I've been on the lookout for a decent amp for a while now. It looks like a Boogie amp is too big for my bedroom sessions and all i want is a decent practice amp no more than 30w.
Along with my model 1 and Boss GT6 what amp would you guys reccoment at around the £2-300 price range

I was going to suggest a Vox Valvetronix, but since you have the FX pedal board already, what about a Vox AC15, or a Carvin Vintage16?
Those would be good if you're just going to be rockin' alone at home. If you get into a band, you'll need something bigger to cut through the drums & bass.
While we're on the topic...
I've been playing on a Les Paul Custom with a Boss SD-1 pedal through a Rolan Blues-Cube 60. Although it sounds nice with bluesy stuff, especially Peter Green songs, etc., it destroys the sound of most classic rock stuff that I try to play, including any of the Lindsey-era stuff. On top of that, I'm putting together a band right now, so I'd like to work on getting a nicer sounds. Any suggestions for a good amp set up, or even just a pedal or two to help me out? I'm afraid I'm not too knowledgeable in all this stuff (this is my first venture with a band) so any help would be greatly appreciated, as it always is.
Thanks!

Thanks!I recommend the Crate BT10 bass amplifier for practice. It's excellent for both bass & keyboard.

Look for a tube (valve) amp...a much warmer tone, cuts through when in a band situation. Solid state amps, such as the Blues Cube, have a tendency to get lost in the mix.

I don't really know what you can get thats pretty good at that price Paul.
I remember way back spending about £340 on a Marshall 150w Transistor amp and I thought it was great for the cash.
I then heard a tube amp and I was sold on it. It was a choice between the Mesa Boogie F50 and the Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb. The Fender killed it and thats what I use now. It's all tube and sounds sweet. It's "only" 22 watts but it sounds far louder and it will overdrive easier than a 100w Twin. It's fine for stage use as it will get mic'ed anyway. I think I paid about £950 ($1800) but they are now as low as £710.
You could try something from Laney. They are by far and away the best sub £500 amps in my opinion. As ChiliD said, try your best to get a tube amp. They need to be treated with more respect than trans amps but the payback is 10000% better.
My setup, out of interest, is as follows right now.
I run the Model 1 through a pedaltrain containing a Budda Bud Wah, an MXR Dyna Comp, EH Big Muff, Boss SD1, Boss CH-5, Ernie Ball volume pedal and Boss DD-3 and thats about it. From there it's into a Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue (with my "signature" blue jewel lamp  ). Cable wise I used to use Monsters but they are not flexible enough for me so I use a combo of Zaolla and Planet Waves and for the pedal interconnects it varies between George L's and Boss. Right now it's all Boss.
I have a GT-6 too somewhere but I don't use it anymore so it's going on ebay soon I suspect.

Yeah Chili, I have the black one...but I couldnt find the tweed one in the guitar shops, so I "settled". I don't really care too much about the cosmetics of my amp...although I must say, I like the look of the tweed one better.

Who swore you in and gave you a badge?
It's in the Buckingham forum because this is where our fellow Turner M1 owner posted it to start the thread.

Repair or replacement.. Depends on what Rick thinks is best I guess. I'll know in a few weeks.

Okay after the Wedding Im gonna go for a Fender Blues Jr. That apparently is the ticket.
Sorry for posting on an LB forum but i thought since the amp was being linked to a M1 and a M1 is Linked to LB. It would have been okay. So post me my 3 penanlty points and a £60 fine and i won't do it again.
Im going to California on my honeymoon in August and im really considering taking my M1 so rick can eventually sign it. Wouldnt be that bad of an idea
