Inxs played last night to a sold out crowd..in fact security had to work double time to try and stop some from sneaking in..
The crowd were on their feet counting the seconds to homeboy came out on stage..and once he hit the stage,I don;t think most of the crowd ever sat back down..JD and the boys really rocked..That boy drips with sex appeal..yum...and who knew one playing with a microphone stand could be such a turn on..whoo hoo..Move over Mick ..JD the Nova Scotia lad is taking over..
Security was really tight..and they were being anal about cameras..so I was only able to get a couple ,as I made my way to back stage..had to sorta blend in with the crowd on the way..But anyway..if you like INXS ..I think you will really enjoy the show...

They are still a good band..really..I had forgotten how much I used to enjoy their music ..but after seeing them last night I need to dig out my old cds...
JD Fortune took Michael's place David..Inxs the remaing band members had a reality tv show last year to find a replacement singer..(something along the lines of American Idol) and a lad from Nova Scotia Canada won..and I have to say I am really impressed with him..I had watched the tv show and then seeing him up close and performing last night..Wheeww..I marched right in and told my boss I was terribly upset with him..:( Of course I told him ,because I wasn;t working JD's dressing room...  I had to work with the drummer..sniff sniff...But seriously the lad moves across that stage and into the crowd like he has been performing for years....:blob1: :blob1: Its a must see show

I am going to see them in June in Houston...maybe Austin too, but definitely Houston. I would go see them in Dallas, but my mom wouldn't be interested and I don't know if my friend would wanna see them. Maybe I should ask her, huh? LOL

Anyways, great pics, glad you got a few. I despise camera Nazis.

Whoa, wait a sec, you got to work with Jon Farriss? I LOVE that guy! Lucky you!!!
Anyway, I got good tix for their show here in Calgary at the end of the month and I'm looking forward to it. Inxs was my favourite band for the longest time (before FM took the honoured top spot) so really, it wouldn't matter who was singing, I just wanna see those guys play.

So Moonchilde, where did you see them at? I liked the old INXS, but I'm not sure about this INXS. I mean, I saw Rock Star & I saw JD win, but he wasn't my favorite & he seemed kind of stuck on himself, you know, kind of conceited & that everyone was beneath him. I'm still on the fence about them. He is so much younger than the rest of the members of the band.

Nice pics though.

Lee I saw them on Monday night in Moncton NB..and Tuesday night in Halifax Nova Scotia..He is alot younger then the rest of the guys.but somehow they seem to all just fit ...He really made it a point to show his love for them ..and putting the spotlight on them..Last nights show was incredible..being as JD was performing in the province he comes from..He seemed pretty down to earth to me ,but most maritimers are ..so hopefully he won;t let the stardom go to his head to much..

Okay, so I just saw INXS last night and it was a fantastic show!

I was skeptical, I'll admit at first, as I was a major fan during the Kick/X era. J.D. was in a leg brace as he was in an accident that day, but still hit the stage and turned it out. I was on my feet the entire time, singing and carousing like the ass that I am. I finally got to see my first favourite band (yes, before FM) and even without the Hutch, it was a fantastic show. Go see it if you have the chance!

From everyone I know who has gone to see this, they say the show kicksass. I am happy to read that Moonchilde, RED have gone and that Christy will be. Christy, if JD isn't in a photo with you, I will say I may have a bit of disappointment, as you have a way of caputuring yourself with some hotties!! JD is a must! :D

I have been twisted the past week to go or not to go. I had been checking for tickets at ticketmaster for the various seats at cali venues - they all sucked.

I checked just now and pulled ROW 2 underneath JDs mic at a smelly 12000 seat casino arena!
My momma raised no dummy - I took the seats! :]

If he is as HOT as they say he is in person, I may be carried out via stretcher with one of these ------> :D
(preferrably with JD on-top performing mouth-to-mouth while providing CPR manuevers on my chest!)

LOL

Not really :xoxo: , but dayum, woman!! CONGRATS on the 2nd row tickets!! You WILL be taken out on a stretcher because I have a story to share. One of my fellow Justin fans/friends got up to the front. At one point in the show, JD went up to her and lifted his shirt and she......LICKED HIS BELLY. Yeah. You'd better have 911 on speed dial.

