Last night, I dreamt that I was McDonalds drinking lemonade when Bob Welch walked past my seat. I got up and asked him if he could teach me how to play guitar in his spare time. He agreed, and we spent the better part of four months jamming out in our tiny, dusty basement. A while later, we managed to pull together a band, and we suddenly became the only Fleetwood Mac tribute band in the world with a former member of Fleetwood Mac in it.
We didn't do any big hits - no Go Your Own Way, no Rhiannon, no Don't Stop. We did nothing but rarities, album cuts, B-sides, and so on. Everything from Miles Away to Oh Daddy to Oh Well. We also did a whole bunch of lost classics from solo albums. We all became terribly rich, toured the country in our Lear Jet, and eventually John McVie got sick of his job and defected to our band. And with that, my little dream ended.
Man, I am one silly dreamer!

 I had nightmares, before I saw them at the Ford Center.
I was worried that I wouldnt make the show in time, and all this, and finally, I ran outside, and they were playing Running Through The Garden in my Aunt's backyard (I had been hoping that they would play it, since it had been dropped, this nightmare just concludes how much I really REALLY wanted to hear it :( ) I talked to Stevie afterward, but I dont remember what we talked about. I just woke up and laughed.

I had a dream about Lindsey once. It was...interesting, to say the least. But let's not go there. ;)

Yeah, quite a few. Usually just Stevie, but I once had this very beautiful dream that seemed really real - not the actions in the dream, but the feelings.
Fleetwood Mac (L&S incarnation) hadn't quite blown up yet. So, LIndsey, Stevie, me, and a few other people were going to play a show in Chico (a smallish show, you know - Like concert in the park) and so we were all floating down the river on a big innertube that had a teepee like structure built onto it so we had something to hold on to. We were just all laughing and free, no one was glamorous and famous yet, we were all in those levis and t-shirts and the casual clothes Linds and Steve wore in the beginning. Just feeling good and having a good time in the sun - all beautiful and warm and happy and practicing songs. (those are the feelings that felt real). Then Lindsey started to flirt with me a little, and I was hoping Stevie wouldn't notice (yeah, because the innertube was so big  ) but it was light flirting and all in fun, and Stevie either didn't notice or didn't care.
We just kind of drifted into town, and the dream pretty much ended. :)
I felt very very calm and happy and fulfilled after that dream.
When I have dreams about just Stevie, which is more usual, I'm usually trying to see her or get to her at a party or maybe out and around, but can't quite meet her.

Dozens. One had Lindsey giving me a piggyback around my house. I know, I was confused too.

I don't believe I've ever had a Fleetwood Mac related dream. Not that I can recall anyway. I had a dream last week I was talking to David Gilmour about something or other  I think I may have been on tour with him!!
I had a dream the other day where I was at a swimming pool with my school girlfriend and a boy I knew in my class from years ago, strange thing was I felt like I was maybe 11 or 12 years of age... Weird stuff.
I have had premonitions, dreams and feelings of impending disasters which have happened as I have predicted sometimes months before and also on the exact day I've described. My mother gets this too and my great grandmother had supposed psychic abilities so it's something I live with but it's disturbing and unpleasant and I rarely talk about it.

The only one I can recall was when I dreamed as a kid that I met Stevie. That's about it.

my dreams are always weird, specially about geography, I mean, is like walking in the street where I lived when I was a child, and then turning the corner I'm at Venice, always like that, my dreams always mix places.
I have dreamed about going to a mac concert, with backstage. And remember another one I talked to Christine, but I always forget details, can't remember my dreams

I had this one dream where I was in a parking lot and I saw Mick and Lindsey in a red SUV. So I chilled with them for a while. Then, somehow, they turned into Bill Clinton and Gary Coleman, respectively.
Oh, I also had a dream where I was at a bar getting drunk with Christine and this girl from my school.
That's all I can remember, but I'm sure I've had more.

I don't need mine interpreted (although she is good). It appears I have no subtext, no wall between my conscious and subconscious. I say this, because my dream is exactly what I would really want to do. I don't think any aspects of it really represent something else. :)

I had two weird FM-related dreams a long time ago, & I even posted about them on part of the Penguin (where all the fans put down their recollections).
One dream took place in Denver, up in the mountains, & the other took place at the oceanfront. No tsunamis, though.

