View Full Version : Your Dream Car

Post a photo of your DREAM CAR, the car you would own above all others if you were able to.
My dream car is the 1924 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost "Picadilly" roadster in white with brown leather trim (coachbuilder: Merrimac).
http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/3645/1924silverghostbymerrimac5gw.th.jpg (http://img407.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1924silverghostbymerrimac5gw.jpg)
The coachbuilder, Merrimac Body Company in Merrimac, MA, was one of several coachbuilders that supplied finished bodies for Rolls-Royce's manufacturing plant in the United States. I think the work Merrimac did for Rolls-Royce in the 1920s ranks as a legendary high point in the history of the motorcar.
Rolls-Royce's Silver Ghost motorcars, built from the 'teens through the 1920s, are nonpareil in the annals of luxury automobiles.

1970 Plymouth AAR 'Cuda (Preferably the last car which came off the production line, which was production number 666), I prefer either the Mopar/Cuda green (See below) or the evil as sin Gloss Black 'Cuda (One recently sold on the Jackson/Barrett auction for $210,000)

They had to be sold as road cars in order to be eligible for rallying - they were hotted up a bit for competition but basically they were the same as the ones you bought from showrooms - $20-25K now though :( Mind you, that's cheaper than a lot of the other cars on this thread!

the Nova's and Chevelle's are also up on my list (Especially the 1969 Chevelle SS), deb even wants a Nova so that is cool in my book (I dont care for any newer model cars, though the 2006/2007 Dodge Challenger Concept Car is a throwback to the classic Challenger, Somemuch that they look identical to the 1970 Challengers with the awesome 'Cuda body style!)

my much loved and missed Mother, She has "Cherry Bomb" glass packs added onto her 1976 Pontiac Trans-Am (454 Chevy V8) just to annoy those in other cars when she would sit at a stop light.
Her car looked similar to the one below (With the "Honeycomb" wheels and front grill) but her TA (Which she said meant "Tits & Ass"...Because when she would get pulled over for the "occassional" speeding ticket, she would tempt the officer with a lil' look of the "T" and her "A" wouldnt never get a ticket just a warning!) was a golden yellow color and not the lame "T-Top" version (She had a 1978 T-Top T.A. too along with the 1968 Camaro SS she bought)

<div align=center><img src="http://www.1966batmobile.com/nate2004.jpg"></div>
Kinda a funny story, but just last week the Batmobile broke down on the side of the highway going into OKC after the transmission line broke (I guess Batman forgot to ask Robin to check the thing before making the drive to OKC), So the OKC PD & the OHP "Viligently" guarded the "Caped Crusader's" car until it could be repaired

mid 30's when she owned her muscle cars...She used to drive my oldest brother to high school in her '76 TA, And my brother's friends were interested to know "Who is that groovy chick that drove ya to school" (This occurred about 1979-1980) and he had to tell 'em "That's my Mom"

Yeah my new boss has got one (so far in the past 7 days I've seen him in this, his Ferrari 550 Maranello and his Lamborghini Diablo). I know which I prefer to drool on.
The F430 is my favorite car, it just screams and wails like a racing Ferrari and is the best car they have produced for many years.
Just to give it some street cred (as if it needs any!) Sonny Crockett (Colin Farrell) will be pounding it around the causeways in the new Miami Vice movie too. It's cool, he's not..

So many cars to choose from. I would love a kick ass sports car, this one specifically Saab Aero-X.

However, these extreme cars come with extreme insurance rates and extreme risk of tickets. The speed is pretty useless, especially here in CA.
So I might have to go with a classier ride:

See now I agree (out comes my practical side!) Where does the shopping go in these fast cars?? Where are you able to use the speed for which these things are designed? Insurance would be thru the roof, I'd be worried about leaving it on the street at night..so many sensible q's.Hmmm....If these cars reflect our inner personalities, then there's a lot of fast racey Ledgies about..haha.