I thought hearing Don't Change would be kinda tough...like if Stevie were to sing Songbird, but it was really great. Loved..LOVED the show.

I enjoyed an excellent show last night! It was a bit of a putt to the venue, but I was pleased to find the event was held outdoors and held only 12000. To my surprise, Scott Stapp (formerly w/ Creed) opened for INXS! He will be at your show too Christy!

I sat in my seat before the show and made my bracelets. As soon as Scott came on, everyone went to the stage so I never sat in my seat again!! :] I was pressed to the stage for 2.5 hours dancing to frenzy!

Scott and his band were amazing. His lead guitarist gave me a pick (he is a cutie!) INXS was incredible. I am a fan from the early days so I loved every minute of it. Christy, JD was so busy humping Kirk on stage and giving Kirk's sax a handjob, it was hard to miss that he likes boys. I was terrified of having my camera picked-off during search, that I left in the car. I shouldn't have been worried as security turned to be very lax. I would have gotten some amazing shots but they were meant to be etched in my memory instead. JD has the hugest eyes I have ever seen...he is more gorgeous in person. He dropped from the stage and walked the front. When he stopped in front of me, what impressed me most was his deep penetrating eyes and his soft skin...yes, Christy, I stroked his bare upperarms. :]

There are only several dates left, so if they are in your area (Diego, Vegas, Phoenix, Albuquerque, Auistin, Houston and Dallas) and you have a chance, I would highly recommend this show.

Christy, JD said we were the best audience they have had the entire tour. I would be curious if he says this at every venue. Please listen for that and let me know. I want you to know that whereever your seats are, JD and the band spend a lot of time all over the stage (center, left and right.) The only one we didn't see much of was Jon Farriss as he was behind his drumkit which is a downright shame as he is gorgeous! One of my favorites, Kirk, was his usual humorous self. I do also recommend the purchase of the tourbook...it is a welcome addition to my collection.

JD was hot and sweaty...he loves to remind us all throughout the show how hot and sweaty we all are!
SEX on a stick he is (skinny!) and he smokes way too much! YUMS he is gorgeous, and sings great too. ;)

Touched his bare upperarm....beyotch.

Lucky!! I'm in the lower balcony (sort of) in the 2nd row, so probably won't get to touch that gorgeous man. :( AHHHH...ALWAYS take your camera, no matter WHAT! Don't ever listen to the no camera BS! LOL At least you had an amazing time and got to really enjoy the show. Sometimes, I think I worry too much about taking pics, but I want that memento in hard copy form because my memory SUCKS.

Yeah, wish he'd quit smoking. I think he was trying, but gave up, obviously. LOL He doesn't like boys (well, I have no idea if he's bi or not) that I know of. He's just very sexual. He was dating Estella Warren for awhile (girl from one of their videos), I read. They broke up recently though.

CONGRATS again on scoring that amazing seat too. Glad you had an amazing time!!

Hey, did JD still have the leg brace? He had been in an accident before a Calgary show and he was in a brace, hobbling around, but still gave a good performance.
I got a "thumbs up" and a smile from Kirk, which was enough for me, plus an arm brush from JD when he hopped off the stage. Quite a show, I'm glad you enjoyed it too.:D

I did notice him grimace when lifted back to the stage after the walkthru. Kirk is so cool...he is my favorite...I just love his :mug:!

It is easy to forget little details...such as JD dramatically wiping the wetness from his mic and stand with a cloth...JD and Kirk spraying us with Kirk's waterspritzer, JD tossing his drink to the heavens, JD sharing cigerettes and drinks...an overall BLAST! If I lived my life 100% impulse, I would be in Vegas on Friday. :woohoo:

Okay, honestly, given the choice, who would you take - Tim or Kirk? This is awesome, I haven't asked anyone that question in, like 15 years.

Keep a book by your bed and jot things down as they come to back to you, even if it's vague or brief. This helps hugely in remembering your dreams - I used to do this for the longest time but don't need to anymore as I pretty much remember everything. You'll find that things will slowly start to come back to you over the course of the day too. Sometimes I'll go an entire half day before hearing a song and remembering I had a Stevie dream. And then it all floods back.

Forgive me for my lateness with sketches, my work has been mad. Finally back from all the trips and am getting my life in order. No worries, it's all fresh still.