Are you serious? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Why? What's the point?
It's like annoying blocked calls. People hiding behind a call when I'm going to know who it is anyway. Pet peeve of mine. All the people I know that have it, are kinda odd and somewhat paranoid to extremely paranoid people. Just my observation with people I know.

I think "dumbest thing I've ever heard" is a rather rash exaggeration don't you think?
Firstly I like my privacy. Secondly, I like to browse the threads without everybody else knowing what I'm reading or replying to, I don't feel the need to rush to reply either which I used to. Thirdly, the facility to do so is part of the user profile and it's my perogative. May I suggest you check out the different user settings on the site before asking such a banal question.
Interesting you quote paranoid friends and then go on to berate me. In my own personal space (which I am at home, the only place I access The Ledge) I come and go online and don't like to see my name pop up and disappear with regularity. In public, on the telephone and in my profession I am outgoing and a very approachable person. The trouble with the internet is you can never really gain a true perception of a person, especially on a public message board and therefore I never judge or attack other users personally, check out my 1000+ posts if you want. Also, since I was asked to come back to The Ledge I decided to use the hidden feature and hold onto what privacy I can.. :wavey:
* note. After pulling your jacket I noticed you are an actor right? So having paranoid friends might not be so unusual! Therefore I'll let you off with that one  :wavey:

LOL. Why do feel as though I berated you? Quite contrary, you just berated me! LOL. Look, I just thought it was dumb to hide a persons status on a message forum. Never said you were dumb. The concept is dumb. Touchy!
I think it's strange to be here on a public posting forum and actively post, yet hide. What's the point? I just wondered cause Amber practically lives here and I have never seen her green bulb illuminate, yet I see her replies everywhere. I honestly had no idea you can go through the trouble and set that up, again on a public forum. I don't think doing that here consititues "privacy," you're still here. But that's me and I'm sure I can just go fuk myself if you don't agree.

I've no idea what the point is really. Just that I guess i have a tendency to jump on and off here all the time and I prefer not to be seen doing it. I don't think I'm paranoid. I've probably got a little touch of O/C though.
As for amber I have no idea, I suspect she puts some serious hours in on here on and off. Anybody that has nearly 19,000 posts obviously has an opinion on most things! :)
You could go f**k yourself but it's probably not a good idea. The only Ledgie I have that accolade reserved for is our Dutch chum Gerald. ;)

You know, Amber, secretive is not a word I'd choose for Cancer. Leave that to a Scorpio, they do it so much better.
Just continue to move about life in an indirect manner, such as the crab.

i had a stevie dream last night which is a bit unusual
altho is was detailed, i will keep it brief as thats my preference
stevie fell on 'hard times' and was opening a spectical in a small town
while driving i spotted a pink/blue neon sign stevie nicks
i wanted to get a closer look (tell the ledgies all about it  )
but as i approached the stage stevie was upset...
pointing at paparazzis and other types approachimg nearby
she never directly look at me... (yeah!)
she was however total pout that 'everybody would find out' :(
yet i ask you how could we miss this amazing sight!
i immed stepped into the shadows and left allowing her due respect for her apparent wishes

I don't know the point either. But you know, Madformac...someone mentioned the fact that I pop in and pop out...it's true, I'm a net surfer...so much going on and things to read and see and hear and I'm generally a one browser window kinda guy. You know that though, I'm sure.

I know you don't like hearing it, but you're gonna. Just like I'm putting up with your crabby pinchers.
I stand by my comment that Scorpios are better at secrets than a Cancer. Cancer wears their emotions on their sleeve. Easy to read...they just don't like getting cornered and called out. That's when they retreat. So what do you do when this happens? Withdraw or attack. Much more sensitive than secretive. I read plenty of books and granted opinions change from author to author, but I know enough to call it. But secretive? Puhlease. The only thing Cancer is really good at is manipulation.
It's like every Cancer I know say they can get a joke, but they can't (especially if they're the butt of the joke). Every Cancer I know thinks their funny (telling their silly jokes), but they're not.
So again, I ask, no, I implore you, tell me your rising or moon.
EDIT:
Also since I'm a Capricorn, you see right through your opposite sign. All opposite signs can see through each other. Don't get me wrong, I love Cancers...they can be so wonderfully, emotionally deep.

