.....can I please ask Lindsey..to..
a) give us a break between songs (so that we can catch our breath) Just a couple of minutes gap would be fine. It takes me a good minute to realise and appreciate that I'd just heard a favourite song, before they launch into the next one.Yes, APPRECIATION time (of the song before) is what we need on the next tour.
..b) can we also please have the LONGER guitar solo on "2nd hand news"...the short cut off version drives me crazy.Nothing fancy, just longer. No need to go mad and jump up and down, flail, stamp yer feet, or any of that other windmill like nonsense (although walking/prancing up and down the stage looking intense should be encouraged!)..just a bit more guitar work on that particular song would be wonderful.
..ok, thats it, thats all I'd like to ask him..anyone else with a request?

"A" isnt gonna happen because it would prolong the entire concert...they gotta squeeze as many songs in there as they can. So you'd probably be getting 15 songs in stead of 20+
as for "B" well if you listen to the Rumours version, the guitar "solo" at the end isnt really a solo, its just a repeating lick. Not sure if he could come up with something longer that just wouldn't make the song sound weird.

1) Can all "Ledge" Members be offered the opportunity to obtain backstage passes for the Tour in their area. As the Official Fanclub is a JOKE
2) Play "I don't want to Know" Live Once for Gods sake.
3) Sign My Model 1 Lindsey.
4) Venture in to some of the old songs. Maybe a little Black Magic Woman and Oh Well would go down a treat.
5) Set a new world record by holding the worlds longest Set List. You sure have enough to choose from.
6) Dont tell Stevie your all going on tour. (ah thats a joke)
7) Play an open air concert in Ireland, Maybe book Slane for a hot summers day in July. Oh i would **** myself if i heard you were gonna do that.

I was thinking the other night of something kinda cool, that would NEVER EVER happen.
They could do like a solo/FM tour together. Like...Lindsey could come out and play his solo stuff for about 40 minutes, then, Stevie could come out and do 40 minutes, then they all come out and do 40 minutes of FM stuff...with NO Dreams, NO Rhiannon, NO regular stuff...rare stuff....perhaps an acoustic set so they can settle down from their solo sets.
Just a thought.

From my experience, the non-hardcore members of the audience would either take this opportunity to go the bathroom, or mistakenly believe that the show is over and leave.
My request...do an acoustic portion of the show which includes Storms (ala Tusk reissues bonus disc), I Don't Wanna Know, and selections from Buckingham Nicks (Frozen Love!!!)

It's funny you mention that cause Mick said on a Rockline interview before the 2004 leg that because they aren't getting any younger, there's a possibility of them combining the solo stuff with the mac stuff in one show to eliminate the need for solo tours between mac tours... I think it would be very cool to see something like that. Lindsey and Stevie seperately could do sets and essentially be the opening act for Fleetwood Mac

I like the sound of that.
Open air Irish concerts would be fabulous were it not for the open air Irish weather... :distress:
But Irish concerts full stop are definitely a good plan!
I know this is a complete fantasy but...
To celebrate 40 years of Fleetwood Mac next year, the band should put on a Fleetwood Mac Festival ala Woodstock and the like. Actually, they should do two, one in Britain where they got their start, and one in America (hey if they wanted to come to Canada I'd be cool with that too, but those two have meaning behind them...according to Mick's biography, his wife caught him cheating in Canada).
Anyways...this should take place on a weekend (and yes, Ledgies would get premium seating, V.I.P. pases, backstage tours, and time with the band). This festival would involve all (or as many as possible) of the past and present band members. At night, there would be massive shows, including all 16 members of the band and a balanced set list of all of the biggest songs from all of the eras along with the lesser-heard gems. During the day, one would have the opportunity to attend a number of smaller, more intimate performances. For example, showcases of the solo work (including Storytellers style explanations) of Bob, Chrstine, Stevie, Lindsey, Peter (I'm sure I'm forgetting people to include but you get the idea). How 'bout that acoustic Buckingham/Nicks set.
Yeah...I'd be sweet

Wow Lala..now wouldn't that be something!:blob2: :blob2: :blob2:
BTW..I heard a cover version of Dreams (on Radio one of all places!!) recently, kind of punk style..I'm guessing it's that group mentioned on the Stevie board, who's name alludes me..but on Radio One..thats amazing:shocked:

Which is something they should've been doing ANYWAY, especially since 1981.

I'd still like to see them release solo albums from time to time, but I'd be all for combined tours. I've always thought the excessive touring was a waste of time anyway... I want more new music to listen to!

Ok, so when is Klondike Days in Edmonton? Middle of June? Is that the same time of year as the Calgary Stampede?

Klondike Days is usually right after the Calgary Stampede, so mid-July.
I think they're changing Klondike Days...not really sure of specifics. Just caught something on the news a while back.
BTW, I know Mick refers to his "indiscretion" as occuring at the Calgary Stampede. However, according to the tour information on the Leg, that performance was September 7, 1977. This strikes me odd since the Stampede is usually in July.
I'm a nerd and looked it up and...

July 8 - 17, 1977
So, I'm assuming what Mick means is that they performed in or around the Stampede grounds, but not at the actual Stampede.
Sorry...VERY off topic.