Yes...seems I not only stroked his shoulders but managed a handful as well....I love buttonflys! :D

Here are a couple of videos from that night (obtained from a fansite.) These were taken from center-right. I was at center-left (Kirk!) so I was hopeful to have obtained a video from that standpoint but so far none have surfaced.

So if you're all Michael all the time, then what's your favourite era? Least? I only have a least....when Paula had a grip on him. I am awaiting some other footage from the shows and will let you know when I upload to youtube. Which date did you attend so I can try to locate vid of your specific show?

Yes, tonight is the night. I just spent about an hour and a half...trying to figure out what to wear. I tried on a really cute outfit, but ultimately...went with...what I always wear to every event.....jeans and a tee shirt. BUT...the tee shirt says Australia on it and has a cute lil koala bear. :) I'm representin' the band's history tonight. If I had something with the Canadian flag on it...I'd wear that too, but I don't. :(

Question for anyone that's seen them..how far does JD go into the crowd? Will he stay mostly up front or go up the aisle toward the back? I am in the 2nd row of the lower balcony thing and if I see him coming my way, I'm gonna go up to the rail and try to feel him up..er..I mean, touch him. ;)

OH, BTW..this won't be their last American tour show. :distress: I read at the INXS site, that they've added Red Rocks and 2 shows in California in July. Ah well.

Yes, tonight is the night  Cali shows???!!! You've just made my day!!! <img src="http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a152/BTFLCHLD/studsmatta.gif"> I will be off in about two minutes checking that out further! ;)

Excellent your shirt! As to how far up he will walk the aisle I am not sure on this...hopefully others will be able to advise. However I know for my show, he only walked between the stage and the crowd up front in one straight line. I do know that while he was focused on the frontal crowd, he was also very much into looking outward to the back as well.

I think you need to get a spot/strobe light...shine that koala up! Come on...you know you've room in your purse! While I am checking on the cali shows, I will come back shortly with maybe some info on the walk of larger venues.

I was wrong..it was on their MySpace page..not the website. Now, I don't know who runs the MS page. It looks official, but no clue. It says under upcoming shows July 2 Red Rocks and 2 shows in Berkeley July 10 at the Greek Theatre. Unless it's put on the official site...I am not sure about those dates, but they are more than likely right.

Dang, I love Red Rocks! Saw Keith there last September. :)

FYI Christy reports are that JD is in a lot of pain and having surgery on Sunday. Here a snipit of a barnyard experience:

About the show... OMG, you can't even picture how HOT JD's "Taste it" act is until you see it in person... I like, needed a towel. The weather cooperated somewhat, and for an outdoor venue in Tx in June, it wasn't too bad. But when you are two feet away from the hotness that is JD Fortune, you are just going to be hot. Anyway, every song was completely hot... the guys had a lot of energy and played to the crowd a lot. At the beginning, JD passed out cups to the crowd which he filled with champagne.
A little boy gave JD a sign that said "we voted for you", and JD gave the boy his hat, which was very sweet.
The girl next to us gave JD a set of Mardi Gras beads with devils on them during "Devil Inside", which he wore, then threw into the crowd. They were caught by 448'er Quest, who, being the cool 448 chick that she is, returned them to their rightful owner.
At the end of the show, JD looked genuinely impressed with all the love the crowd was giving them, and he commented that this was the best audience they have had all tour. (says that every show, maybe?)
He said "it sounds like there is 100,000 f*cking people in here!"
We held up a sign that said "Texas is HOT for INXS"... all band members seemed to like it, but JD kind of went out of his way not to look at it. Maybe really is tired of all the signs.
After the show, we asked Quest (who went to the meet and greet) if they said where they are staying, and she said yes, ******. So we headed over there after the show, and sat in the bar. They had a large section labeled "reserved", so we figured the guys would be there. They were.
We looked over, and JD and Tim were checking in. We had intended to be very cool and collected, very "un"stalker-like. However, that plan was out the door when Stacy jumps off the couch and walks straight over there to them. (hello, let the man set his LUGGAGE down) But JD was very cool. Stacy had on a necklace that has angel wings, with matching earrings, and he says right away, "hey, I like your necklace and earrings". He was hoarse, and in very much pain. I was wearing a dogtag with JD's picture on it, and it hung right between my breasts... he reaches over and scoops it up to look at it, and says "this is cool, too... and cool shirt." (my peaches t-shirt!) We asked about surgery, and he said he has surgery this Sunday. We could tell he was very tired and not feeling well, so we left it at that and didn't bother him again. No picture. But we took pics with Kirk, Andrew, and Jon. Jon, BTW, has the SOFTEST hands in the world... like a baby! Extremely sexy, sexy man. Everything about him is soft... his hands, his voice, his eyes. Stacy and I are totally in love with him. If we weren't b-4, we definately are after this.
Oh, get this... after NOT using our camera all night, we get to the bar, and the battery is dead! Don't let this happen to you, girls! The wonderful Natvtxn took photos for us... 448 is packed with the best people ever.
Jon's lovely wife, Carrie (sp?), offered to take our pic with Jon, and having his arm around me was the defining moment it my life... it's all downhill from here, baby!! Did I forget to mention how SEXY he is?!
Oh yes, the re-cap... we didn't stay long at the bar, everyone was so friendly that we just felt fullfilled, and satisfied. Let me just say what a cute personality Kirk has... so friendly, so out-going. Cute. A lot of people were mad because of what they veiwed as JD's "stand-offishness", (is that a word?), but we understood. He is hurting, and my heart hurt to look at him. He put on one hell of a show, though, and didn't let the pain stop him. Let's all send our prayers and good vibes his way for a safe surgery and speedy recovery.