I had a really weird dream just last week. I dreamt that I was getting ready to see Stevie in concert and I was with 2 friends who I did not know. I was afraid that we were going to be late but we got there very early. We went over to the side of the stage near the stairs and sure enough Stevie was right over there. There were only about 10 people at the arena at that time so we all went right over to the metal bar that was in front of the stairs. I was the first person in front of the bar and I was standing right in front of her. Well, she started to chat and shake hands with the person right next me and on down the opposite way. Boy was I pissed!
So finally I got her attention and she was very nice and said ‘Hi, nice to see you” and she gave me a big smile all while holding my hands. OK, in my dream I was all dolled up but I did not get to do my nails and my nails were unpainted and kind of all different shapes and sizes. Well, she looked down at my hands as she was holding them and she made this weird face and shook her head NO and said something like ‘Oh how could you?” and she walked away from me. I was mortified! I could not believe that Stevie was a nail snob! I think that I was really rude to her at the concert. I think I showed her just one of my nails on one of my fingers if you know what I mean and then I walked out.

^ Stevie has no right to look down on your manicure, what with her 1988 hooker-red polish she still insists on wearing.
I've had a few, most were right before shows about being late or unable to find my seat, or realizing I was 10,000 feet away & couldn't see a thing.
But my favorite was when Mac played on my elementary school's stage - which is in the cafeteria, btw.

*sigh* I don't deny Scorpios are better at it. And wearing your emotions on your sleeve (face) is different than actually revealing secrets about yourself or someone else.
As for "getting called out" and retreating when an emotion is spotted, yeah, I do that sometimes. So what?
I can take a joke. Not every joke, people can't massively rip on me in mean spirit without me saying something. It's weird how every Cancer you know isn't funny, don't you think? Little suspicious, right? Maybe it's you. I'd also like to add that I think Ryan, Danax, Ragandbone, Krista, AlltheSame, Romy, SteveMacD, are funny - they are Cancers on this board.
Besides, a Capricorn judging who is funny is ridiculous and pointless. And a Capricorn judging who and who cannot take a joke is laughable as well, since Caps are not known for their self deprecation or lighthearted approach to living.
I think it's bull**** that people can "see right through" their opposite sign, by the way. Few earth signs understand me at all, they are largely to stolid, or I am too ephemeral. I've only had one good earth sign friend in my life, in fact. (Hi Paula!!!:xoxo: ) And only one earth sign boyfriend, but he didn't get me, and he was boring.
I'd certainly never claim to see right through all Capricorns.
And I've already told you my rising sign and moon, but I'll do it again. Rising aquarius, moon sagittarius, venus gemini, mars leo, mercury cancer, saturn cancer. I have a neptune/moon/midheaven conjunction in Sag. Additionally, I have no earth signs in my entire chart.
Oh, and those weren't crabby pincers. But these are. :)

You make me laugh. So sensitive it kills me. All too easy. I was so amused by you last night that I read our postings to a Astrologer friend this morning. We were laughing so hard.
Keep that Aquarius in check! That most idealistic sign tends to make you think you are certain ways because that's what you desire to be or find pleasantly ideal, but often, you're not. Aquarius is very good at doing that. Strong ideas and thoughts but they don't always adhere to them. Is it in the first house by chance? If so, count on that to be even more true. Any sign in the first house within your chart plays a strong, predominant role.
Reading all your posts that I have (through time), it's pretty evident you have no grounding element in your chart. Not a surprise to find out! I'm glad you told me, you make even more sense to me now.
As for humor. Yes, it's all relative. Everyone likes to think they're funny, but not everyone's funny. We all can't be comedians. Obviously I was making a sweeping generalization (which you being non-grounded missed!), some of my Cancer friends do make me laugh on occasion. But generally not in the way they intended. It's more of a cute chuckle than an all out, stomach heaving, roll out of a laugh. I also would never bring up other folks names into our discussion, even if it is for the most part good cheeky fun. I can't believe you did that!
As for opposite signs seeing through each other. It's true. Think of your opposite sign as the Yin/Yang, two opposing contradictions, but are perfectly balanced. Dig deeper, Amber, dig deeper. It's hard for air/fire signs. You have them right in emotions/feelings (Sag), how others see you inner motivation (Aquarius), love/sex/passions (Gemini...eeek) and another most important aspect, midheaven (Sag). When you're in perfect balance, you're most like a Sag. When you feel right, read a Sag chart and see what happens.
Course...all this astrology jabber could be complete bull****.

