That's OK. I check that site once every day.:) The message board is really way too Buckingham/Nicks focused for my taste, but the site itself is terrific.

What's funny is that "Come Softly" was originally done by a group called the Fleetwoods back in the late 1950s or early 1960s.

I'm not trying to speak for Mary Anne, BUT, sometimes it just gets tiresome, arguing with "those people". Especially the Chiffon wearing ones. I mean, what's the point?

I actually did post on that board for a while. But, the few Christine fans that were there dropped out one by one, so I did too. When I left, it was crawling with mostly those Chiffon ones & even some Buckingham fanatics. That's not for me.

db, I don't mind if you speak for me, since we usually agree about most things anyway.;) :D

I still check it out quite often but as others have said it's mainly Stevie and Lindsey fans so after a while it's a bit boring.

There is a discussion about Christine's voice going on at the moment so I joined in with that but not much else really.

I'd forgotten how good Come Softly is.

It might have been on Bob's album but it's Christine's song.

thanks for these

No. I don't have any reason to go to Kent so I doubt if I'll ever see it.

I don't think I'd make a special trip - I'd feel like a stalker!

Homer, you have to check out the Chris forum on the Seven Wonders board. There's someone who posts there who has seen her. She even passed Chris on the street when she was walking her dogs.

Well if I was going to France for the day I would usually go via the Channel Tunnel which is near Folkstone and I suppose I could make a detour on the way back.

I'd still feel like a stalker though!

No - too creepy!

yeah I saw that, can you imagine?! Chris stopping on the street to clean up after her dogs LOL.

although the dogs would be a great conversation starter, i'd get that wheel turning, baby....

that was question I thought of for the ill-fated Q&A!

Christine do you clean up the dog poo when you walk your dogs?

I think of that when people describe her as "legendary" - I bet she feels really legendary cleaning up dog mess or picking their dinner out of their beards!

I suppose I could pretend I was lost!

But you'd have to have had really lost your way to end up near her house from Canterbury Cathedral. I'm not sure there's a castle nearby unless Leeds Castle is close. I'll look it up on the map when I get home and see if there's anything close.

Perhaps I could pretend I'd just moved in next door and needed to borrow a cup of sugar

Mind you her nearest neighbour is probably about 5 miles away!

I'd just love to see what her house looks like.
It would REALLY bother me if I saw her picking up doggy doo! I'll bet she doesn't. If she won't answer our questions, she sure ain't picking up no doggy doo! (yes, I believe there's a correlation)

I think the best way to talk her without looking like a stalker would be to hang out at the local pub in her small town. She admits to going there occasionally. If you dropped in on a regular basis, chances are you'd one day meet her. And from that point, you could finesse, finesse...

I really can't picture her cleaning up dog poo, but somebody must. She seems too regal to do something like that herself. Maybe she's hired somebody to do the "dirty" work.

I don't know how many people here who post on the Ledge who check out the Chris forum on the Seven Wonders board, but there's something of great interest there right now. It seems that there was a Christine sighting in the local Safeway in Kent.:)

We should tie him to Christine's little scooter thing, send him off down the street, then nab the computer. And if she comes running after us, then we distract her with a box of Hobnobs.