I know at my show he his face total wince being lifted back to stage...dependent on the stage arrangement he may not even come down...but knowing him he will. Gosh I feel for him...he is kicking everyone's ass at his knee's expense. Anyways...hope this all gets better.

I wish he'd take it easy on that knee!! :( All he has to do is stand there and sing and he's sexy...there's no need to go crazy. LOL

I think that venue in Austin is called The Backyard.

When I saw them back in May, JD was in a full leg brace and hobbled around on stage but still managed to turn it out. He jumped off the stage and walked down the far left aisle, RIGHT by me..and about 12 rows deep (I was in the 8th row).

Does anyone know what he actually did to his knee? I really commend him for hitting the satge, particularly that night, the day after it happened. Although he was in rough shape, sadly, the buttons on his fly were all in place.:distress:

Yeah, it's the Backyard. A great venue, but I prefer only going to GA shows there. I thought about going to INXS until I discovered they were doing reserved seating.

Wow. I don't know where to begin. I just got home, took a bath, and now I can write my review. Okay, the Camera Nazis were in full force, got dangit. I did manage to get some blurry-a$$ shots, but a couple are decent. The damn lady came over to me and goes "No cameras." and I am all "What? No cameras?!" even though it clearly stated on every damn thing out there No Cameras. LOL Screw those beyotches. Anyways, she watched me like a hawk and my mom seems to think they put a plant right in front of us. The guy kept looking at me and behind him. Not sure if he actually was a plant or whatever. I managed to whip out my camera a couple of times during the show and then at the VERY end and got a couple of okay shots.

Sigh....anyway. Damn the man.

This will be stream of consciousness, so bear with me. I'm tired. Things I remember:

Someone (the roadie?) gave Jon a watermelon...you read right...a watermelon. He took it, held it over his head and smashed that mother on the stage. LOL! JD picked up a chunk and threw it into the crowd. Uh oh...hitting a lady. He saw what happened and told the roadie to take her backstage. DAMN! If I had known she was going backstage, I would have yelled "OMG, my eye!!!" even though I was not even in the general vicinity of the lady who got hit. LOL

Someone up front brought 2 signs that said "Save a horse, Ride an Aussie." and held it up. JD took it, showed it to Jon and put it on the drum riser. Heh. Their other sign said "Save a Farriss, Ride a Pengilly." BWAH!!

3-4 people took cowboy hats and JD kept taking them, wearing them for a few minutes, then giving them back to the owner.

Someone brought a Canadian flag. JD took it and stuffed it into his back pocket. Kept it there until it fell out and he gave it to a roadie or something. Before he did though, he waved it all around Tim. Heh. Another person brought an American flag, and he stuck it on the mic stand for a minute or two. And yet another person brought an Australian flag and he held that up. I was wearing a shirt that said Australia on it and has a koala bear. Representin'.