And sadly, you don't make me laugh.
If we're both contributing to the same conversation, how am I the sensitive one? You're saying your point just the same as I am. You think you're right just like I do.
Trust you to try to seem superior and not sensitive. And then to tell me to keep something in check.
You're pretty ridiculous, actually. Try to keep that in check.
And I hardly think it is a faux pas to name people while complimenting them. It's not like these people's signs are a secret!
Reading your posts it's pretty obvious to me that you have too many grounding elements.
It's simplistic of you to say: "Think of your opposite sign as the Yin/Yang, two opposing contradictions, but are perfectly balanced."
My opposite sign isn't my perfect opposite/balance, because everyone is made up of a whole chart, no one is all exactly like their sign. Which is why it's foolish to say you can see right through your opposite. I mean, I can probably more easily see right through a gemini, or an aries, and I've had some Scorpios see right through me, but never a capricorn.
However, I now vote you "person who is most adamant that they can see through me, but really doesn't know me at all".
I mean, really, how arrogant. It's okay, though - people often misinterpret me - they think I'm thinking and doing something that I'm not, they think I feel how I don't, etc.
One of my biggest pet peeves is people who try to irritate someone purposely, then act superior because that person got irritated. Oh, good job!
And I have Jupiter in Pisces in the first house.
And for various reasons which would take a long time to explain, saying that I'll feel most balanced when Sag like is only a fraction true. It's important, yes, but I think more in the career sector. Especially considering it's aspects, and also the fact that I have a (most likely) stronger influence with sun, saturn, & mercury within a few degrees of each other in Cancer in the fifth house. Would that it were that simple, however....
I wish Towie were here. Which reminds me that he said he was once in a band with a Capricorn and a Cancer - He's an Aries...
He'd have a whole nother interesting perspective, too.

As for opposite signs seeing through each other. It's true. Think of your opposite sign as the Yin/Yang, two opposing contradictions, but are perfectly balanced.
This works (for me) if you think of oppositional forces as being in relationship, then the "seeing-through" can be a kind of empathy, rather than transparency.
Did you ever know anyone who walked into a plate glass door, because they only saw through it?
ouch!
*note. I know very little about astrology, although I did live with 3 astrologers, once.

More laughs! Thanks, Amber, you're making my day. Sorry you're not amused by all this. It's all rather silly, dont'cha think? But being non-grounded, you find no humor. You're not so mellow, so down-to-earth.
"See right through it" is an expression, not a literal translation. You're not very fun to spar with and this is getting rather tedious for the written word. Would much rather have a conversation with you. But then I don't think we'd actually really like each other. LOL.
Actually Amber, I am also an Aquarius Rising, in the first house no less. Got Aquarius in several other places and water, lot's of water, Scorpio, all Scorpio and 1 Pisces. And one misplaced Aries! Aries are, in general, my least favorite sign (I lived with 2 of them, male and female, at one time!). But that's another story.
You said:

Who's doing what to whom now? You're a silly girl.

You are wrong. Cancer keeps their own counsel while ferreting secrets out of others. What books have you been reading? I've read that Cancer doesn't like to reveal their secrets like, a million times. Hard to believe you missed that. :)
I can't speak for all Cancers, but I am just like Amber stated. I am extremely secretive. That is one of the reasons I don't do livejournal and am not that into MySpace -- I don't want to post more than trivial things about myself. :)
But, I do enjoy prying secrets out of others.

I had a dream once that I was interviewing Lindsey for some rock magazine . I can't remember any more than that. I know I've dreamed of Stevie too but I can't remember those dreams because they are so few and far between :( .

You know, Amber, secretive is not a word I'd choose for Cancer. Leave that to a Scorpio, they do it so much better.
Gee thanks. But you know it's so true, about Scorpios anyway. I don't know much about Cancers other than that they are fellow waters signs :xoxo:, are highly emotional and sensitive (but not as much as Pisces) and that the body part they rule is the chest. They are known for their big chestal  regions, supposedly.
Scorpios are also heavily preoccupied with sex and death, (and sometimes comingled []) have I mentioned that I'm proud to be a Scorpio?

Seems more like reclusiveness than secrecy. Everyone has secrets.

I am a Taurus and I don't like to put too much info on MySpace either. I can't believe some of the info that people out there. I have seen people put their full name on there. I would never.
