion sign, boo-hooing about "why can't Stevie be playing again?"

Last summer was one of the highlights of my life; I can't believe so much time has gone by.

Thanks for posting the memories... maybe Stevie will do a couple Vegas shows again this October to get warmed up a little for the alleged FM tour in 2007??
I LOVE the close up pick of the Edge walk. I remember touching that velvet sleeve of her's as I kinda helped her over one of the monitors.

That sounds much more like it. I'm inclined to believe Amber's thoughts on how it really went down. :)

I had the BEST time! I went out on Tuesday and went to the first 3 shows. It was cool becaue I stayed at the Motel 6 right across the street from the MGM and for 3 nights it was onlt $135 total tax included. Then on Friday I checked out and my friend Torri from Virginia let me put her things in her room at the Alladin until the end of Friday's show. Then I went and got my stuff andflew home on the Redeye. So basically I got to be there for free on Friday sort of! The definite highlight for me was Wednesday nights show. I had cheap seats and I was surveying the crowd to see if there were any open ones down by the stage, and I noticed that on the left side of the far right section there were 2 aisle seats open in the third row!:blob1: :blob2: I decided to wait until If ANyone Falls before I tried to get down there. The seats stayed open and so I started down during the song. As I got down to the lobby with a stroke of luck the doors to the exact section I needed to go to were opened fpr another person to get through. Without hardly thinking I went right in behind her and strolled right down to the open seats and was able to stay there until you know what. After I got to shake Stevie's hand I moved out of the way so that this shorter lady behind be could get up front. SHe was able to shake Stevie's hand too, and after the show she thanked me for letting her up there. I figured it was the least thing I could do. I just had the bes time too on Thursday the off day. Spent ALL DAY just walking through all the big casino's on the strip. Oh and of course the first 2 days I got a chance to hang out with Lori(paperflowers) one of my best friends in the world! The party Tuesday after the show at Margaritaville was fun as hell too. I know I met alot of ledgies there, but I hadnt yet signed on, so that was too bad. But it was an experience I'll never forget!

Thanks for posting B&B Paula. All my dvds from Vegas are in storage and so its been a while since I've seen that. I loved the Tuesday performance but when she sang it Wednesday it almost literally brought me to my knees. I'm such a goob, I was still crying after the show was over. Then when I got the audio from the show and listened I cried again. What a magical 2 nights.

It was in the borgata after the show with my Jan who knows Alex. That was a great show although I was disappointed that they had barriers up and we couldn't get to the stage especially since I was in the front row!

I saw this thread when it came out, and didn't wanna post, cause I thought OMG, has it been that long already.

Now, today, feeling melancholy for no apparent reason, I pulled out the boots, and the one DVD show I have thanks to dear sweet Paula, and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sad now. (but in a good way :o )

Each time I re-think about it, I find myself saying "the best time of my life" thusfar. Is that pathetic? I've had many a great times w/ friends, family, and spouse, yet in my 34+ years this was it. THAT MOMENT that you'll see on your way out the door of life.

So now that I have gotten all Hallmark, and emotionally destroyed the thread w/ a bummer recant......:sorry: HOLY EFFIN' COW that was a great 5 days! DAMN!

I LOVED that time we all had - though I was there (with Goldie and Sulamith) only for the last two days - so I missed the first crew!

The whole thing from the incredible Bellgio experience (rrom, spa, shopping, museam) to lunch at The Palm, to getting like tenth row tickets the day before the final concert when we were not supposed to go at all that night, to hanging with Amber, Towie, Tiff, Patti, and many others!!!!! The whole thing was just great.

And - though different, I had an eually as great a time in Aug.

Can I just say I love you guys??

I just got back from Vegas a couple of days ago and I was mega reminiscing (sp?) ...really wish she was there again. I even went to Madame Tussaud's hoping against hope there would be a wax Stevie there. Of course there wasn't, so I dirty danced with was Beyonce instead. Not the same. *sigh*
