Would you have a procedure done? If so, what?
If you have had one done, what was it, and are you happy with it or do you regret it?
The poll is anonymous.

yes, lord. first on my list is a nose job, which I hope to have within the next year or so; that's the only thing that's bothered me my whole life. other things I'd like: little lipo, Restylane and a brow lift (but I'm too young for that right now). when I hit that "certain" age I'm sure I'll have a mini face lift or a few small procedures, but I doubt I'll ever do a full face lift.
I've been really good to my skin since I was a teenager so I think that accounts for my good skin now. I've just become addicted to La Mer and I swear it really has made a difference. I'm religious with the night cream, eye cream and lip cream. I don't have any wrinkles, but I did have the beginnings of them (laugh lines) and I **** you not...now, they are barely even visible...I can hardly see them in a magnified mirror.

I forgot to add the nose job option! Doh! I think your nose is handsome but I totally get when you don't like something about your appearance and how it can grate on you. For me it is my butt, I need a little contouring. Even when I was really skinny it just didn't look right.

I've thought about lipo...get rid of the belly fat. That is, ONLY if I can't get motivated to drop 80 lbs and tighten the abs.

;) thank you. I'm not horrified by it, it's just my profile that I HATE. I see other people with great profiles (like, oh, I don't know, Stevie :)) and I'm so jealous...

None! I'm not superficial at all...Dont care how I appear towards others (If ya stare at me I will usually show ya that I think yer "number 1") and I dont care to please others, I only have to please Deb & myself.
So no work will ever be performed on me in this lifetime.

I am bothered by my deep smile lines, so maybe if I had the $ I would do something about those...or maybe brow furrows. After that, I think I would just let my face fall gracefully apart.

I forgot about that. Why do you hate it?
I wouldn't do it. Of course, this is me at 31, so who knows what I'll think in 20 years. :D But I'm not willing to risk my life to look different. I know, many surgeries are "minor" but there are always risks - infection, nerve damage, and even death. No thanks.

It's still big. It still has a bump (although, I love Jessica's Simpson nose). I guess because I wanted Stevie's nose (pre cocaine snorting days  ) and I still have the same nose but the tip is smaller and that's it.

I'd def have surgery if I had the money. I would have a tummy tuck, breast lift and lipo. Oh and I'd get my teeth fixed too

I never liked my looks when I was growing up, but I think my face has some character now that I've gotten older, with the laugh lines, etc.
Currently, I'm not wild about my waistline, but at this moment I'm also not willing to do the exercising to fix that. Still, I'd rather do it myself the old-fashioned way, than have lipo.
How ever old I ultimately live to be, I'm sure I'll be content with looking my age... so no cosmetic surgery for me.

My mom has mentioned to me that I can always get cosmetic surgery if I dislike my features. And then she proceeds to mention things which could use work. Thanks a lot, mom.
Well, she probably means well. I think. Sounds just like my best friend's mom.

OOPS.. I hit no, I meant yes. I want lazer resurfacing done on my face. I have some acne scars I would like to go away. I have to wait one year after I'm off Accutane, so that will be in September, and I plan on having the resurfacing done in February of next year. (tax check time!) Also, I'm not huge yet, and I'm exercising to make the waist go down, but if it gets too bad, I wouldn't rule our Bariatric (sp?) surgery.

Your poor best friend, that's brutal. Same to you taken, I can't believe your Mom would say such things. My Mom was never outright critical of my appearance but she was of her own and that is what I picked up. I'm brutal to myself.

I picked a few, but I had to qualify one I didn't pick - cheek implants. I wouldn't want cheek implants, but I might want the thing where they take the fat out of your cheeks or whatever they do so that your own cheekbones stick out more.
Also, I've been thinking of getting cosmetic tattoo freckles. I mean, not actually that I'm planning to do it, but I did just think of it and have been ruminating on it. I figure, if I get them on the upper cheekbone/lower undereye area it can block sun there/camalflouge wrinkles/cover some pores on my cheeks. Does that sound really weird? I've always loved freckles anyway, though, since I was little - and I don't really have any to speak of.
And also I'm the girl who got a tattoo on my thigh (my friend was getting one and she wanted me to get one, too - I didn't purposely go in for it) to cover up a patch of spider veins that was there....
Otherwise I picked all the lifts - breast, face, brow, eye tuck - I wouldn't want my breasts augmented, though, just lifted. It's that extra weight that brings 'em down in the first place! :p

your nose is really small and cute, I don't get it. It's perfect, it's all roundy and slightly upturned. Seriously, that is strange to me.
Can I have your old nose when you're done with it? :woohoo:
I might get a nose job, but I'm scared - I wouldn't want it to be any different shape, just the same but smaller at the tip. I don't think they can do that, so I might skip that one. I don't want that gross skinny shaved nostrilly pointy nose job nose.

:xoxo:. It's just one of those things I've never liked and figured I'd fix someday if I could.
Too roundy! It's not that small either. I don't have the bump most people get nose surgery for, but I'd like it narrower and to have a more refined tip. (But not "pinchy" refined :p.)
I didn't even know you could get "cosmetic freckles." I mean I guess you can get anything tattoed on, but I've never thought or heard of people getting freckle tattoos. That's interesting.
Well, I'm mad at you for wanting a different nose. :p I think the roundness matches your face really well. Your eyes are big and round, your lips are poofy and round, your hair is curly...round is a pleasing shape.
I've never heard of anyone getting it, either, but I don't see why they wouldn't be able to. Oddly (to me) I only really found one cosmetic tattooist in the area, and freckles weren't on her list. Seems like it would be easy, though - the important part would be color matching and also making them varied sizes so they look natural. You could probably find a pic of someone with a freckle pattern you like, and then the tattoo person could use it as a model. Just like regular tattoos, really. Heh. Freckles are so cute.

I wanted a nose job when I was younger but I don't anymore. I have a round nose and I wanted the tip thinned but now I think its so unique I wouldn't want to change it. Plus, I started talking about it and everyone I know said I was nuts and it was fine.
I understand the whole profile thing tho, Jazzy, I wish my nose were less prominent and my chin moreso. I could be dangerous if I had a lot of money, a little tweak there, one there. I can see how it would become addictive. But I would really try to resist because I wouldn't want to become something really odd.
