They are touring again (after 35 years-Joe Walsh; Jim Fox; Dale "Bugsy" Peters)!!
I am planning on seeing them in Sept. in the S.F. Bay Area. If anyone takes in their show between now and then, I would love to hear from you on how the band sounds.

As a kid, I was a huge James Gang fan!!! Can't wait to see them again!!

Thanks!

Thanks Amber. It's not too bad for someone with the Photoshop skills of a 3 year old. It will be gone in a day or two because I know that it is rather large and I wouldn't want to upset anyone.

Now back on topic.:D
I like Joe Walsh and I really hope that they come someplace within an hour from me. I doubt it however. Snowman if you have any more info please pass it along or just PM me. Thanks.

James Gang Hitting The Road This Summer
Joe Walsh

April 03, 2006, 4:30 PM ET

Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.
Classic rock outfit the James Gang will tour for the first time in 35 years this summer. Original members Joe Walsh, Jimmy Fox and Dale Peters are on board for the trek, which will kick off Aug. 9 at Colorado's famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Best known for the riff-heavy single "Funk #49," the James Gang formed in Cleveland in 1966 and released three albums before Walsh departed in 1971, ultimately joining the Eagles. His slot was filled by various guitarists until the James Gang's 1976 split.

In recent years, the band has played a few one-off shows, including a 1996 election rally for U.S. president Bill Clinton.

Here are the James Gang's tour dates:

Aug. 9: Morrison, Colo. (Red Rocks)
Aug. 10: Sturgis, S.D. (Buffalo Chip Campground)

Aug. 15: Clarkston, Mich. (DTE Energy Amphitheatre)
Aug. 16: Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio (Blossom Music Center)
Aug. 18: Atlantic City, N.J. (Borgata)
Aug. 19: New York (Beacon Theatre)
Aug. 22: Westbury, N.Y. (Westbury Music Fair)
Aug. 24: Atlanta (Chastain Park)
Aug. 26: Boca Raton, Fla. (Mizner Amphitheatre)
Aug. 27: Tampa, Fla. (Ruth Eckerd Hall)
Aug. 30: Dallas (Nokia Live)
Sept. 6: Los Angeles (Gibson Amphitheatre)
Sept. 8: Saratoga, Calif. (Mountain Winery)
Sept. 9: San Diego (Concerts in the Park)

They've changed a few dates and added a few since that Billboard article came out. You might want to check their official site:

Sadly, no RI dates. :(

There's always New York or New Jersey.

No, too far and too much $ but I am really surprised that something at least around the Boston area is not scheduled.

I saw them last summer at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland. Absolutely great show, small audience, great sound. It was really loud to begin with, but not loud enough for Joe, so he goes over to the amp and turns it up to the max. Effin' awesome.

I heard through the rumor mill that there might be a show in Pittsburgh, but I'm not entirely sure of that. If it's not true, I want to try for the show at Blossom, even though I hate non-G.A shows.
