do you love the bitch as much as I do? seriously, how can you not?! she is so me and me in 20 years...hell, in 5 years. I'm so sad Will & Grace is going off the air...here's a tribute to Ms. Walker aka Anastacia Beaverhausen.

I've got something tough to tell you. Uh, I'm fabulous, okay? I'm an incredible dresser, I've got buckets of money, I'm a hoot and a half, and I've got a killer rack. Do you get what I'm saying?

next?

yes, you may. and I would agree. it's evidenced by the fact that her character began as a small role and grew into a mainstay in the cast. as much as I love Jack and Grace (Will? not so much), I'd never watch it if not for Karen.

Those 2 are so funny together. Yes, Jazzy, I love that b*tch almost as much as you do. She does make the show absolutely. I think she and Jack are a major hoot together too. The show was really too serious in these later years and it got tired. I haven't been watching it for a couple of years but I do love the reruns.

She is the wisecracking, rich, drunk, pill popping, socialite - who, inexplicably, works for Grace on the recently ended NBC sitcom Will and Grace.

I'm almost totally ignorant of anything that happens on commercial television. There are shows I'd like to see & would probably enjoy, but the constant commercial interruptions have driven me away permanently from ad-infested TV.

I think with TIVO - you can edit the commercials out and watch it at your convenience. Of course, I could never have such a thing in my house because I just could not do that.

Karen is the only reason I can watch that show. Will, Grace, and Jack all annoy me to no end.

I love that woman. I wish I had a friend like her (well, perhaps not..)

This is one of my favorite Karen exchanges:

KAREN: Hi, honey.

GRACE: What are you doing here?

KAREN: You invited me.

GRACE: Yeah, but I never thought you'd come. I figured you'd be spending the holiday with Stan and the kids.

KAREN: Wha--? No. Honey, your apartment looks good. I like what you've done with the place.

GRACE: Karen, I don't live here anymore, and you've been to my new place.

KAREN: Boy... you try to be nice...

GRACE: Hmmm. Well, you've come on a good night. Jack's mother is going to be joining us, and she doesn't know Jack's gay.

KAREN: How could she not know? What is she, headless?

GRACE: I guess you believe what you choose to believe. One time, Judith caught him in bed with a guy, and Jack convinced her that they were doing a school check for lice.

KAREN: Oh.

GRACE: And when she caught him wearing her high heels, he said it was because they helped him with an inner-ear problem.

KAREN: Ah.

GRACE: And he also told her that I am his ex-girlfriend.

KAREN: And she bought that?!?!

Tribute joined. She's phenom.
Her and Will are my favorites.
I'm also the only person who has Will as a favorite, I think. They both have the most clever lines.
"oooh, honey, no. All I meant was, you're boring, and you have nothing to offer besides sex! Okay? Better?"

I love the episode where Grace needs some money to expand her business or something. Karen offers to lend her $$. But first she wants a presentation to understand Grace'e line of business. I can't remember the whole exchange, but it is hilarious! Karen says something like: "honey, I don't know what you DO ...."

Also, I used to love Grace, but she didn't seem like Grace so much anymore after she had a baby in real life...... She just looks a lot different now ... I think she gained weight? Which is all fine and normal and good, but it's not Grace. Just my two cents.:o

Also, I believe the very first episode of W&G has a Stevie reference?

there's lots of Stevie/FM references.

my favorite is when Will learns that both his mom and dad have lovers, he says "what? is my family now part of Fleetwood Mac?"

Anything/anyone known for being a gay icon has been used in some way on Will & Grace..

From Judy and Liza to Barbra to Cher to Stevie to JLO..

Actually the only Mac reference I've ever heard was the one Jason mentioned, although goes more like, "This is great, everybody's cheating on everybody, suddenly my parents are Fleetwood Mac!" I did miss the later episodes as I felt they lost a lot of the writing ability, but I've seen probably the first four seasons a hundred times (I watch it almost every day on Lifetime 12-1). I feel the show jumped the shark after Stan died, but one of the funniest scenes was when they were on the boat throwing Stan's ashes into the ocean. Will and Jack are inside singing along to Crocodile Rock while Karen and (can't remember Minnie Driver's character name) are fighting outside. Karen gets thrown overboard, and then Rosario swan dives off the boat after her. That was hysterical!

Anyway, yes, I love, love, LOVE Karen. I want a Karen in my life so that I have someone to "go buy me some happy." After Stan died they ruined her character by humanizing her. Plus, they dropped the always funny three-questions-in-a-row thing she did. "Honey, what's this, what's going on, who are you supposed to be?" I also love the line in the episode goldie mentioned, she says, "Oh honey, you have a dream. I had a dream once. It was to be rich and beautiful with a killer rack. Oh look! My dream came true!" "Well, you're all boring and I'm fun!" "Honey, get out of there, kids have been in there! You're swimming in a pit full of pink eye!" "What are you looking at preggo? Haven't you ever seen herpes before?" I could go on forever! Ah, yes, Karen Walker will be missed.

And by the way, I think I'm one of the only ones who likes all four characters. Not many people like Grace, but to me, she's pretty damn close to a modern day Lucy from I Love Lucy. Her cries, getting into "sticky" situations, etc.

A bit of a Will tribute:

I also liked the episodes when Patrick Dempsey was Will's boyfriend ....

I love the one with Kevin Bacon .... Will and him dancing ..classic.

Tonight on UPN or WB was the one where Sharon Stone was Will and Grace's therapist...

I LOVE Karen's three question thing!!!! I wish I could do that like her!

I'd recommend TV on DVD box sets. They are a lifesaver. No commericals, no week long cliff hangers. I enjoy watching TV shows much better on DVD...

There was a slight Stevie reference in last night's episode - Karen pouring herself a stiff drink of Bombay Sapphire!