JD came out towards the end of the show.....smoking pot. LOL My mom was all "Is he smoking pot?" and I'm all "Probably. He's a smoker, but I don't know if he's a pot smoker." Then, he goes "I don't care if they arrest me. This is a blend of Canadian Australian stuff." or something like that. So, yeah, pot.

Sang Amazing Grace with the backup gals. AWESOME! Sang the Yellow Rose of Texas and the Eyes of Texas are Upon You. He also said that we were the best audience of the tour. That's also what he said in Houston, I think. LOL

OMG. This one chick came kinda late to the show, but let me tell you. Sesly people. She was D-R-U-N-K. Dancing like a stripper without a pole.

When they left before coming back for the encore, some gal ran up on stage and hugged JD. Then, security escorted her back down off the stage. My mom leans over and says "He was limping really bad. I'm not sure if they'll come back for an encore." I was so busy watching that whole deal with the girl, I didn't see him limping, but could tell throughout the show, he was hurting/limping here and there.

At one point, JD motioned to a roadie backstage to get him something. The roadie brings out a cane. I was like "Uh oh, he's hurting." He used the cane for like 3 seconds, put it on the drum riser, then a few minutes later, hands it to someone in the crowd. Later on, I see a man and his young son walk by and I notice the kid carrying...the cane!!!! Awww!!!

Jon threw like 3-4 drumsticks in the audience. Between that, Tim's guitar picks and the watermelon, it was a regular "HEAD'S UP" at this show! LMAO!

JD kept getting Kirk to sing along with him during one song, but can't remember which one. Maybe he does this at every show?

It was an amazing show and JD's voice is spectacular. Scott Stapp was impressive too, I was surprised.

JD passed out the cups to the audience down front and poured champagne during Devil's Party. Kirk got up on the speakers during JD's mic molestation (which...O...M...G!!) and laid down to play the sax!

JD did this rap/poetry thing which was awesome!!

He wore the Mr. Wrong shirt quite a bit, came out first in sunglasses and a jacket. At one point, wore a white like..80's type jacket. LOL

Terrific show. JD loves the F-bomb. LOL His voice is very strong, but I could hear it was hoarse here and there. Hope he gets some well-needed rest and gets that knee taken care of. :(

OK awesome recap Christy...I knew you'd capture the experience very well :D

As to the pole...yeah I know. :] When you have a chance check out my youtube of "taste it" and I do believe you will again experience his moves.

There is also a great shot of that ass. ;) If I didn't post the video here, it is on my youtube page...look up member "BTFLCHLD" if you are interested...I've a number of videos there. Granted there are the screeches from the audience and a lot of movement, but when whoever took the vid stands a bit still there are a lot of decent close-ups etc.

As to the chick/pole...I told you they are rabid. I haven't seen that many tits on display since way back in the day (o)(o) And, I do love all of the antics between the guys and the playfulness with the audience...makes for so much fun!

Scott Stapp...I thought you would enjoy him and his band. Excellent! Did you happen to notice the bass player I told you about?

Rocks you had a killer time...I want to see your :30 video so upload as you have the time. I know you are going to bed with a 3-mile smile tonight...so enjoy! :D

p.s. And, yes, he has a great voice too...I don't believe they could have found a better lead. ;)

[IMG] Thank you so much for your camera work...I know it sucks with the dickwheats eyeballing you and I appreciate you taking the chances you did. I am also pleased to have a shot of Scott's lead guitarists (I wish I knew the names.)

About JD's injury...he is a mighty strong trooper to keep going straight through this tour. I would imagine there was some pressure of the potential diss onslaught if he would have stopped the tour or they had cancelled a show or two to take care of himself sooner. I have to say that part of this whole thing sucks. I feel for him. As noted earlier, they say surgery this Sunday. Gosh...I can only hope that it turns to be something that can be repaired well without any perm damage and that he does recover quickly and heal properly. I am not sure the details of what is wrong...I am just hopeful that whatever it is it is not super bad. :distress:

As with most of my concerts...I want to experience this one again! :]

I just watched my super short video. It's not even 30 seconds, it's 14. :( At the very end, it ends very abruptly. That's because my mom tapped me on the shoulder to tell me that Camera Nazi was standing in front of me waving her finger at me to say no cameras. It's when JD was passing out cups and champagne to the audience. It's about 20% done...I'll bring back the youtube link in a few.
