Ever notice Christine's use of the sun as a metaphore in her early Mac material?
"Now I know how the sun must feel, every time it shines"
"Even though you stop the sun from shining."
"'Cause my heart will rise up with the morning sun."

And Stevie is Moon?
Some examples:
Sisters of the Moon
"just like the moon that she loves...don't you know that the stars are a part of us?"
I know there are many more-but of course, I am drawing a blank ;)

Friend - "When the sun goes down and you’re not around."
then shortly after - "Don’t you know I told everyone, I even told the rising sun."
then shortly after - "When the sun goes down in this sleepy little town."

And Stevie is Moon?)
Nah, Stevie's lyrical fixation is rooms and people walking in to them.

Or up the stairs to them. Or down the hall from them.

WELL-if you want to get technical and look away from her moon lyrics...
We also have the ever present words of Stevie like, um:
dreams-seas, destiny, water of many types...angels, in one form or another-madness- heartbreak
give me a chance, or I'll haunt you lyrics i.e. Silver Springs,
Kind of Woman, Storms and also Sisters of the Moon-me thinks:shrug:

Actually, she didn't write the lyrics to "Friend." Robbi Patton did.
Another example of "Sun" in Chris songs:
"You woo me until the sun comes up
and you say you love me."

No. Things would only be right with the universe if Al Gore took office in 2000 and Chris's ITM sold more than five copies in 2004. But giving Robbi Patton credit for the plagiarism is a start, I guess...lol.

Aside from the sun references, have you ever noticed how many of Christine's lyrics contain a "down" and "around" verse, or something very similar? In many cases she limits her vernacular and relies heavily on that rhyme.
I once made an edit tape that featured song clips of all the examples I could find. I sent it to a friend. She said it "bummed" her out.
